PlaceholderName
Hello world, When leveling I did not invest in the Weapon Mastery line for mage because it was for Bows and Spears and I saw that the Aden weapon scalled to 75+ content so getting a bow would be pointless. Later I checked the passive and noticed that the M. Attack it gave was massive (allegedly). Here's an image of it giving +470 m. attack https://i.gyazo.com/3a0e04ef397420f9821e86790d76e2d2.png Here's my +10 Blunt of Aden for comparison https://i.gyazo.com/85e01b02c740cf25b80ff2028069f495.png I promptly dumped CP into my mastery and got a C grade bow as it would put me at 537 M. Attack (3 times my current) but to my suprise I was doing less than half my damage, as if I had been using a weapon with less than half the m. attack. Currently trying to cut my losses here and sell the bow but yeah seems like that is supposed to read as maybe "M. Attack +42.0" which would make it useless? PlaceholderName
Also forget if I took the first level but does that also mean if I dont take Weapon Mastery at all I won't get a cast speed penalty?

PlaceholderName
It's kinda weirdly worded. Are you saying it's a generic +P. Attack/M.Attack increase no matter what weapon and when using a bow/spear it's just -30% casting speed? It's funky but I get it. Basically overlord can use anything there's no passives that are weapon specific. The only issue is Power Crush and Fatal Strike won't work unless it's Sword/Blunt/Dualsword/Spear and Spear just has the -30% cast speed on it. It's better viewed as "Orcs get this trait at level 1 making them worse casters with Bows and Spears" wrapped into a generic damage increase trait.
