When you are giving it the nectar you must ALL speak the following words: "Khandar estrada khandos thrus indactu nosfrandus khandar dematos khandar" once per each nectar. To say it you have to use a very low voice at first and then raise the volume per each nectar until nectar 5 which you must say at the top of your lungs. Then when you hit it to break you must all say: "Klaatu Barada Nikto", it is very important that you repeat this last phrase at least 3 times before it breaks, if not you will get 1x mochi.

I don't think this is the case. I will give example with boxes type rewards.

Edit: ignore the text in Italic.

On some events -yes the boxes you buy are already known what they have inside. You can easy check this with the time you 're waiting until the item pops from the box. If it's immediately- it is predefined from the moment it appears in your bag.

But on some events you get the box and when you try to open it there is a delay because your reward is generated with some ncsoft randomiser  server-side. A way you can easy detect this is when you put the boxes on your skill slot and hold your finger on the button to open them all.

So it's not always predefined. Especially because you need to do some extra actions in order to grow King type or super-duper type squash. Doing this you send enough requests to the server and eventually you'll receive as response the type of the squash and maybe then the item inside is already known. So SasyPisos is partly right ;)

Its always random, any delay is caused by your connection to servers.

So instantly appearing item is cause of low delay..

Think about it, the way you put it would require "complex" setup for no reason whatsoever, making each box with XX.XXXX% chance per item requires no effort & will be same result

You are actually correct - for the random part and the lag. It is always random. And it's always generated when you send request to the server for action open item + item_id + maybe some other field in order to track how this item is opened(to track if use bot, macro etc) .

So this eliminates the possibility to receive item from NPC which is wrapped in a box and it is already known what is inside the box before you attempt to open the box. Same with the seeds you receive from the NPC.

This is my conclusion and every Dev can agree because there is no many possibilities to implement this in a different way. And if you wander then how it's possible so many people to open boxes in the same time and all this is happening and generated server side from the moment they do action open, how the server can handle so many requests etc. Yes it's absolutely possible:) They have pretty powerful servers and VMs to handle all this traffic.

I don't want to argue of course all can have their own opinion and the truth is somewhere there.. :) Who cares :D People do all kind of stuff when play on event in order to get something  nice from it. So why not:) Korean random is a mistery.

But I know one thing for fact- they f. up the good item rewards chance ( for items price greater than 20kk) big time! People are temting to play the event when they see the rewards tables but never in l2 history the chance was so close to zero ... I guess this is the future for the free events.

Hello,

To not look more ridiculous me and you as well ! we need official answer to how this works since,

@Neutron has stated partially the functionality of the process (rng) , although I do agree they have a kind of mechanism to help newbie but don't imagine something

really really big and not from events tho. I dare add that, that mechanism you are telling, works on bosses instanced or no {>> data sent server  1* => sever generates result 2* >>}

thus if u enter balok or any >> lvls + killing time 1* =>> drops 2*, that's why kartia or any instance npc has a party limit to enter! So when you claim rng boxes from l2 store or oriana or whatever that is , the server has already generated the result I might be wrong but the NPC IS THE COMMUNICATING NODE FROM YOU AND SERVER !

Also on enchanting, alchemy or whatever individual rng related there is a string of 1 or 0, 1 success 0 fail this can be modified by GM*** on your toon but they need to logg in xD!!

In the end gamble is gamble and to beat gamble you need infinite bulkish capital ! we hate it we do it gambling platform can cause pathological illness and addiction!

And if you think a bit gambling platform is everywhere  @lineage 2 since day one of its launch!

cheers

You are correct but you can't compare this event or opening boxes with what you are saying here. The way I see it - opening boxes and breaking squashes or any other related to that thing is a simple post(or get) request to the server with parameters in general the id of the item and the action type. When Request is received you have a handler for the type of action you want to perform. For example- OpenHandler if your action is open box bla bla. This is happening in transaction maybe, the server knows the client Id and maybe has some cashed data for it, the handler has some reference to the mysterious ncsoft Randomizer who for sure depends on who the current client is and have some cashed lookup table with the possible rewards. In simple words- the magic is happening there;)  The things are as simple as  possible and generic. Every object in l2 has ID. You know when sometimes some objects in l2 are not fully loaded and you see as title item_125 as npc title for example ;)

Anyway.

I don't think that ncsoft wants to explain us how the game is written 14 years ago and how works. And don't forget there was a time when the code of the game was leaked out.. long time ago. But the top secret for the Korean random is still top secret and it is not known. ;)
