I bet it's because armors only have 3 glow appearances that don't coruscate like flames or change depending on enchant, shots, and type of La Vie En Rose jewels you have. Plus, the armor glow stays the same no matter what grade you use, but weapon glow doesn't. A +25 R, R95 and R110 will be that flaming purple glow. But if you use a modify skin from a weapon below R, it changes to the old crappy glow. They probably got lazy and didn't code the low grades properly -- or didn't want to invest $$$ in it at all -- and that's causing problems now when they are ready to move forward.

No. You can enchant the weapon as normal. Your chance of success is the same. I know a guy that used 14 straight Gran Kain Enchant Weapon scrolls and they all failed. But he eventually made it to +19 and +21 using Gold Coupon. Fails have nothing to do with your weapon being restored.

@Juji @Hime Color me curious. Is the real reason why no Red Libra and Weapon Modify scrolls were removed have to do with your ability to track restored weapons? Does applying weapon modification somehow "reset" the weapon? Same with Red Libra, does exchanging the weapon for a different one somehow reset the weapon's restoration history? Discuss.

They didn't remove the existing weapons that had modifications already applied, so something is weird about this. If it was as big a problem as they say... ...wait a minute. I know why! I don't know why it didn't occur to me before. I get it now.

No, this is a good thing. That way you don't have to compete for hunting spots with live players. You can horde all of the XP.

Well, yes, that was kind of my point. You have to start with some of the other aspects that makes DDs so lethal, like skill enchants that I mentioned, and the damage boosts to p.skill power, p.skill crit damage, etc., that you mention. Just adding p.def isn't enough. I'm not even sure adding p.def and resistances would be enough. If the goal is to make tanks, support and others durable enough to last longer against DDs, maybe. But if it's to give them a real chance of regularly winning against them, I think the game will just become broken in other ways and everyone will just roll whatever flotm class that has the advantage.

No problem, welcome to the game. And don't worry, this is Lineage 2, no one has good luck all of the time. Even the guys that you see claiming to have the best luck of anyone usually only succeed because they try hundreds and thousands of times more than other people. "Korean random" also plays a part. You can open 1 box and get the top prize, or open 2M boxes and not get better than the lowest prize. Part of the fun and frustration of the game.

Check the event page. They should be tradeable. And I wouldn't worry about having any left for them to disappear. People will buy them, or you can open them and maybe get lucky have win won of the prizes that are much more valuable than the box cost you.

Only do Stronghold if you need it. The suspicious box should be the better seller.

He means Birthday Vitality Potions. Every year on your character's creation date you receive a gift pack by in-game mail from NPC Alegria. The pack contains Party Cake, a birthday hat, and birthday vitality potions. The birthday potions restore your vitality as you hunt up to full vitality bar. If you're already have a full vitality bar, they act like Vitality Maintenance potions. Your vitality won't decrease no matter how many mobs you kill for as long as the birthday potion buff lasts. You get 3 birthday potions. In their initial form they last for 4 hours each, but you can exchange them for the equivalent number of 1 hour pots through the Dimensional Merchant. Keeping your vitality bar full is the best way to maximize XP/SP when you hunt, especially if you're trying to level up quickly. These pots really come in handy when the server settings are boosted with bonus Vitality %. .

Aren't there a bunch of lethal skills in game that ignore defense? I mean Yul's do insane amount of crit damage without also letting them enchant skills to +20 or whatever with Break, which ignores something like 30% of p.def. Maybe start by rethinking that sort of thing? Then maybe you can increase P.Def somehow in a way that helps all classes, not just one or two.

The Pathfinder NPC should sell badges that allow players to do the instance twice a day. The badges can cost adena, Nightmare fragments, or both. Extending the event alone still doesn't guarantee that most people will get bracelets. Nor should it. I didn't finish my first bracelet the first time around. The world didn't end.
