  1. Huh? Am I missing something? Agree, it's pretty easy and relatively cheap to make a +5 Kaliel Bracelet. But after that, it gets pricey ... and in some respects, cost prohibitive. To make it a Greater Kaliel Bracelet, you'll need 12 Crystals of Dawn. That's about 24 Billion adena, based on current market prices for the Dawns. You're better off monitoring the market, because there are people selling the +5 Greater Kaliel's for around 30B all of the time. But continuing my math... To make it a Top Grade Kaliel, you'll need another 38 Dawn Crystals. That's 76 Billion adena, bringing the total price tag to a ridiculous price of about 100B for a Top Grade bracelet, if you decide to "craft" it. As above, you're better off hoping someone is selling a Top Grade at a reduced price, if you're really that determined to get it. As someone who once had a Top Grade Kaliel (I sold it years ago and have been using a +10 Lucien Bracelet ever since), unless you're an end-game player, don't bother with spending a 100B for a Top Grade Kaliel, or even 30B for a Greater Kaliel. That money is better spent elsewhere. I know RimKam sucks for support classes, but it's not uncommon for it to take multiple years for a player to complete the +10 Lucien. And, of course, usually in that time they find out that they really didn't need it all that much.
  2. If it's like the last time, the enchants aren't 100%. So you may not even get it to +10 before the event ends.
  3. You mean a way for only elite players to get a top item in the game? If they can remove them for a week or two, they can remove them for ever. It wouldn't hurt the majority of the player population at all.
  4. Thanks for the replies, everyone. He decided to quit and play another game after he realized that there was just too much ground to cover to catch up with everyone. It didn't help that he spent $20 on Nightmare Coins hoping to win something, only to get mostly potions and other crap that didn't really help his character kill anything or advance. This is like the third time this has happened to me over the years. I give up trying to bring friends to this game.
  5. I've said it a million times before...Red Libra should occur for two months during a major update and Stones of Destiny should be handed out freely. All in time for players to find out about stealth nerfs and general gameplay crappiness like melee attack speed issues and act accordingly.
  6. I noticed the nerf when I put an alt archer in Blazing to do the exalted quest and some hours later it had less quest items accumulated than the melee toon that I had in War Torn. That didn't use to be the case. Ever. Usually the archer would finish long before the melee. Good job screwing up a class that already takes tons of $$$$$ and equipment to properly build.
  7. If they really wanted to listen to their player base, they'd get rid of the Blood swords altogether.
  8. Not that I will be here for the next update. It's a simple suggestion that would have the greatest positive impact for every player. I don't understand why devs feel it necessary to restrict items and potions to an individual character, but it's a practice that needs to end. Very few people play the same character all of the time. That has been the case since the game was introduced. Why not work with players to ensure their overall satisfaction and improve gaming experience?
  9. Is this true? Taking my friend at his word, but maybe there's something else going on? I invited him to play the game thinking it would be a little easier (and more enjoyable) for him to level from 105 - 110 and try to catch up with the rest of us, but he's having trouble soloing with the Blessed Exalted after 106. Suggestions? (Other than telling him to reach for his Visa/Mastercard/Amex.)
  10. You're missing the point. Say you are level 82 and I reach into a bag full of S-Grade weapons and throw a handful of them on the table for you to pick one, is that any less random? No, of course not. You'd be happy with that. But if I first told you to give me money, only after which point do I reach into that same bag and pull out a bunch of No Grade armor parts, then told you to pay quite a bit more to win one of those useless items, would you be as thrilled about the proposition? No, of course you wouldn't. You'd look at me with scorn and curse me and the horse that I rode in on...and you'd be right for doing so. True enough, you don't have to ride every ride at the amusement park, but it sure would be nice to hop on one of the main rides and not be disappointed.
  11. Maybe Imprint items would be tolerable if there was some way to make them whole, tradeable, sellable items. But as it stands, the concept, not to mention the cost involved with random crafting, just turns me off in a major way. Hopefully, they rethink the concept...but I doubt it.
  12. Thanks. So I guess they're treating shooter weapons like bows. And I'm guessing that zero MP cost applies only to normal attacks, not skill attacks. Pretty ridiculous, if that's the case. You're basically just paying an arm and a leg for a tiny chance at a Fourth of July sparkler.
  13. I see it costs 30,000,0000 adena. What the hell does it do for that price??? Does it give a Mass AOE Mortal Strike/Half-Kill skill with 1 second reuse timer or something to your weapon?
  14. Yeah...like a blind person going to a strip club and throwing money at what you hope is a live person on stage.
  15. As my character approaches level 80, I notice that I still get lots of D and C grade Imprint weapons, armor and accessories as part of my random craft selection. Why? I also notice that I get lots of Imprint items that don't even pertain to my class. Again, why? And why does it cost me 300k to risk getting items that I don't need/can't use/can't sell???? Seriously, folks, let's reimagine that Random Craft feature so that it works better for players. Only items appropriate to the user's level and character class should be offered as Imprint. All other weapons, armors, accessories should be re-sellable and not just recyclable through Charging -- which, by the way, also should NOT cost a player anything to do. Lastly, 1 Craft Point should give us multiple rolls in the slot machine. Too often I get possible win items that I do not want and cannot use back to back to back. No one walks up to a slot machine and puts a coin in without first knowing what prizes are available. No one buys a lottery ticket without first knowing what cash awards are available. Hell, no one even walks into an arcade and puts a token in one of those big ass glass prize machines without first being able to see what prizes are available. Random crafting should be no different. If that means that it's harder for players to earn a Craft Point, so be it. But at least you'd make it worth the effort and players will actually get something that they can use.
  16. There is one thing else to consider. If you are hunting low level mobs, you are not earning as much adena or XP per hour as you would if you hunt mobs nearer to your level. At some point it becomes inefficient to do that, even without shots. And that's not even factoring real life consequence of paying the same high energy bill, but getting less real-time pleasure for it because farming at low levels isn't nearly as fun.
  17. What about keep the spirit ore cost the same, but increase the buff duration from 20 minutes to an hour?
  18. Does Aden get Red Libra ever? And will there be anything like class change, name change, gender change services offered in the store? Or is this game strictly vanilla in that respect?
  19. Curious, how effective can a character be that hasn't learned any of their 3rd class skills? At what level does it become too tedious to XP and impossible to PVP? I ask because I rolled a Storm Blaster and I'm now looking at a list of about 20 skills that require either spellbooks, masterbooks, millions in adena or some combination of millions in adena and a book. There's no way in hell that I'm going to get my hands on all of those books. Not unless you have an event where they drop from normal mobs, or reward the books and magical tablets as part of the regular daily quests. So now that I know that I came this far for nothing, someone let me know how good is your character without those skills? Edit: And now I'm hearing that only Sylph have to worry about getting those books. Most of the other older classes don't. Great.
  20. The Manners feature doesn't exactly function as it should anyway. I've been next to a player who has Manners On while I also have Manners On, yet we sometimes end up attacking the same mob even after one of us has already engaged the mob and established aggro. In fact, there have been times where I hit the mob first and get aggro, but the other player also hits the mob, so my character stops attacking that mob respecting the Manners On precondition, but the mob keeps attacking me anyway, likely because I dealt more damage with my initial attack than the other person. So now I have a mob that I'm no longer trying to kill attacking me, but I'm not hitting it back. Hopefully, the other guy kills the mob with his puny attacks before my HP goes to 0. I almost died that way after two more aggro mobs spawned on me while I'm still getting hit by a third mob that the other guy is taking forever to kill.
  21. Good question. I found him only once all week. After taking longer than it should to reduce his HP, he spawned a Sin Eater. No pet. I basically said to hell with it at this point. This is not C1, where I was willing to jump through a ridiculous amount of hoops to get a reward. No one has time for that any more. For now I'm just going to XP. If Antigo shows up when I happen to be watching the screen, fine. If not, fine. It probably saves me from spending money to maintain the pet anyway.
  22. Since I'm going to hunt all day anyway AFK, it's worth it for the buff. But yeah the prizes can always be better, without requiring players to spend their own adena.
  23. Unlike in the past on other versions of L2, I've decided to play just one character. I've chosen a DD because in all likelihood they are probably still the fastest to level up. So which DD does the most damage and kills the fastest, everything else being more or less equal?
  24. You get the Dragon Belt when you level up. But the problem is you only get one and if your fail your enchant, bye bye Dragon Belt. No blessed chance, no do over, thanks for your time and money, goodbye. And in case you're wondering, yes, the enchant rates are crappier on some things than on others. And luck varies from character to character.
