  1. EU Essence received the same changes so how does work? NCWest is solely able to determine content for everyone else? What's more these content update makes sense on EU as an overall xp boost event they had. Their event rotation is with Blaze event with buffs that give you growth rune fragments. Alligator island gives you growth runes... They also buffed the base xp on mobs and received the same buff on low level transcendence. This seems to be a standard content and event update and nothing at all to do with any feedback. How does this make sense if EU and other regions receive the same update? The only difference is the timing of event rotation, but received the same changes to AA and alligator island etc. Since there are multiple regions with different servers (KR/JP/EU/RU/NA) of the SAME GAME, how is it even possible any feedback is shared? It has to be a top-down decision so all regions receive the same update and changes. Systemic changes like AA has to be consistent because it is with base gameplay. NA was the last one to start Essence/Aden and behind to everyone else so NA would have the least say out of anyone. End game content like Goddard only makes sense on mature servers that have progressed with multiple 90s and have the gear to do them and it takes a good 1 or 2 years for a server to reach this point. NA Aden has not even been out 1 year at this point. This means NA is simply receving standard updates following everyone else... Issue is that it is not possible for NA GMs to have any impact on NA Aden. Trying to explain something that is impossible to happen.
  2. They buy adena because they want to. They want the advantage of buying adena to get ahead. They don't care about anything else. They even want more! This is what tradeable lcoins are suppose to alleviate. Allowing players a legal way to buy adena essentially, but it isn't foolproof. Why? Because adena sellers remain to offer competitive prices and it is still cheaper to buy adena then trying to sell lcoins. You also have to go through the hassle of finding buyers and negotiating price. Direct adena purchase is convenient and remains to be competitive. This is long past the innocent belief of "don't cheat". It's completely accepted part of the culture. What's worse is that it became a profitable business. It is straight up mobster racketeering and you have to assume the worst. That's why "nothing will happen".
  3. To 80ish, but leveling is not linear in this game. It's exponential. It becomes drastically harder at higher levels. This is what I mean by not understanding the game. Later on one level can easily take over a month and longer. You should read the patch notes. It explains everything. There is also a database for this game. The game has been out nearly 3 years on EU. It's not new.
  4. The game is populated. Problem is it's overpopulated. Aden/Essence does not handle high pop very well because there is only 1 zone per level range. The complaint can be seen everywhere and it is an issue of game design. If it is too populated the game lags during events like Balok. TOI is prone to lag because it is such a big zone. The problem is exacerbated with a high client limit like 10 on NA. There aren't thousands of players. It's 100 x10. The game will always be dominated by one clan on a server because it is the natural result of the game being p2w. Only so many "whales" willing to spend $10,000+ to be competitive in pvp. "Active" is relative. Vast majority afks with as many boxes they can afford. Hardly any active clans doing things like clan raids besides the top one. Vast majority of clans listed in clan entry are alt clans of the same people. The only real benefit of a populated server is economy and pvp if you are into it and can afford to do it. Vanguard patch brought some updates to archers and mages, but most likely isn't enough to change the meta of dk/titan. It's pointless to consider pvp if you aren't willing to spend $10,000+ anyways and even that would still get you one shot. There are no shortcuts to leveling in this game ever. The grind is the game. Maybe some xp boost events. 81 isn't much anyways. The "Hero's Starter Kit" was added later and will get you 81 in a week as it contains a bunch of red lanterns. Average player is looking at 1 year to 90 easily. It took over 1 year to get 91 to 92 on RU server. If you do not understand how L2 works, the game is probably not for you at all. Then there is PK.... People are still here, but some came from EU Essence which has been open 2+ years now. PK was the reason many quit. Same one clan domination and pking everyone else. EU is in turn "dead" now. Some EU refugees currently playing on NA most likely like the higher client as EU is officially only dualboxing. Essence is actually quite popular. This is not the problem at all. Problem is there being multiple regions and servers. "Illegal" servers are thriving and there are thousands. RU has their own server that is populated with good reviews. They are also cheaper.
  5. This is the self-entitlement attitude that bothers me. It is the "I'm a big spender so I'm entitled to anything". The term "whale" comes from casinos. Real whales that spend millions on a weekend. But casinos cater to everyone down to the dollar table. It is open to anyone and everyone can enjoy their time whatever their spending. A "f2p" customer isn't going to get the penthouse suite, but whales don't demand the entire casino to be cleared out on their whim. They get their own special room and VIP treatment. No one gets in each other's way. "Whales" do get something for their investment. They get billions in castle tax for free every week. Uncontested free farm and the best loot in the game. Affording boxes that are more geared than the average f2p player. They do get something for their troubles. And this still isn't enough? Where do castle tax come from? What would happen if it was just whales on a server? A healthy player economy benefits everyone. It is actually a mutually interdependent ecosystem. Predators die without any prey. This is biology 101.
  6. pks not allowed in town teleport function disabled (previously had to talk to gk npc) pks don't cause xp loss and item drop Teleport was one of the biggest complaints in classic. PKs still can't talk to npcs and teleport was not possible since you had to talk to gatekeeper. Since you don't need to talk to gk anymore they can still teleport. The easy and instant teleports is ridiculous when combined with pk and pvp. None of this was possible in classic when back in the days people were doing /unstuck. Just traveling was part of the game. Think about how different the gameplay is when people were running to save teleport costs. illegal servers are allowing lcoin to be farmable which trivializes the xp loss. This wasn't even an option in classic. You needed a bishop. Now it's "insert coin" for everything. Money ruins everything. They turned this game into an arcade instead of simply making a good game. The game is already at the point where you have to pay lcoin to kill a mob. There are too many issues when you get into it. The only real solution is a separate pvp and pve server.
  7. This topic is just about PK in general. PK happens all the time. Not always over raids. Not anywhere near raids. The point is you only make this specific case about fighting over raids, but most people understand pk as to happen anywhere. In fact no one has every brought up world raids. Maybe for limited time server events, but not regular raids. What is your point of view about pks that happen anywhere like in regular zones? There is nothing stopping someone from clearing out entire zones and this actually happens. You can pk someone for no reason. No reason at all to kill somebody in a virtual world. Because you can it doesn't mean you have to. In the real world, there are consequences. You go to jail. What are the consequences in this game? Nothing. That's why you do it because you can get away with it. But we have something called a conscience, morality and ethics that govern the real world and our society. Without these things civilization would not be possible. This kind of behavior is why some have hypothesized about "criminal tendencies". This is all over your head for someone who's only ever read dragonball and spiderman comics.
  8. You can't mix pvp and p2w. This toxic combination was the downfall. Koreans started a survey on a pve server or a non-pvp server. The response was overwhelmingly, yes. This is one of the most definitive solution to provide a separate pve server where pk is not possible. NCSoft was basically naive. Introducing p2w that spiraled out of control and eventually realizing that the cost was significant. So they changed the item drop penalty. They won't go back to the original penalties. They are also too addicted to the loot box model themselves. The problem is the combination of p2w and pvp. If they refuse to change the f2p/p2w model, the only real solution moving forward is to create a separate pvp and pve server. It is too difficult to try to balance pk and open world pvp. No one likes random pk. Not even the so-called "pvpers" themselves. They all must resort to auto-bsoe and botting and incredible hypocrites. The idea for pve server has been set in motion. It will happen and the only way to save this at this point.
  9. Did you really? No one has ever mentioned Alligator Island. Ever. Who even does Alligator Island at all? How is a game labeled "free to play" has an instance that REQUIRES money to play? Alligator Island requires lcoin. The only way to acquire lcoin is through buying with real money. How about not requiring lcoin as a fee for an instance and game content? Please show proof that you shared feedback with the development team. Also note that Innova runs the same game on a different server WITH DIFFERENCES. That some of these changes do not require the involvement of the development team. It is an independent decision made by the publisher. If EU Essence and NA Aden has differences, the conclusion is that publishers, not the developers, can make changes. PSA: On EU Essence, you will never have to worry about soulshot costs due to the Achievement box feature. This feature does not exist on NA.
  10. Exact same thing on classic because essence is essentially the same: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/24446-feedback-request-hunting-zones/ You might say "if you don't like it leave", but this isn't fair because we are all here because it's a good game. Everyone benefits if the game is improved. Are they actually talking to the devs? I'm having doubts and not even sure they are. Show us proof of these discussions. Show us emails and correspondences that prove you are having discussions. The devs are Korean. How do you manage with translation and the language barrier? Do you use google translate or have someone that is bilingual in Korean/English? The business practice is so digusting NCSoft needs to be reported to the Better Business Burea or the FTC. Unfair business practice and false advertising for calling it "free to play". The original devs that created the game probably aren't even around anymore. The game was originally subscription and since it became f2p, it's probably been overrun by greedy and corrupt business people that aren't gamers. The only way to force them to change at this point is to BOYCOTT. Yes you perpetual addicts need to stand your ground and not spend and BOYCOTT. Take one month and not spend a dime. Not one single loot box purchase. As long as you keep spending they won't change. Players are fed up and it's obvious. Years and years the same thing. Sucker born a minute. A good game has to be created by a gamer. Amazon failed their debut in the gaming market because the lead developer was not a gamer. The person was even criticized for it and sure enough the game failed. L2 is overrun by business people and not gamers who are passionate about it. Blinded by greed. Corrupted from within. You want a suggestion? BOYCOTT. Have the CEO of NCSoft talk to the press. It's time to come clean.
  11. EU has their own servers with EU times. These are the NA servers so they have no obligation to cater to players outside the region. NA has daylight savings time as well. Again this is NA, not EU.
  12. Problem is NCWest as even Innova running the EU Essence servers have difference. That different publishers (or management) have impact on the game, independent from the developers. Innova started a streamer partner program offering potentially up to $1000 in lcoin per month. This is a publisher driven initiative. NCWest would never do such a thing. Even if it's the same game I'm unaware of the publishers having discussion with each other. Korea is different because they get to interact directly with the parent company and developers. I've been suspecting one of the big problem with this game is the language barrier. They are based in Korea so you need to speak Korean if you want to speak to the devs.
  13. Is this a thinly veiled attempt to look like the "good guys"? The problem has always been the same. Same with classic. You purposefully set adena at starvation levels to not make enough for consumable costs. Mobs are always set too high to force players to spend money for necessary upgrades to hunt them. It is either inefficient or impossible in some cases. Over and over, year after year, the same thing. You need to first lay down a groundwork. What is the company's expectation? Is it really reasonable to expect players to spend $200 - $500 a month to play a video game? Is it reasonable to call the game "free to play" when the math shows it will take 100 years (no exaggeration) to get to 90? Do you think players actually enjoy having to spend so much or grind 3 years for 1 item? You don't need any feedback because you already know what players want. You call the game "free", but you actually want money and players to spend. This is dishonesty and without an honest discussion nothing constructive can be achieved. You have the exact math of the game. Mob difficulty, character power, xp and adena. You know EXACTLY what is going on and what you are doing when you set those levels yourself. You know exactly how long it will take to level. The items required to hunt monsters and the cost of the items. You've been doing it for over 10 years so there is no excuse to feign ignorance.
  14. https://lineage2.plaync.com/board/l2free/view?articleId=383200&categoryId=l2free Heard it here first folks.
  15. Hi, The topic is PK. Not PVP. The game distinguishes the two and has separate counters for them. There is a reason why they are called differently and have separate terms. In case you didn't know, PK stands for Player Killing and PVP is Player vs Player. If you pvp, the character does not turn red. If you do not understand the difference it makes you ignorant. If you are intentionally confusing the two, it makes you a liar.
