Terrible event

This absolutely outrageous situation with this game. I spent $1500 and could not make my pendant lvl 3 +5? It is even hard to make lvl 3  +3

I used my old pendant to convert to lvl 3 and spent so much money for nothing $1500 trying to make it lvl 3 +5 ?

Dear Dev Team & Juji. Port is absolutely correct on this matter of the 0.0001% rates going on with this Dragon Pendant Event. Most people I know spent over $1000 USD and still failed. The average person in the game do not have $500+ USD to gamble. On the side note both Servers still waiting for Dimensional Sieges and better content to keep the last players motivated and increase their enthusiasm for the game. Thank You very much.

There was actually some momentum on the LIVE server forums about getting actual success rates listed for p2w items and perhaps other things.

Eventually, this company (before they cave in to that pressure and list rates) will probably have one last p2w event that breaks records for it's expense and low success rates.

Could this be that event?

i wasted 500 and i didnt get a +1:)))) so yes. they need to post rates. ill chek if i can/and how can i complain to uk gaming and betting regulators.

I can understand your frustration, for the future may i suggest he following:

1) Never buy stuff the first week, wait and see from others the success rates.

2) If you are willing to spend 1500 then its much better to convert that cash into adena and purchase the item directly without risking. You could easily make that 1500 into billions of adena by selling pendant boxes then just buy the damn thing.

3) Gambling is gambling, be prepared to lose big or dont play.

This is so true, event is trash. I spend $750 from converting +10 Level 3 Water pendant to Magic pendant and I ended up having +4 Level 3 Magic pendant, mind you I was using the Brilliant Varnish.

Well, if you refer to the US congress bill article S.1629, NCwest is pretty much in compliance. But it would be fair to our playas if we can get the rates of each event. A game is a game, you shouldn't need to throw thousands of dollars into it, it becomes a disease not entertainment anymore.

is time to get the game back again. 
the gambling events are killing the game, please STOP IT. is time to think about everyone in our community, this gambling events makes no sense, WE KNOW ncsoft needs to make money, that’s fine. Find a way to make some events when we can buy some special items like White Guardian-Special Dyes-Transformations, whatever WITHOUT GAMBLING. 
Also you guys need to improve the farming zones-drops. When the people reach lvl 80 has no options to go farming, with the Lair of Antharas and TOI mobs only who has many epic jewels and +++gear can go there. No all of the player have that stuff, some people need some zones to go farming, get some xp and HAVE FUN, that’s all about this game FUN and you are killing it. 
zones like Imperial tomp mobs are so hard to kill and XP is not worth for it, drops either. (Useless nobody there)
varkas silenos-Ketra mobs are good but xp and drop is not good either. (Useless nobody there)
guys this is your work, it looks like you are not doing anything to get it better. 
remember it’s a game and the goals have to be entertaining the people. U guys totally forgot about that.

lolololol @Pandalicious the average person in the game dont spend more than $100 USD at month, lol with $500 dollars at month i could be vip 10 and top Char with top top full items. 5% of the server spend $100+ dollars in this game, and like less of 1% spend $500+ is the reality of this game, that is the reason why a only 1 top char can kill a complete ally of 20-30+ chars with two hits.

Why people get upset with % of p2w items, all knows that NCSOFT West is more expensive than other regions and they only want money and more money before fixes and great updates in the server for the casual players. Now the solution is easy, if u want to change that just dont buy, l2 classic have 6 months of continue p2w items without break, the reality of the classic in this moment is people quiting and quitting in both servers because all are tired of full p2w items that only do that the top whale player makes him more and more inmortal.

I completely support @Port. Success rates are so ridiculous.

I think NC is trying to figure out where is the line - with each event it decreases and decreases chances trying to figure out when people will stop spending. This game became just online casino, NC does not care about content, does not care about customers satisfaction. Just $$$.

My proposal:
1. Publish chances (in %) for each of p2w boxes and respective enchant/combine rates. Not "very low/low/average/high/very high" BS we see. In EU it is mandatory to specify probabilities, unfortunately there is no such law in US. I'm more than sure that probabilities are actually _lowered_ compared to "stock" event settings from Korea. I've spent $1250 to get to +5 lvl 3, this is sick.
2. Reduce prices to reasonable levels. $200 to exchange +5 lvl 3 to lvl 4 - are you serious? Each attempt to enchant with brilliant - $20 ? NC, @Juji, @Hime you are crossing the line guys. This is NOT an online casino and not your _personal_ casino. It is MMORPG with _elements_ of online casino (which we accept and understand when they are reasonable). Greed never made anyone successful. 
3. Refund at least 50% of money customers (yes, NC, we are your customers!) spent this "event".

I think this is the case too, i've been seeing an increase in OP P2W items and a decrease in chances to obtain them. This yells bait all over it.

For the past events i am taking a completely different approach and ive stopped spending on random casino chances. I just buy stuff from the shop the first days and resell to make a few billions, then the second week i buy directly the item i want.

For example i got a Magic lvl3 +5 for approx 600$ with zero gambling. Of course i could hit the jackpot and get that item for much less but i dont believe in luck and certainly lighning almost never strikes twice.

The problem with an approach like this is that im pretty sure almost everyone that spent money on this event will follow my method when the next event pops meaning that NC Soft wont be making much money in the next events. Stuff like this can only work once, people become extremely cautious the next time.

You complain about a problem you're creating.

That pendant should be maxed with 30 dollars max to be fair and square and possibly revive a semi dead game.

But L2 caters to whales and not to the normal public.

agree, dont demand to ncosft for better % because that want to get more money with more chance of fails, in two years of server and after a post of "quality of life changes" of hundreds of post and nothing change and nothing fixed since day 1 of server, u can saw that they dont want to change anything to improved the quality of game, just want to catch more whales in every event every 15 days....

 

why they changed the politics of restorations ???? easy... they was losing money.

how do u know that less than 1% of server spend more than 1k dollars at month or in events??? easy, see in TI or Giran how only 1 char can kill more than 50 chars in pvp at the same time.
