I went from +28 Wit with symbols to +29 Wit and my rez stayed the same 85% for both , is the rules that the max stat you can raise with benefit 5 on anything?

Im having an issue at +28 wit my rez is 85% on bishop when I put on my +1wit +1dex had it takes me to +29 wit but my rez is still at 85% am I missing something here ?
