  1. if you look at it from a gameplay point of view, you are certainly right.

Then there is the financial aspect. NCWest is generating its revenue by fostering inequality. Fafurion will certainly increase the gap between the Haves and the Have Nots - only very few players will be able to hunt in the new areas, and those few will get there equipment that will put them even more ahead of the majority on the server, who will sooner or later quit in despair. On the other hand, the new Cursed Sword mechanics will lead to a mass quit anyway. After a few weeks only a few dozen top players will be left, and their bots at the Fairy Settlement etc. (the Cursed Swords are only dropped by characters of lvl 95 and above, so Ertheia bots are not a target). But since most of NCWest's revenue is coming from precisely those top players, Juji probably won't notice much of a difference on his spreadsheet. If anything, because of the great reduction in player numbers the servers will run more stable :D

  2. It was more an accident. The entrance tunnel to Antharas' Lair has collapsed. So far rescue teams have not yet penetrated to the inner part to verify the well-being or otherwise of the Land Dragon. Possibly Antharas got killed and eaten by Ishika, whom you can reach magically each Wednesday and Thursday :D

  3. Today there was a major update in Korea, with a new daily one-hour instance on the Isle of Souls that costs an entry fee of 150,000 adena for players of lvl 107~120, with monsters of lvl 112. The duration of the instance can be extended in hourly intervals to a maximum of 6 hours with a Time Recharge Stone.

In Antharas' Lair the new Boss Ishika appears twice per week at 22:00, with the spawn area becoming a battle ground like during sieges. Last hit party resp. Command Channel gets the looting rights.

Dragon Valley gets upgraded to lvl 119~120, all old monsters there and in Antharas' Lair, including Antharas herself, are being removed.

Expand Invetory, Expand Trade etc. are now skills which are learned at lvl 20. The old Expand Inventory that was paid for is being removed, the expended adena is returned to the character.

  4. Don't worry. When it's no longer 24/7 but 0.5/7 even the thickest brick will realize that it's more cost-efficient to buy NCoins than paying for the electricity a computer consumes while displaying dead corpses 10 hours per day xD

About the Rules of Conduct you are right. Since as of May deliberate and organised harassment will be politically wanted and built into the system, they should remove the first rule from said Rules. But I guess they need to put that up in order to get the Teen rating and be able to skim off children's pocket money. It will be tacitly understood that the first rule is just there for legal reasons and doesn't really apply. Like with the rule that Europeans are not permitted to participate in contest-like events like "Paint a Lineage 2 Pumpkin for Halloween", which isn't actually applied either.

  5. Young man, you are jumping to conclusions. NCsoft never said that looped macros are an afk option. On the contrary. If you scroll up a bit in this thread you will see that the administration has been saying since March 2018, i.e. since more than a year, that looped macros are not an afk option.

Please wrap your head around that fact that this is NCsoft's game. It is not what you want it to be but what NCsoft says it is. Neutron, Conguero and countless GMs said repeatedly that farming players for drops from involuntary Karma is OK. If this makes you unhappy, just go away and play something else.

I really don't see why are you so mad. I  think the event is not bad. And TBH, I don't even understand what is your point at all ...

Hicc is talking about the birthday gift long-time veterans get being tied to the character and not to the player. If for example somebody played a Scavenger in 2004 but changed to a Doombringer as his new main character in 2008, when the Kamael came out, he can not claim the 15 year loyalty gift on his current main character, only the one for 11 years, even though the person behind the character has been a loyal customer for 15 years, paying a monthly subscription for 7 out of those 15 years.

  7. Yes. When you first log into the game, you get the normal screen; the resolution can be lowered to reduce the data usage of your telephone:

    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/예티(Yeti)#hd112780

In the lower right corner you get the normal User Interface, which leads you to your macros.

Then you can switch to the Yeti User Interface:

    15f09f69f7a4eeb384b2ef20.jpg

There is a keypad function (the keyboard icon in the white circle all the way on the right), which allows you to enter text and adjust your macros.

  8. Yesterday the so-called "Yeti Mode" was introduced in Korea, which allows you to play the game from a mobile telephone once you have started it on your PC:

    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/예티(Yeti)

For fat-fingered people there is a special Yet User Interface (which can be turned off):

Mouse- resp. mousewheel-clicks are replaced by gestures:

  9. It doesn't explicitly say so, but since in the patch notes it says that Beleth's Magic Circle will be a solo hunting ground /솔로잉 사냥터, I guess there might still be a party limit.

On the other hand, the "solo" could just mean that Herbs are dropping.

  10. When you copy the name of the Boss with Control+C and enter that in the search thingy in the upper right corner of the page, you arrive at the Bosses' original "home page", where the items are linked. Here for example Anakim:
    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/아나킴

The one-before-last of the full drops/완제품 is the Seven Signs Talisman/세븐사인의 탈리스만. If you are not sure about the Google translation, click on the brown link, and you will arrive there:
    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/세븐사인의+탈리스만

There you have the icon, by which you can verify that this is indeed a ready-made Seven Signs Talisman:

    37717.jpg

In this case there is even a screenshot of the Seed Talisman Manager's dialogue for further verification:

    3bcccd7b0fa8bd9adee13870.jpg

So yes, those Seven Signs Talismans will be fairly common, especially since it is droppped by Lilith too:
    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/릴리스

What Mr. Google called a "Release Talisman" is a Lilith Talisman (for Asians "r" and "l" sound the same):

    37714.jpg
    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/릴리스의+탈리스만

Baium and Orfen are indeed dropping Dark and Bloody Armor Stones, to be used both on R99 and R110 armors.

This is the Top Soul Stone dropped by Baium and Orfen:

    45932.jpg

It doesn't have any level restrictions. You can see the possible Augments here:
    http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/최상급+영혼의+돌

Baium's Ring and Orfen's Earring are indeed gone. There is no way to obtain these items any more. Both Bosses now can drop an Angel's Necklace and/or an Angel's Earring.

  11. 15 hours ago, Draecke said:

the lvl118 are dragons / new orfen baium and lilith/anakim ?

Exactly. The lvl 118 Boss after lvl 116 Rubrum is Antharas, then Valakas, Fafurion, Orfen, Baium, Lilith and Anakim.

By the way, on Sieghardt they killed Orfen and Baium yesterday evening Korea time with a Command Channel of 51 resp. 50 people. The only lvl 118 Boss not yet (or at least not recently) killed on that server is Fafurion:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/gameinfo/raid/index?searchType=1&serverId=53&beginLevel=118&endLevel=118

The Command Channel leader for all those lvl 118 Bosses was always the same lvl 110 Hierophant, leader of the Aden-Holding 기상/Rising-Clan:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/mypage/character/Mzk5Mzg2NTE=/charInfo?serverId=53
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/pledge/pledge/pledgeInfo?serverId=53&pledgeId=210680

    Looks like a somewhat one-sided server :)

here's a screenshot from Korea after they got the update

    40FgqiT.jpg

Now we see clearer. Here the 10 new Bosses:

[lvl 106] Avenger Aluthion (Ivory Tower Crater)
[lvl 106] Avenger Graf (Ivory Tower Crater)
[lvl 108] Demon Venoma (Tanor Canyon)
[lvl 108] Demon Sarvos (Tanor Canyon)
[lvl 108] Observer Tristan (Alligator Island)
[lvl 108] Observer Sethhet (Alligator Island)
[lvl 110] Berserker Jetal (Breka's Stronghold)
[lvl 110] Berserker Tabris (Breka's Stronghold)
[lvl 112] Fierce Ballack (Isle of Prayer)
[lvl 116] Superior Rubrum (Isle of Prayer)

  13. In point 7 of the Hunting Grounds/[사냥터] section it says indeed only that the old Bosses will be removed and replaced with 10 new ones. In the Powerbook Wikipedia Baium etc. have already been updated to 118:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/gameinfo/raid/index?searchType=1&serverId=53&beginLevel=118&endLevel=118

On that lvl 118 list the new Bosses are missing, but you also don't find them when you search for them by name, i.e. they have not yet been added to the database. We simply don't know what level they will be.

As far as the looting rights are concerned, it sounds indeed as if only the last hit gets the loot. The problem is that if there is a party or a command channel (파티 resp. 연합), that also applies. In other words, if anybody out of a command channel does the last hit, the looting rights go to the command channel. In theory a solo player could ninja the loot by trying to get a last hit in before the Boss dies. But with 20 other players attacking, the probability for that, esp. with a high-level Boss, is rather low.

To put it another way, the more members there are in a command channel attacking a Boss, the higher the probability that said command channel gets the loot. This sort of elminiates the advantage that extremely well equipped solo players have right now. Advantage is now given to big groups, even if they are not so well equipped :)

P.S.: what will happen if i have 1 subclass that i want to make Dual, but is not dual yet? Will be deleted also?

    Here are today's patch notes:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/update/view?articleId=638775

As far as I can tell, all Subclasses are deleted and you will have to pick up a new Subclass, level it to 80 and then make it a Dual Class. I guess that's the reason why NCKorea posted that advance warning one week ago.

By the way, there is no Beleth, just the monsters at the Magic Circle and the Quarry being upgraded to lvl 101~102.

  15. Joining up the story line to Lineage 1 could indeed be the long-term goal of the developers. Recently there has been a joint L1/L2 comic about the Tower of Insolence:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/cartoon/list?aliasName=arrogance

It didn't really work (in L1 Baium is called Eborutine), but since in L1 Beleth plays a key role in building the Tower of Insolence (while in L2 he is already incarcerated in the basement of the  Ivory Tower at the time of construction), maybe the new enemy is really Beleth. Or maybe the God of Death who does Shilen's job in L1 (where she is safely sealed up by the Seven Signs). Next week we will see.

In Lineage 1 the players, no matter which race, all start on Talking Island. Here is what it will look like as of next Wednesday, when Lineage Remaster will be launched:
    https://lineage.plaync.com/update/history/2019/190320_remaster?keywd=L1_remaster_1920x510_20190320&logger_kw=L1_remaster_1920x510_20190320&source=logger_kw&_C_=4516#/hunting

At the time of the Lindvior update the then Chief Developer said that the Starter Villages in Lineage 2 would be rebuilt, but that plan seems to have been abandoned. I can't help the impression that in the long run the developers will completely do away with pre lvl 85 content and fast-track everybody through the Balthus Knights instance to 85.

The Harnak Underground Ruins on Talking Island still seem to be an active lvl 85+ hunting ground.

As to what will happen with a Subclass you have not yet made a Dual Class, I simply don't know. Yesterday NCKorea just posted the short advance warning I linked above. I could imagine that that Subclass will also be deleted and that a Dual Class is acquired via a new quest. On Wednesday we will see :)

  16. There have not been any developer interviews/Letters to the Community since a long time, so I can only speculate.

My guess would be that they are trying to streamline things, freeing low level hunting grounds so that they can be upgraded to the 110+ range. And this goes not only for the old ones. Yesterday Fafurion's Temple was upgraded to lvl 119/120:
    http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/update/view?articleId=638702

And next Wednesday Hellbound will be changed too (my guess is that the "new enemy" who was announced with the "Prelude to War" update will be Beleth). The goal could be to dangle high-level stuff like R110 equipment in front of the players' noses so that they are motivated to spend money on boosts. To level a Subclass from 40 to 80 takes a few days at most; no money for NCsoft to be made. So that content must go.
