  2. Damn man, you're right. While we getting all these items removed for QoL reasons, many recent QoL measures done in Korea aren't flowing to our servers yet. Yes, I can understand that Korea is under stress as well due corona and NCSoft HQ might have only a hand full of developers working to keep own servers running and Juji's playhouse is less of a concern for them. I've been saying it for months, Ranking System has to be disabled. Despawn mobs from unused zones (and there are many), remove unused items from the database (why remove Life Stones, but keep Ancient Adena and many C3-C5 items in client?). The QoL things they do aren't affecting the server stability at all. And yes, I agree with some people. The whole exp tunnelling from Altar of Evil to Bloody Swampland to Blazing Swamp to Hellbound is way to heavy and impossible for some classes. I've also been saying this for a long time. A secondary lv100-105 zone would spread the load. Blazing Swamp and Aden Town are basically same geo-data location, it's almost impossible to load anything in Aden these days. @Juji So... You confirm with this that the NA servers aren't on a virtual cluster and last new hardware wasn't just upscaling the virtual cluster to have more CPU and RAM to consume? Is every L2 server you run running on it's own dedicated hardware?
  3. Box limit reduced to under 3 will kill majority of clans, (constant) parties and general gameplay. Good luck finding a live Iss, Healer or Tank to exp on Hellbound, Enchanted, Tanor or do any daily instance with. Like always you're full of hot air escaping from your bum. When I enter Coal Mines with any chars lv100-104 and keep the Ranking window open and hit refresh every few minutes I see my rank going up every time I hit the refresh button. It does live tracking, all the time, every time.
  4. My members are high enough and smart enough to realize that Blazing Swamp is not the spot where you exp till 105. Only bots and mentee macro farmers for Atlas Earrings are in Blazing Swamp.
  5. In the past 7 days I've seen 20 clan members that left L2 since August 2019 come back to game. They all seen the auto hunt feature and like it, because it allows them to keep leveling while taking care of work, home and family life. Also the CoViD-19 brings back a lot of people. Yes, we have a population of 1200, 1200 * 3 is 3600. Which means just with normal population we hit the server number to go into Heavy Status. On top of that you have all the guys from MAX, Hybrid, DH, HoD and all their satalite clans running bot trains to farm adena, mentee marks and what not. Like they ever did. Even if everybody would log in 300 accounts themselfs, the situation doesn't change. The server still has to update every single exp gained for every character into the ranking system, dragging down the entire server. I remember Franz, Teon, Luna days. All these servers always on Normal-Heavy. Sometimes during siege weekends so full that you barely could move in town. But the lag was never as crazy as it is now, and server number limits were way higher back than. If you want to have 1 account per PC. Please leave NCWest/Naia/Chronos and go to 4Game and play on Core. Because so far, all you want is to see less players, and me as a player and clan leader, I want to see as many players as possible. Because more players, means more markets, more parties, more game. And keeping a server population low by design is basically killing a MMORPG.
  6. Exactly. Naia last night was on 3800 people shown in Party Matching. So let's say that is 10x more people online than on EU/Core. On L2 Essence servers on launch weekend the EU servers were having 2000 people online (equals to Naia/Chronos on 'Light') with ranking system enabled it didn't had a lag at all. But also no Live Tracking. Only an update once a day at 06:30 server time. Chronos, Naia and whatever our classic servers are called now are updating 24/7 the position and rank of every player on the server. @TheThrax You say it's a problem caused by people logging 3 chars. No it's not. If everybody would only be able to log 1 char and we would have had 4000 real players on each Naia and Chronos, the lag would be the same. And if that was real, @Juji and @Hime would have already announced they were opening a new Awakening server, because having both servers on Heavy 24/7 because to many players is bad for business. Even with the queue system enabled the server lags. It has nothing to do with how many connections there exist to the server. The lag comes from within the server. And for months now, I am saying it's the ranking system that is updating data live. While the mechanic only should check every day, once a day, at 06:30 if you ranked up or not, and if you ranked up/down in our out of Top 10 apply or remove the rank buff. Nothing more.
  7. @Juji Any word? Maybe turn this junk system off for two weeks and see if it helps. It seems your querry server is seriously overloaded with doing all the ranking calculations 24/7.
  8. Even if the chest is bugged. Swords are leveled in clan halls and castles on respawning alts anyway. bleep, on Naia Akamanah is always in Coal Mines and you know Nevit is is coming up when Zariche appears in FoG
  9. That been said on the community discord months ago. They had job listings up for a Database Engineer or something and the requested knowledge was for two architectures that were not compatible with each other. Also, running 6 servers (after mainteance 4) from the same (virtual) server isn't good. Especially not if the Ranking System checks every damn second if someone ranked up
  10. Yes. Because Naia, Chronos, Gludio, Aden, Talking Island and Giran are all run of the same login server, game server, item server, character server and npc server. So if one server has to be merged/changed all have to stay down for the whole duration. That's why Naia/Chronos lags so terrible, because to many servers dipping into same hardware. EU servers all have their own hardware/virtual instance for each server. L2Classic doesn't run on same server as Awakening (Core) and Essence also doesn't affect any of the others. But NCWest logic for running all on 2 different servers on same hardware with same login server.
  11. When Juji was on Naia last Thursday he said "server is hitting 3000 online" and server was on heavy at that moment.
  12. @Juji @Hime You are going to remove all the adena and other items gained by the exploit and ban the users? On NAIA they kill their alts in unreachable places (castle throne room, clan hall) and exp with the sword in Timed Zones with PvP disabled. They earning trillions of adena and exp using an exploit.
  13. That's how ReVenGe/GreenFire won their wars back in 2008. Just mass petition opposing clan leaders, clan leaders get banned and you recruit their members. It was common practice.
  14. It has nothing to do with kills. An MMORPG server should be able to be lag free if they server load is at 75% and 25% of the logged in characters are standing in town doing nothings. In the old days, Franz, Teon, Luna never lagged this hard when load were heavy. And back then the server didn't go to heavy until 6000 people were logged in, now server goes on heavy status at 2500.
  15. @Juji Why is the ranking system tracking live again? I have been checking it for a few days now. And today I had final proof. I logged in today, got my event buff and set up to do some exp. My Iss was on rank 580. Two hours later after breakfast, shower and doing stuff around the house I checked it again. My rank changed from 580 to 579. My race rank went from 58 to 57. All in the time span of two hours. This means the server is doing LIVE rank checking again, and not only checking once a day at 06:30 AM server time to see if your rank increased or decreased. Live rank checking is something not happening on the EU 4game servers (not on English or Russian, also not on Awakening, Classic or Essence). Live rank checking only is happening on Naia, Chronos and the dead Classic servers you trying to merge next week. Live rank checking been the issue last times when lags were unbearable. Melee classes only hit every third attack, ranged classes are either not casting or bursting with delays of 2-5 seconds in between. It's impossible for a healer to keep up. I have been saying it for months. I said it last time when server was in this pile of junk state and I will say it again LAG IS CAUSED BY THE RANKING SYSTEM and the Ranking System should be turned off! Stop claiming you added new hardware, turn off the ranking system and we'll be fine again.

And I guess Support Team gonna give the same generic b/s reply to any report of any one using an old my teleport location and/or hidden summoner to go into blocked areas to kill mobs that are still there, or hit mobs from a 100% save spot. *cough* all the wynns that didn't get banned for exploiting the hills in Atelia Fortress *cough*
  17. THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM PROMOTION! Circlets can be crafted for less than 200m adena, probably even under 100m adena if you have been exping since last patch on zones other than Timed Zones. Noble and Radiant Stones can be made using Circlet Enchants. Those can be farmed in Primeval Isle Timed Zone. Don't burn your $$$ on NCScam!

  19. If you have been exping on open field (not Coal Mines) since last update, you probably have farmed enough materials to do a bunch of crafts on the circlet. Which will make the circlet cost you maybe 200m or less. No need to buy the circlet for 80Ncoin. Scrolls easily are farmed on Primeval Isle. Stones can be made by exchanging scrolls to the NPC. @iAndouille I think NCSoft decided the players ask to little for the scrolls and want to do an artificial boost on the in-game pricing.
  20. Thinking of it, I am pretty damn sure the server still checks every hour to open Grand Delusional Chamber and Delusional Chamber still accessible.
  21. @Juji What about unspawning mobs in zones that are not relevant any more? Zones that come to mind: Windmill Hill Langk Lizardman Dwelling Forgotten Temple Garden of Eva Fortress of Resistance Cruma Marshland Cruma Tower Neutral Zone Elven Fortress Death Pass Gorgon Flower Garden Outlaw Forest War Torn Plains Plains of Glory Forest Of The Dead Beast Farm Valley of Saints Immortal Plateau Den Of Evil Crypt of Disgrace Varka Outpost Ketra Outpost Garden of Beasts Monastry of Silence Hot Springs Forge of the Gods Wall of Agros Imperial Tomb Forsaken Plains All these zones have mobs in it lv10-85 and are not used in any quest chain and have not been adjusted for higher levels or exp zones yet. Wouldn't disabling mob spawn on all these unused zones lower stress on server? Server won't have to check for any change, and I guess having monsters spawned causes some kind of load on the server as well. With the next update (wouldn't that come in April with the Anniversary?) you can 'turn on' the zones that are affected by new hunting zones (afaik Forge of the Gods is being revamped). Because it seems decreasing mob density by 30% in Coal Mines and Storm isle (making Storm isle completly useless) and decreasing spawn rate in Altar of Evil/Bloody Swampland doesn't do anything at all.
  22. There are no spawn issues in Aden, nor during siege, nor during Dimensional Siege. Only when porting to a spot like Phantasm Ridge or Abandon Coal Mines. Blazing Swamp while heavily populated by players doesn't have the issue as much or at all like Phanta has. It's also not just me noticing this issue, it's half of my clan complaining about it in clan chat.

  24. There are like 8 tanks live on Naia. If they good tanks, they have the shield already. Just farm materials and craft it. It's easy now.
  25. @Juji Since the higher mob density on zones like Blazing Swamp, Phantasm Ridge and the new added Abandon Coal Mines the game client just cannot keep up. You can teleport into the zone and think you found a spot without any other player, and minutes later suddenly you see people spawning around you. The game doesn't load other players in hunting zones until way after you started doing exp. Causing serious spot grief, people burning vitality and buff items for nothing and in the end you end up with getting less exp and less adena because you just cannot see if where you teleported to is actually free. Animations from other players also do not appear, and mob respawn rate is so high you can't use that as a reference for a spot being taken either. Can you fix this? It's causing way to many issues and setting up another nice hour of farm in e.g. Coal Mines after spending 70Ncoin for entrance token.
