  1. 0% would mean you get 0 xp per kill. 1 or 100% means you are getting full xp per kill. When you say 150% = 2.5x, you're literally saying what I'm saying. 150% would be a total of 2.5 times the normal xp, which is 1.
  2. I agree with you that the current server exp. settings are set to 1.5 now, which is equiv to 150% or a 50% base rate bonus. A "150% of base rate" as you pointed out would be a total of 2.5, the standard 100% plus 150% (or 1 + 1.5) to equal a total of 250% or 2.5 of the base rate. 100% is "normal" xp, anything above that is bonus on the base rate.
  3. 150% is 1.5x 100% = 1 50% = 0.5 1 + 0.5 = 1.5 or 150% So if you gained 10,000 xp from a mob with 150% boost it would be: 10,000 + (10,000 * 1.5) = 25,000 VIP4, boosts, etc are not multiplicative they are additive so say you have 50% rune, 15% talisman, VIP4 (25%), plus 150% event boost: 10,000 + (10,000 * 0.5) + (10,000 * 0.15) + (10,000 * 0.25) + (10,000 * 1.5) = 34,000 Now a mob giving 50,000 xp in your case would be giving at a minimum 50,000 * (50,000 * 1.5) = 125,000 like you said. I don't think the boost is even in, my dwarf was only getting 25% from his VIP4, unless its a base rate boost, aka all the monsters are giving more XP as a whole and not just a bonus. If that's the case he would need to set the server to 2.5 like you said versus 1.5, as 2.5 would give 150% versus 1.5 which would equate to 50% more then normal (1). It all depends is this a BASE rate boost? If so that's great but you have it set to 1.5 or 50% more then usual instead of the promised aforementioned 2.5 or 100% + 150% (bonus) = 250% total rate as promised.
  4. He spent all night with the Korean Dev's working on a solution, clearly one couldn't be implemented in time. Get some soulshots and take advantage of the 150% boost while you can.
  5. I think 150% xp boost is better then nothing and all were going to get, because they would have to re-script the NPC entirely to award the xp. It's MUCH easier for @Juji to simply enable the server settings versus having that new NPC generated, translated, and implemented. Similarly though, ALL TOP rewards from the Cake raid should be removed from all servers, unless there's a chance these boxes can contain them (and I doubt that very much). You removed Thursday and onward, please do the right thing and remove ALL of them.
  6. I'd definitely be curious to know what's in the 15th anniversary box. Are the grand prizes tucked in there at a limited rate? Or are they unobtainable now? If they're unobtainable, ALL of the awarded prizes should be removed from the very start of the event.
  7. Roger, You confirmed what were seeing, but isn't really a useful incentive at all. You get no drops with someone below 9 lvs so, there's no point in even having this unless you get full xp. The incentive would be trading the little bit of adena we get for XP on a box were leveling. Then again - Anything is better then nothing so thank you! Also thank you for responding.
  8. Tested this, 100% the penalty still exists its just not as "bad". I tested with a lv69 grouping with a 78. When the lv78 level'd to 79, the xp was cut dramatically. I also tested with some lv40s w/ a group of 69-78 .. they got 2-3k per kill, while the rest of the party got 140-150k per kill. So it technically exists, its sort of false advertising because without a doubt there is a penalty, its just that you're incredibly scaled instead of getting NO xp. Seems lame and a sort of mislabeling of what is actually there @Juji
  9. While a fun idea, this event literally causes the entire server to lag out / suffer. People participating can't join in or see what's going on, you can't even teleport around the world or talk to NPCs during the event. You should just talk to a cake and enter a "drawing" every day with a cake in every city, then have it award winners based on that + give them xp tokens. This is insanity and most of the people who even attempt to join it can't find the NPC afterwards due to lag / mass of bodies. @Juji @Hime
  10. Like, Do you guys equip top gear and even try some of these zones? You'll die ASAP. Your QA team should set their level to 80, throw on top S, +20 S-grade weapons, full epics jewels (mind you NO ONE on these servers have all that) and you still won't be able to kill in Varka, Ketra, or Imperial Tomb efficiently. Meanwhile a half naked lv76 pony will kill you in three crits while they ride away or kite you on their mount lol.
  11. Ponies are insane right now. I've submitted a few tickets in the form of a bug report, and others need to as well. I think much like how the Live server pvp settings got set on classic by mistake (aka PKs can teleport) so did Pony damage coefficients. With some epic jewels, a grade, blue wolf heavy as a 78 PR - a 76 summoner wearing moon armor and dual sls*sls 30days crit me for 3k twice and dropped me like a stone. Incredibly OP and broken, it needs to be resolved. Oh and nobody on the server can xp in Varkas, Ketra, or Imperial without kiting endlessly. What's the point of even HAVING these places available if you can't even use them. @Juji
  12. Funny thing is Aske is known for attacking anyone and everyone who is flagged. So he clearly takes advantage of game mechanics when its in his best interest ... but when the shoe is on the other foot...
  13. Remove it! OP and has never been in live version. Item/Adena tables and drop rates really need to be re-evaluated. My CP has been grinding all over the place and its rough out there ha-ha!
  14. Can confirm they did stack before patch and still stack now. Can also confirm that if this is the intended adena drop-rate, it was incredibly nerfed.
  15. It's a known bug, they're fixing it. They said its a known bug on forums. It says its known in-game. Do you read?
  16. The macro let's you watch a movie while your character grinds. When you're not macro, you can do fun things in game like pvp. Maybe macro xp means more pvp, means more fun now since people can make xp back easier. To make lv80+ you have to macro or you will never level and never see end game content.
  17. Let's see he's lv36... bow of peril, top b grade, quiver b... Maybe you rmting is worse then macro? Also you're complaining about lv36? Wait till you're 78+ and it takes over 6b xp to level ... cry baby you'll be praising macro when you finally reach high lv.
  18. @Juji Could you look into how hard these monsters are supposed to hit? I know that Varka got an update to 106 or something on live, maybe something got messed up? On classic these monsters hit for 4,000+ dmg, nuke for 5000+ dmg (this is with all refined jewelry etc) and are white to a lv78. Meanwhile I can kill some lv82 monsters np that give as much xp without the ever looming threat of a 1 shot. In fact Varka I promise you is 100% empty most likely classic server wide. They hit way too hard and don't give enough experience. The same goes for giant's cave, they hit for 2-3k and the only way you're killing these things is a top geared tank, roots, or an archer kite party. Seeing that is takes over 6b xp per level past 78, its insane to think we may be relegated to only a handful of places due to overwhelming monster difficulty. Thank you for your time.
  19. You have to realize that Juji and the other's can't actually modify the code that run's this game. They have to wait for the korean dev's to provide a fix, implement it, test it and verify it works. Furthermore all content has to be localized from Hangul into english/other languages before we get it. They're pretty decent about compensating players for loss of playtime/adena due to bugs, I'm certain we will see "something". You should rejoice at the capability to efficiently hunt for long periods of time. First off .. it takes over 6.6B experience to get from lv78 to 79. You will never see the high levels without some way of hunting for long periods. Furthermore, the more players are able to efficiently grind and make adena, the adena sellers lose business. Why pay for a botter to sell you adena when you can easily generate it yourself? Additionally, macro's are not fool-proof as someone mentioned where as 3rd party programs are scripts that automate all gameplay. If you macro with the incorrect setup, in the wrong place you'll end up dead or stuck on a wall 9/10 times. It's not as easy as right click and run all night. Oh and one last thing .. the auto-use supplies function is going to drive up sales of ncoin exp items big time I'm sure. If you're able to efficiently grind, long time, and use scrolls in conjunction with that grind - why wouldn't you? This will turn into a steady flow of small transactions that'll add up. They also added a purchasable fishing pole that gives 50% xp, reduced fish time, fishing amulet that gives xp, and high quality baits. You can essentially "bot" fish all night now also. I wouldn't be surprised we see a chef monkey or heine fishing event soon (I hope we get the chance to get a permanent pole!).
  20. Yes, you select either P. Critical Rate or P. Critical Damage. Choose the right one, 100% works everytime.
  21. On Giran, Hook up with RB clan, leech lv60-65 rbs. Once the pvp dies down maybe leech 70 and 75. Do that + the dailies in FoM, Seal, and SV - you'll be 76 very very quickly (like 3 weeks max). The real fun starts at lv78. It takes just over 6.6billion xp to get to 79. ENJOY!
  22. Boy this is too easy, You know I started replying to all your points, but they make no sense. You have zero data that contradicts my facts outside of your opinions based on some presumption that your experience on Giran permits you in depth knowledge - it doesn't Lol. My previous statements all hold true. If you correctly read my previous response you'd recognize that I stated adding a VIP requirement wouldn't solve the problem, but it would act as a deterrent to attempt to game the system on such a big scale. If people are going to cheat (and they will) at least recoup some money in the form of required VIP status. Maybe that extra revenue can go into funding better anti-botting measures, GM involvement, and overall better game support. You clearly can't see the forest for the tree's - Hilarious. Additionally, helpful positive feedback is 100% viewed by the staff here. During the last GM event I spoke with Juji one on one and he even passed a message along to a friend. The GM's do listen, they just don't have to implement every single idea nor answer every negative post. If you're against possible solutions, and provide none of you're own, you're just apart of the problem. Maybe you're one the very people attempting to game the system in some form hence your aversion to an easily implemented solution. The legit player base has VIP status and plays the game by the rules, I've yet to meet anyone around my level (78.77) who doesn't have at least VIP1. BTW you're welcome to look for the thread concerning the account creation/registration problem but it occurred sometime around the Ukrainian/Russian IP ban quite awhile ago. The entire point of it was to limit folks abusing VPNs botting etc. Clearly it didn't work as at first no one would create any accounts and were missing out on the reward packs. That change was either reverted or continually tweaked as I said. Reading comprehension is important, especially if your goal is to try and derail a thread that's giving substantial and positive feedback. Edit - Lololol, your post history is riddled with you trying to suggest ideas and having to argue with people who shoot them down. Funny you're doing the SAME thing here. Btw 0% exp loss in pvp is for pu$$ies. Grow a pair. And this thread is done! Just like the event! Hey maybe I'll run into you in PvP soon, you're definitely the top "tool" on Giran Buh byee p.s.   23. Ok so let's break this down so you can understand. The https://l2.laby.fr/status/ is a simple tool to provide some sort of insight into population swings on any server, its in no way 100% accurate but provides a better view then simple "low" "normal" "heavy". I've played on Giran extensively for months and the euro time zone begins simmering down after the RB respawn. The population continues to dwindle throughout the evening into the morning. Users log in again around 11 am - Noon. The population drops about one hour after RBs and spikes about 5-6 hours before then. During the event the spike goes from Normal (which is how the population settled for a month+) to Heavy between the three hours the main rewards are available. The "prime" time hour begins one hour before RBs respawn. Based on trends the population shouldn't remain heavy till 1am server time, but with the sheer amount of low level characters being logged on, it does. Prior to this event Giran never hit "heavy" for weeks. There is no doubt that players are manipulating the current reward system, anyone who denies it clearly hasn't level'd from 1-20 during the event, furthermore for fun I attempted to level a character to 20 using the current reward packs available (free). It took me under 1 hour. Recognizing that with the use of virtual machines and VPNs some users can log in dozens of characters; some most likely log in hundreds. I knew people on Zaken who automated account creation and had hundreds going at anytime, I was in clan with them, I know for a 100% fact its all available out there for the right price. Did you level up from 1-40 on Giran? Lol. There are hundreds and hundreds of automated bots running. Placing a VIP restriction would limit this abuse, free to play players can still participate, but VIP status limits those who clearly abuse the system. For example there is a guy on Giran who has won 8 items from raffles. You want to call that luck? Let's just say he's naturally trading those items... but not for adena *hint hint*. This is the kind of player who should be limited, or at least forced to pay his fair share. Now as for the "claim" to throttle account creation, almost every week maintenance goes into account creation. Furthermore they implemented a limit on accounts created per IP before the launch of classic servers like 1.5 years ago, and have tweaked it since. Users complained because naturally the requirements were too stringent and appreciation packs were available for free at the time, yadda yadda, people were trying to make dozens of spare accounts to claim items. Your welcome to dig through the maintenance logs to find the post, but it did happen. So let's recap..You believe that: If a extensive, transparent tool doesn't exist no other source of information can help lend credibility. You don't believe there are people logging in dozens or hundreds of accounts although botting is extensive and a rampant issue all over the place. Leveling to lv20 with free dual*SLS + runes + 100% boosts etc isn't possible in a VERY short amount of time. Account creation limits aren't in place - Although a major patch occurred on live servers prior to the creation of classic servers. VPNs or virtual machines don't work. Giran's population is always "heavy" from 12am - 2am server, even though prior to this event it didn't hit "heavy" for over a month. Based on all of this information it becomes clear that you don't know a lot. You're clearly confused and(or) naive to the situation and you definitely have nothing of value to add to the conversation. Why don't you stop diluting other users posts with negativity when what's being asked is clearly in the best interest for the average player who doesn't run more then 3-5 accounts at a time.
  24. On Giran a ton speak english. Euros and Latinos love L2, so its just sort of something you grow accustomed too as a primarily English speaking playing (aka NA). My CP and Clan are LU and RU, just something you get used to!
