I think we're overcomplicating this. Should be a very quick and easy instance. 1. Before you enter, buff up. Get 5 minute ISS Domi and SWS/Spectral Dancer buffs. (I don't mention Prophet because we already get event buff.) For those of you who have enchanted your Eva Saint melee/range attack buff for +Might or +Magic, go ahead buff that, too. If you use Soup, sure, add that, too. You keep those when you're in Golem form and they do help damage stats. 2. Create a basic macro with the two golem skills and put it in your Auto Target box. Make sure you choose Short Distance Auto Target. Use this at beginning for the mobs only. Remember, those mobs actually restore your HP and MP when you kill them in Golem form. (I'm still trying to figure out how people die in this instance at that stage.) 3. Also put the 2 golem skills on your hot bar. Lurin always appears at the 3-minute mark. Make sure you're close to his spawn point to save time. When Lurin spawns, turn off your Auto Target macro, manually target Lurin and then right click on your hot bar golem skills. The important thing is to make sure that Lurin is the only mob you've targeted. Don't worry about the other mobs. Your sweep golem skill will AOE kill them and replenish your HP even as they are attacking you. If you have half decent equipment, you should easily kill Lurin in the three minutes. It goes without saying, you can build a single macro that does all of the above for the entire duration of the instance, if you know how to create them. Not giving away all of my secrets here. *** If you have really low gear and don't kill Lurin before your Golem transform expires, BSOE. Be happy for the boosted XP that you get from killing the other mobs, but you can't really finish the instance because Lurin will kill you easily in your normal form with one hit. You can debuff/slow him, you can try to kite him, but eventually he'll catch you and you're dead.

Don't know the answer here, but anecdotally, let me just say that I have better luck enchanting WITHOUT my +7 Maphr shirt. Yes, I know mathematically the small % uptick in successful enchant odds should favor the Maphr, but in my case it rarely did. I failed my last 8 wearing the Maphr shirt, decided to forego and just wear the Dragon Leather Shirt (with more LUC) on the last 12 enchants to get my weapon to +30 and it worked. "L2 random" in a nutshell.

I imagine the revenue loss of not selling Prestige Packs must be tremendous.

So far we've received +6 jewelry and +5 circlets. I wonder if free +5 masks, bound Rulers Belts, or complimentary Flaming Dragon agathions next? Or maybe we'll get 30-day talismans and runes now that Prestige Packs are no longer available?

Returning for a longer stay... Decided to stick around to try to get to 120. I'm only 108, so lots of work ahead. But which class is best at the upper levels? Feoh? Death Knight? Other??? Any 110+ care to chime in here? I'm leaning nuker, but with Red Libra other classes are an option. I want to XP fast and not die every time I log in. Thoughts? By the way, my gear is mid-level, I guess. I can get my hands on a DW stage 1 or a +21 R110 Limited with +10 R110 Enchanted set from my friend who is CL, but the rest of my items are average. Will upgrade over time.

I don't think you can change a Dominator to the "fighter skin" any longer. I think that was the hard rule they made when it became possible to change to Dom/Maestro/Evi during Red Libra. Every Dom going forward is now a mystic model skin. I'm not a fan of that limitation. To OP, I agree, there should be an exclusive class for every race and Kamael should have one, too. But that would require more re-coding and we already know NCSoft West isn't trying to incur unnecessary costs for this old game or give away too much for free. If they still sell Race Change tickets, you'll have to buy that. Or role a Kamael and class change it using Stone of Destiny. Just don't pick Dominator or Maestro, if you want to stay a Kamael.

Some of my clan members switched from mages to fighter classes and now want to switch back. Will Red Libra merchants with Stones of Destiny accompany the update?

I concur 100000000% This has to be one of the lamest updates in terms of assisting low level and new players that I've ever seen. Do Better GMs/NCSOFT!

Hmmm...I think we either got two coupons during the same event, or the event occurred twice -- because one of my alt characters has both the Event Blessed Valakas and the Event Rulers on it. And I thought I read somewhere that the Black Coupon event might happen again this year. My memory is fuzzy with old age. In any event, I hope that they do something like that for this year's anniversary. The divide between the haves and have-nots is really stark. Wouldn't hurt to throw the have-nots a bone or two.

This, in my opinion, is what spoiled many people who played ranged DD classes. There was a time when you could actually compete against someone with 2x-3x better gear than you as an archer, but those days are long gone.

I think they are referring to the Black Coupon event, which usually happens around update, but sometimes later in the year. With that you can either exchange for one of the boss jewels (Lindvior, Ruler Belt, Ruler Authority Ring (mage or fighter), Blessed Anthy, or Blessed Valakas) or try to recover an OE angel ring. The catch is that the BC event boss jewels can't be traded or augmented iirc. The other catch, of course, is that we never really know what NCSoft will give us until they announce it officially.

It does, indeed, suck that items that we likely used ncoins to buy in the first place (via some loot box opening promotion) can be tossed out without some form of remuneration or compensation. We are literally throwing money away at this game, which should give anyone pause to participate in any of these sales.

You mean something like a wealth penalty? Not sure the system is sophisticated enough to design something that doesn't hurt the little guy more than the guys with the deep pockets.

There was also that one time when the servers merged and all characters with duplicate names were given a generic placeholder name. First person to log in and grab the desired name got to keep the name. The rest remained under generic placeholder name, which they had to change to something else at log in. Even though much of the transfer process is manual, you'd think they would automate some aspects of it in a similar fashion.

I wonder how many divorces would there be if anniversary gifts disappeared into thin air like ours do. Would be nice if they gave us something useful for XP/gameplay that we could keep forever. 17 years is a long time.

What would really be great is if the Devs put Dragon and Demon weapons on the same obtainable footing as Krishna weapons. Simply put, drastically lower the amount of mats needed to craft and upgrade them. Borrow from history and take a Wild Wild West approach to it. Frequent PVP won't ever occur in this game until everyone has a gun and are within approximate same level range. Even PVE players would probably get off the fence and do more PVP if they knew they actually had a fair chance to beat someone.

I decided not to participate in these promotions whenever there is even a remote possibility of winning a completely useless item. 99% of the time that's what people are going to win -- useless items in bulk.

Exactly. There are some old Youtube videos of several archers soloing Helios. I recall one where a 110 archer with about 250K p.atk. with BR and max DEX did it. There probably have been way more boosts since then, thanks to new artifacts and agathions. I know a 109 archer who when fully buffed, plus BR, item boosts and pots can reach over 1 Million in p.atk for several seconds. Add to that all the ways an archer can further boost p. skill crit rate, p. skill power, and p. skill crit damage now. Then toss in Blessing of Elmore from PVE cloak, if it's triggered on top of all of that. No wonder Helios drops so quickly.

This part makes this the post of the week. People are too caught up with their own crazy ideas to realize that help comes in all forms. And the gall to need help, but then be dismissive of people that are trying to help you. He reminds me of an old clan leader that I once had. He thought he knew everything and wouldn't take truly great advice from people more experienced and who knew better. I ended up killing him and two of his loyal buddies right before our third raid before leaving the clan. I'm a nice guy, but I have zero tolerance for overbearing, close-minded idiots.
