FoxFire
Are we able to know the odds on each thing from the Blizzard Chill Box? Certain countries make disclosing odds of loot boxes mandatory by law and it would just be really nice to actually know the odds so it would help keep the guv'ment out NC's business and it'd help out those players who may actually want to get a few of the boxes. In the US (where NCWest is based), this is not mandatory. So you can't have the odds.

shawnydep
Funny, it's law where the game company is located, but they remove it for US. Interesting how they make the content where you can obtain these items un-playable, forcing you to pay for the chance to gamble for it.
vis
Can someone explain me why the dragon pendant event removed 3 hours before the maintenance? I got 4k ncoin to buy some last dragon pendant items and when i check the event tab on ingame store everything was missing. wasn't supposed to be removed with the maintenance?did they gave us specific time of the event end? Should i ask for a refund now?

It will probably take years and countless disputes until something comes to actually be enforced. 10 minutes ago, vis said: Can someone explain me why the dragon pendant event removed 3 hours before the maintenance? Should i ask for a refund now? It's not their fault that you decided to do a last minute purchase. The store is often changed prior the maintenance (mainly when removing stuff). If you ask for refund, it will be granted probably, but you'll be perma banned too. Try your luck and share your experience with the others. EA is based in the US but they operate in other regions where it is required so they are forced to disclose the odds. NCsoft also operates and has Lineage 2 servers in other regions where it is now required. Your argument is invalid, brotato.
DeepSheep
Yeah... I don't think NCwest is ever gonna give out odds/chances on loot boxes and other gambling-like elements like enchanting Heck, they don't even bother to fix "item may break in case of failure" prompts in time on some items that cost real money (i.e pendants), and other misleading descriptions in that regard, for example: Quote Balthus Knights' Varnish Enhances characteristics of damaged rare accessories. The maximum level of enchantment is +10, from +3 level chance of enchantig is 100%. Depending on the item type, activates special options from level +4 and higher. Hell no it's not 100% Broke like 5 damaged Baium's rings on over +4. I'm still amazed on how the laws allow this kind of gambling where you have no clue what-so-ever on the odds... In casinos you at least can count the odds on certain games by yourself even BEFORE trying. I guess they loop hole with the fact that there's 100% chance to get something from the boxes... Nope...anyone from the EU or any other region is more than capable of logging in to Talking Island server or whatever and the same launcher can take us to the EU server where the laws state that the odds must be disclosed. Also, NCwest is a subsidiary of NCsoft so they're still the same company. Argument doubly invalidated...but wait...that's a double negative so does that prove your argument or...? You, clearly, don't know the extreme lengths the laws are going to to protect muh kiddoos. If the game is available at all in one of those countries, which it most definitely is since NC doesn't block/ban IP etc. from those places, then they are considered to fall under those laws and odds MUST be disclosed or NC could be fined or have criminal charges brought against them. Before you, inevitably, mention a VPN, the laws already state that if extraordinary measures are taken, such as a VPN, then the company wouldn't be held to the laws or liable for damages/penalties. Also, since you seem to be unclear on economics, as well as international law, here's this guy for you: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=subsidiary

No need for insults, brotato...I didn't sling any at you so not sure why you're so hurt by this exchange between us. Maybe NC doesn't know about the laws? I'm not an employee of NC so how could I possibly know? According to my logic...they should...hence why I asked for them to post them. For one, because I'm curious, and B: because I care about NC and don't want them to land in any trouble.
