  1. In The "Prelude to War" update there are no changes to any Feoh skills apart from the party-wide Feoh Aura Toggle having become a personal passive skill, like the Dual Maximum HP Toggle (that goes for all classes): http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막+클래스
  2. In the "foreword" to the patch notes it says that "in the center of the slowly overturning battlefield new powers are stirring and all gathering in front of destabilized Aden": http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막 It doesn't say who or what those powers are, but I think if it were Epic Dragons, the developers would first introduce one (like for example the Dragon of Light), and then one or two years later the other. Taking into consideration that we just got Fafurion, those "new powers" might actually be player-run clans. When you look at the new Cursed Sword mechanics, we are clearly moving towards more PvP. Those Kill Points etc. seem to be inspired by the Bloody server.
  3. I personally find it quite impressive how the developers fail to learn from the GoD disaster. In GoD the old classes were streamlined and people didn't like it. Now they are streamlining the classes again. In GoD the Starter Villages lost their starter function and people didn't like it. Now everybody, including the Ertheias, gets born in Gludio: http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막+퀘스트
  4. It's true. In the meantime the detailed patch notes in the Powerwiki are up: http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막 Here is the "Skills" section: http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막+클래스 As you can see, after the 1st Class Change at lvl 20 for example Warriors get "Novice Armor Destruction" and "Novice Mega Strike", then after the 2nd Class Change at lvl 40 Gladiators get "Novice Sonic Flash" and, as Tyrr Warrior Archtype ""Novice Power Bomber" and so on. "Prelude to War" is the update with the most fundamental changes to game systems since GoD
  5. They are trying to put an incentive for PvP into the game. Like for example you can now get the Cursed Swords also when you kill some player character of lvl 95 or above (95레벨 이상 PC), and the additional reward - apart from the Treasure Chests near the Sea of Spores - you get for being the last owner also increases with the level of the buff stage, i.e. the more people you kill, the more adena you get. Even though you can't kill members of your own clan, the system is open to exploiting. Simply track down a dropped Cursed Sword, then kill members of a friendly clan non-stop and share the adena afterwards
  6. On Wednesday there was a new update in Korea - 전란의 서막 /"Prelude to War": http://lineage2.plaync.com/update/history/2018/181212_prologue/intro Here are the patch notes: http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/update/view?articleId=637479
  7. As Neutron stated above, because of the European General Data Protection Regulation administrators can not review tickets anymore. What you must do is contact Support from the email address you use to log into the afflicted account: support@lineage2.com Since those people are not very familiar with the game, you best link them this post: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/2384-all-chat-goes-to-general-chat/?tab=comments#comment-17822 Unless you have insulted somebody, i.e. were officially sanctioned, they will lift your chat ban on Monday, California time
  8. At lvl 119 the lvl 108 monsters in the Sea of Spores will be dark blue to you, i.e. you won't get any exp. But in the next update there will be lvl 114 and 115 monsters in Fafurion's Temple, which will be green to you, i.e. only a small exp penalty. What with those monsters giving about twice as much exp as the ones in the party area at the Sea of Spores, and occasionally killing a lvl 118 Epic Dragon in between, you should reach lvl 120 within a few years
  9. The tragic thing is, NCsoft has now 100 people working on Artificial Intelligence, but they do with it all sorts of things - like for example a real-time baseball information providing service - except fighting bots: http://www.koreaherald.com/view.php?ud=20180724000764
  10. 1) The first time this issue was reported was on May 12. In the second post in that thread another player says that he had (at that time) had that problem since 3 weeks, which would put the start to April 21 plus/minus 10% memory failure, i.e. the maintenance on April 18 or April 25: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/1623-chat-troubles/?tab=comments#comment-12525 2) The chat ban is character-specific, i.e. you can use trade shouts or world chat with other characters on the same account. In my case it happened to two characters on two different accounts, with one account having one (unaffected) other character and the other account having 6 (unaffected) other characters. 3) I have only one PC with Lineage 2 installed. 4) Once the problem starts, it doesn't go away and persists (in my case for several weeks) until Support manually lifts the chat ban, not like in the past when the chat ban ran out after a day or so. 5) Since I am aware that this is not a bug but malicious use of the /block function (which is why you can't reproduce the phenomenon on your test server) I didn't try to reinstall the game. 6) I use Windows 7 Ultimate. The easiest way to end the chat block war that DeathBleach describes in the 9th post of the thread I linked above would be to make it so that /block can only be used by characters of lvl 95 or above.
  11. That's the player formerly known as Gabe, a man who firmly believes in astroturfing As I told him on the old forum, making a demand again and again even though it has been explained repeatedly why you can't have it is a strategy that might work in kindergarten, but not in real life, for the simple reason that in real life there are objective reasons why you can't have what you want, and those reasons continue to exist, completely unimpressed by all shouting and screaming and stomping of feet. Neutron has clearly and in big bold letters stated that the mechanics behind the forced PK trick are not a bug and it would simply cost the company too much money to restore lost items or ban players who use that trick: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/1010-new-customizable-next-target-macro-functionality/?page=2&tab=comments#comment-7504 For those reluctant to click on links, let me quote Neutron here: it is not a bug As far as looped macros are concerned, they are perfectly safe for repetitive trade shouts in town, or even for automated Sonatas with a boxed Buffer. But if players insist on using them for afk hunting, they do that at their own risk; lost items will not be restored. You can read that as a system message in blue letters each time you log into the game. As Conguero put it: Using Hunting Macros While AFK (Don’t!)
  12. Here you go: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_sanctions_during_the_Ukrainian_crisis
  13. Exactly. Mindia, what you must understand is that this is NCsoft's game; they can set whatever rules they like. If Conguero wants to, he can force you to wear a pink bobble hat while posting. If you are unhappy with having your items looted while afk macroing, you must approach things from the outside. Check for example the list of blocked countries at NCWest: https://support.lineage2.com/hc/en-us/articles/217017506-Blocked-Countries Those Russians should not be able to create accounts with character names like "Canteraxxx". So what you do is, you report NCWest at the Orange County Sheriff's Department as embargo breakers aka traitors. Here is the telephone number: http://orangecountyda.org/howdoi/reportcrime.asp Of course, at the end of the day NCsoft didn't leak any military secrets to the FSB but simply made it possible for US currency to flow to Russia (your looted items get RMTed for US dollars). Therefore I don't think that the NCWest management will be put in front of a firing squad. But it should be possible to get the operations shut down and the servers wiped. Crime will have been punished, happiness all around
  14. I won't go into the details how this is possible, but Znipo has posted here how to prevent it: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/919-my-character-pked-while-am-afk-?-pls-help/?tab=comments#comment-6319
  15. Unfortunately I didn't see the Marco Polo series (Baljinnyamyn Amarsaikhan aka Ariq Böke is rather famous), but I had Classical Mongolian during my sinology studies. Even though that was mostly Buddhist texts, in the course of the classes you also learn a bit about the history and culture of the country. And I have been to Peking many times As far as the glory is concerned, I am afraid that there isn't much of that left. A problem closely associated with the scarcity of adena is that many items come onto the servers from the outside, namely the L2Store. When you look at the recruitment threads in the server section of this forum, you will see that the minimum requirements for equipment always include items that it is not possible to obtain by in-game means. Brooch Jewels, Abundance Talismans etc. come only from the L2Store, and no matter how many Zakens and Freyas you raid, there is no way whatsoever to get the adena for that kind of equipment by selling drops to Grocer Helvetia in Giran (the adena she gives you is pretty much the only one that's guaranteed to not have been botted). There is always real-money trading in one form or another involved, and where is the glory in being able to enter a credit card number?
  16. Actually there used to be pretty good content designers at the Lineage 2 Department in Seoul. Nam Taek-rim, the current Production Director aka "The Boss" was one of them. The second from the right is him in Chronicle 5: http://legacy.lineage2.com/background/dev_qa.html Of course the developers based the game world on the original Lineage comic by Shin Il-suk, with Elmore standing for North Korea and Aden for the South, with dress and building style also taken from the comic: https://namu.wiki/w/리니지 But the details are the work of the first-generation developers. You can't imagine the amount of effort that was spent on the early Chronicles. The huge library with books about history, art, ancient myths and whatnot in the NCsoft building already existed at their old Gangnam headquarter: http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1136&start=40#p23294 It's not that Director Nam and his colleagues couldn't design a captivating and well-balanced video game. The problem is that nowadays such video games generate much less revenue than shallow mobile games, so all the investment goes into mobile games. That's a long story which started several years ago with the death of the internet cafe culture in Asia ...
  17. NCsoft couldn't afford my salary
  18. If we are talking about views as in sea view, or as in letting your gaze wander over the dark dark Forest of the Dead, you are absolutely right. What I personally most like about Rune is the shop area with all the heroes sitting on the ground. This strongly reminds me of the Cattle Market/牛街 area in Peking, outside of the city walls, where the muslim mercenaries from Central Asia settled down after the Mongolian victory in 1279, while Kublai Khan and friends stayed in the inner city around the Imperial Palace ("Uptown Rune"): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yuan_dynasty#Founding_the_dynasty With "architecture in Aden" I really meant the French Renaissance style of the buildings. It strongly reminds me of the Hôtels (as in "city palace") in Nancy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_the_Dukes_of_Lorraine https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hôtel_de_Lillebonne https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hôtel_d'Haussonville
  19. No matter what the optimists around here might tell you, it is technically not possible for a new player to make the amount of adena that is necessary for playing at lvl 99 and beyond. End of story. But you can still log in for free and admire the architecture in Aden or listen to the background music in Hunters' Village
  20. That's the problem with competent people - they sooner or later get promoted out of a position where they do good practical work, to general regret and a loss for everybody. Something similar happened with Juji As far as the feedback is concerned, your assumption of the poll being bogus is correct. If the developers really wanted feedback about the Salvation update, they would have put up a poll here half a year ago: http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/forum/list The feedback from the Korean players, who got the update much earlier than us, would have enabled them to make adjustments for the export version before that ever went live in the overseas territories. But as you can see, there were no polls in Korea since 2014. So our poll here is obviously not more than a placebo, intended to appease the enraged masses by giving them the illusion that things will get better in the future.
  21. 1. Hime is female 2. While Conguero just has to divide his time between WildStar and Lineage 2, Hime is the Senior Community Manager at NCWest, so she has to take care of 5 game forums plus the associated social networks (Facebook, Reddit etc.). You should be deeply grateful for each single post she makes on this doomed forum of this doomed game while she could spend her time in a much more profitable way. 3. An even gear battle system aka Arena has made short appearance in Korea. You will find screenshots and videos here: http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=1639#p33308 The Arena received very positive feedback from the Korean players, but since uneven gear, obtainable from the L2Store, is the way NCsoft makes its money, the Arena was cancelled after three weeks.
  22. From the wording in his topic title and the fact that he asks for an English list even after you linked him said English list you can tell that Renaii is a new player who can neither afford the Soul Crystal(s) nor the Gemstone fee. Providing him with anything more than what I have bookmarked on my computer anyway would be a waste of time. In a few days the man will be gone @ Renaii: For certain reasons that have to do with NCWest's business model and the Neutron Theory of Acceptable Inflation (do a Google search) it is technically not possible for new players to play Lineage 2. Just do yourself a favor and uninstall the game. For everybody: This is also the reason why Naia and Freya will not be merged. When you go to the Fairy Settlement you will see that at peak times all Cocoons are cracked by bots as soon as they spawn. The adena production is running at full capacity, and all this adena winds up, via L2Store money laundering, as dollars in NCsoft's coffers. If two servers were merged, this would cut in half the amount of adena that can be generated and severely reduce NCsoft's revenue
  23. Here you go: http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/집혼#hd103227 Juji once put up a downloadable .pdf file with the precise percentages per Soul Crystal stage on the old forum; with a bit of googling and searching you might be able to find it
  24. Your 1 year estimate is probably not far from the truth. This has nothing to do with player numbers though, but with the situation in San Mateo: http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=407&start=2020#p37614
