  1. I agree with you... the biggest problem is the "toxic community" indeed:
  2. For over a decade, I've immersed myself in the world of Lineage2. This isn't merely a game for me, but a tapestry of memories, friendships, and pivotal life moments. It's where I met significant people in my life and honed my professional path. Yet, lately, the journey has been bittersweet. I've grappled with the toxicity of certain players who've crossed personal boundaries and the perceived apathy of the game's support team. It's disheartening when pleas for help are met with automated responses or sheer silence. My dedication has also been challenged by the game's economic intricacies. Reflect on the in-game market dynamics involving Ncoin and L-coins. When you invest $50, you receive 4,000 Ncoins, which translates into 16,000 L-coins. These aren't mere digital tokens; they symbolize real money, time, and effort. I fondly recall times, 15 years ago, when we paid less than half of this amount for a subscription, and only our time and dedication were the requisites for character progression. Nowadays, to stay competitive and aligned with the game's evolutions, there's a need for substantial financial investment. Beyond direct purchases, there are alternative avenues for acquiring L-coins, albeit they come with their own challenges. Players can dive into the player-to-player market, where the current rate stands at 170,000,000 Adena for 1,000 L-coins, as dictated by Blackbird's price today which puts a value in real money for Adena as well. Another option, laden with unpredictability, is to engage in crafting using the "Boss Expedition Mark". This crafting venture offers a paltry 1% chance of netting 8,000 L-coins. Sourcing this item is no small feat either. It's derived from formidable bosses like Queen Ant lv.80, Core lv.80, and Zaken lv.80, to name a few. Regrettably, these bosses are predominantly under the control of the game's elite, rendering the majority of us with meagre opportunities to amass L-coins. Take, for instance, the September Super Doll Promotion. To secure a single "doll" — an item they proudly showcase — one needs to spend 16k L-coins, amounting to $50. But to truly engage with this feature, aiming for a level 2 doll, a player often seeks out two dolls (totalling 32k L-coins or $100). And even then, success is not guaranteed. Upgrading to a level 2 doll comes with a mere 7% success chance. That's a significant sum for many in our community, especially for South American players. And what's even more distressing is that there have been occasions where we've spent up to 5 times this amount, only to secure items that drastically depreciate in value within less than a month. For the uninitiated, it might sound dramatic to agonize over "just a game". But for many of us, it's a chapter of our life story. Each setback doesn't just signify the loss of a virtual commodity, but a piece of our journey. I'm now at an emotional impasse. How do I reconcile my love for this game with its recent setbacks? How do I not let the bitter overshadow the sweet? And is it too much to wish for the game's developers to truly listen? This isn't just my solo. Many long-time players share this symphony of passion and frustration. Despite it all, my love for Lineage2 endures. I hope this message reverberates in the right corridors, reminding everyone that behind every avatar is a real person, with real emotions, seeking real solutions. All I yearn for is to cherish this digital realm that has indelibly marked my life's chronicle. I've outlined my concerns and shared the struggles many of us face as dedicated players of Lineage2. But it's not just about highlighting problems; it's about finding solutions and creating a better gaming experience for all. With that in mind, I'd like to put forward a few suggestions for your consideration: In-game Economic Review: Reflect on the current game's economic balance. Ensure that players feel they're gaining value for both their time and financial investments, without a perpetual need to spend. Enhanced Crafting Chances: Currently, the "loot" and crafting offer a minimal success rate. A slight increase in these odds could promote a more equitable gaming environment. Bonus Events: Launch events where players can achieve L-coins or other precious items through in-game tasks, minimizing the reliance on real-world currency. Transparent Feedback Loop: Engage the community with your planned changes and the rationale behind them. It promotes understanding and trust between the developers and players. Player Protection System: Incorporate a system where, after a specific expenditure, players are guaranteed a certain return value. This will prevent complete losses after substantial investments. Tightened Player-to-Player Economy Controls: Oversight and regulation can prevent inflation and price manipulation, preserving the game's economic balance. Boss Dynamics Reassessed: If a small group of players consistently dominates major bosses, introduce mechanics granting others a fair shot at participation and rewards. Improved Communication: Reinforce efficient communication channels between the support team and players. Personalized support, as opposed to automated responses, often goes a long way. Loyalty Recognition: Long-standing players deserve acknowledgment. Rewards, be it through bonuses, exclusive items, or special events, can be a way to show appreciation. Promotion Re-evaluation: Assess promotions like the Super Doll Promotion concerning player value. If many are investing heavily without fair returns, it may indicate necessary adjustments.
  3. @Wissp not even compensation for Guardian being offline for more than 6 hours? In the past at least you used to spawn an Angel Cat when a server crashed
  4. What is the purpose of an event that uses a loot box as material? Make you buy a more obvious loot box. At the very least, the possibility of exchanging Hero Circlet boxes in bundles again this week should be added to the dimension.
  5. Indeed I was, I totally forgot about Elcadia GMT +1 And indeed the changes they made on Maintenance Window and Global Events such as Olympiads Matches for sure is not fair to "Elcadians". They are changing a lot of things without notice. I've been posting and opening tickets always, but always a negative answer, they don't care about their base players like us, ppl who are expending money and time. https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/26950-recurring-unannounced-game-mechanic-changes-during-promotional-events-–-seeking-community-insight-and-resolution/ I'm very uncomfortable about those decisions, I wish to have a closer community manager like Juji was to make that bridge between us and they.
  6. Hello fellow Lineage II players, moderators and Community Manager I am facing an issue related to the recent "Circlet of Hero Bundle" event and am hoping for some community insight and resolution. I purchased numerous bundles during the event starting on May 30th, investing over $300 in total. However, a significant change was made to the event mechanics without any prior notice, which left me in a disadvantageous position and probably many others. Specifically, on June 6th, additional items were added to the special craft option which utilized the Circlet of Hero Bundle. This included the valuable and limited "Venir's Talisman", which I, like many other players, would have aimed to obtain had I known about this addition in advance, but they only posted about it this week (yesterday) : https://www.lineage2.com/en-us/news/hero-relic-power-defense. What's more concerning is that this isn't the first instance where this has happened. In January, during the "Guardian Cloak Promotion", a similar unannounced change to the event mechanics occurred. It seems that the pattern of introducing new items into the special craft pool after players have already committed resources is becoming a recurring issue. Upon reviewing the Lineage II User Agreement, I noticed that NCSOFT does retain a general right to make changes to their game. However, when changes are made without any advance notice during an ongoing event in which players have invested time and money, it seems to infringe upon the rights and expectations of players. Moreover, this could potentially be in violation of common consumer rights laws. Referring to NCSOFT's Terms of Use, specifically in section 4 "Rules of Conduct," NC commits to providing an enjoyable and fair environment for all players. The sudden change in-game mechanics, without prior communication, is against this commitment. It led me and potentially other players to make decisions based on incomplete and soon-to-be outdated information, which is unfair. I have contacted the NCSOFT Support Team regarding this issue through all four possible categories: 'Item Restoration', 'Billing Support', 'Gameplay Issues', and 'Account Services'. However, the responses have been largely automated and do not address the core of the problem. They have been unable to assist me due to the random nature of the Circlet of Hero Bundles and their stated policy on restoration. I am seeking advice from the community regarding this matter. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Any suggestions on how to proceed? I believe this is a matter of consumer rights and fair play, and I hope that NCSOFT will address this in a manner that respects the investments players make in their game. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond. Kind Regards, Outlander
  7. The skill doesn't deal the damage described (150% damage proportional to p. atk) and if you are using it on a map like TOI or Elmore Tower you can be teleported to upper or down. Take a look: https://youtu.be/o8dST7QFfAw I don't know if this is possible, but here's some feedback for whoever developed this skill, its usability is terrible, this "point" click plus this "locked" while teleporting is terrible, it could just be a forward dash that causes damage in the area how is the assassin's skill forward move lvl2. In the same mob, I can deal 50k damage with a 7k power skill I deal less than 10k.
  8. The NA servers are GMT -5, and you're 7 hours ahead, sorry for that, it's a shame that the European distributer doesn't have the same server quality that makes ppl from another continent play here, also, there is the factor of friendship for sure but Europeans based players must take that in consideration. I know ppl from Europe that work in not business standard hours and take advantage of this to play in the NA timezone and enjoy the prime time. Despite lineage2 being a game, it is also a product and a service for North American audiences, they will not make changes based on the European community, it would be a conflict of interest with the licensed Russian company that owns the right to European lineage2's distribution.
  9. You can open up to 10 Aden windows. But watch out, the Live and Classisc windows also count for it.
  10. Dear Wissp, I hope this message finds you well. Firstly, I want to extend my congratulations on your new role as Community Manager for Lineage II Aden. I appreciate your open communication about the changes happening at NCSOFT West, and I'm looking forward to seeing the fruits of these efforts to enhance our gaming experience. I am writing to share some personal concerns that I believe reflect broader sentiments within our community. These concerns revolve around recent critical errors and memory leaks in the game, reported several times through tickets and forum topics. I, like many others, have found these issues to negatively impact our enjoyment of Lineage II. I trust that these are issues you are aware of and that efforts are underway to resolve them. In addition, news of recent layoffs at NCSoft and changes to the company structure, including moving the HQ to a coworking space, has left many of us anxious about the future of Lineage II. We hope that the game will continue to receive the resources necessary for its ongoing development, maintenance, and player support. Finally, I would like to mention the lack of responses on several forum topics: Where is the 5th Premier Coin? (Blackbird/Elcadia) Concerns about RNG mechanics in Lineage II Sayha's Grace Consumption for Small Party (2-3 players) While we understand not every post can receive individual responses, acknowledging these concerns would be deeply appreciated and reassure us that our voices are being heard. Despite these challenges, I remain optimistic about the future of Lineage II under your leadership. We, the community, are eager to collaborate with you and the rest of the team to ensure the game remains enjoyable and continues to thrive. Your commitment to increased communication and community engagement is heartening, and I believe it will be key to restoring faith in our community. Thank you for your time, and I'm looking forward to our shared journey in making Lineage II an even more remarkable game. Best Regards, PS: Please review my request to remove the restriction given to me 5 years ago that didn't allow me to create posts that not in general discussion at Aden forum.
  11. No problem! Please keep improving the communications and maintaining our game Best
  12. Its the "bubble" reaching its limit, ppl need to lower their prices in order to sell things.
  13. Probably not, Blackbird and Elcadia are near 3 yo servers, and they have items and an incredible amount of l-coin and Adena stocked, it could break the fragile Guardian economy. Also, they have abundance of items like Baium Talisman, Dolls 3 , Ice Weapon +5 + Boss Weapons +7 +, Protection Armors, etc. If it happens probably will be in 2 years or more. I think it's too late for that, they should launch at least two PVE servers, so ppl would not be so focused on internal PvP (server against the server). To give you some context, the actual essence design is based on Korean servers, there exist 15 essence servers (not sure how many boxes they could open) but all pvp happens on world instance zones, and only lowbies pvp happens inside the server because ppl need to keep farming going on inside their servers to become stronger than other servers. They are already nerfed, but with 3-star box given for free, it doesn't make much difference. L-coin is only possible to be "dropped" from epic bosses and your wallet. To make l-coin from epic bosses you will need to acquire the boss expedition mark, which is rewarded to ppl who land the last hit on it and gives you 1% chance to craft 8 l-coin. They probably will merge this update as they did with the Assassin update here (immortal weapon + Assassin) https://lineage2.plaync.com/history/index We probably will receive Shine Maker (live) + DEATHKNIGHT II (https://lineage2.plaync.com/update/history/2023/230412_update) but this healer update is on dev "sneak peaks" that is a preview from upcoming updates.
  14. Probably not a joke, many newbies players thinks that "Someone" is really a nickname
  15. @Hermes we have only one week until the event ends, please pay attention on it.
  16. @Maphrs the Aden community is not much active, the gms don't care about the essence version or gameplay =(
  17. Agreed that 7000 is not a large sample size for a 0.03% chance. However, the probability of failing 7000 times in a row with a 0.03% chance is incredibly low. And given that I have seen many players, including myself, experiencing a much lower success rate than what is stated in the game, it seems likely that something is off. Of course, we cannot obtain a valid sample size inside the game, but a GM could provide more data. Thanks for your input though, always good to have different perspectives.
  18. Hey ConorMcGregor, I get where you're coming from, but I don't think a sample size of 7000 attempts is small. It's not like I just tried it a few times and came to a conclusion. I've invested a lot of time and resources into this and it's not just me who's been experiencing these issues. Besides, it's not like I have access to a bigger sample size. Only the GMs have access to that kind of resource to test it, and they're not exactly forthcoming with it. But hey, I'm open to any suggestions on how to gather more data on this. Do you have any ideas? Cheers
  19. Dear Lineage II community and developers, I am writing to share my concerns regarding the Random Number Generation (RNG) mechanics in the game, specifically in regard to the crafting system. As a dedicated player, I have invested a significant amount of time and resources into crafting items, only to experience numerous failures despite the success rate displayed in the game. I would like to share with you some calculations I made regarding the success rate of enchanting items, specifically the Rabbit Doll 13 to 14. The game interface states a success rate of 0.03%, which implies that on average, a player would need approximately 3333 attempts to successfully enchant the item. Based on my calculations, the probability of success for each individual attempt with a 0.03% chance is: 0.03 / 100 = 0.0003 The probability of not succeeding after 7,000 independent attempts are: (1 - 0.0003)^7000 = 0.198 or 19.8% While it's possible that I just had a streak of bad luck, it's also possible that there's an issue with the game's mechanics or system that's preventing me from succeeding. I've submitted a support ticket to request a detailed verification of the chance of success and to check for any errors or issues that could be causing latency and unresponsiveness affecting the RNG. To put it into perspective, the probability of failing to enchant a B-grade weapon from +4 to +5 with a 70% success rate is only 34.3%, while the probability of failing to enchant the Rabbit Doll 13 to 14 after 7000 attempts is much lower. This leads me to suspect that the actual success rate for the Rabbit Doll 13 to 14 may be significantly lower than what is stated in the game interface. I understand that RNG governs the game mechanics, but I believe the current system may not function as intended. I have conducted extensive calculations and simulations, which suggest that the actual success rate may be significantly lower than the rate displayed in the game. I am not alone in experiencing these issues, as many players have reported similar experiences with the crafting system. Investing so much time and resources is frustrating, only to be met with failure repeatedly. I respectfully request that the development team investigates the RNG mechanics in the crafting system to ensure that it is functioning as intended. Additionally, I would appreciate more transparency and accuracy in the success rate displayed in the game. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from the development team on this matter. Sincerely
  20. My friend tried a lot to acquire it in all ways, and they still denied it. Don't waste your time =/
  21. It will only sustain mp with evas talis +5 and Saint Recovery skill (2-stars), but you may not sustain if your damage is low.
  22. They usually not reply at "personal subject" topics, I recommend using the ticket support to make personal requests and using the forum to chat more widely about the gameplay and community. But I agree with some of your points, today I lost one of my companions because they denied transferring the last black cupom from BB to Guardian because it was taken on Blackbird before Guardian and they share the account limitations, and there are no warnings about that anywhere. For example, special craft and shop as account limitations items but they don't share the limit between servers. A friend shared with me the last messages of her ticket: Their last reply: As a result she quit the game and returned to another game because it's a simple task, a simple request to fix an issue that the NCwest team caused without any reparation. It sadly but the service quality of NCWest have been dropping and dropping in the last years.
