Greater Red cat eye VS Greater Blue cat eye

Why does Greater Red cat eye gets P. atk critical damage, P. skill critical damage and P. Skill power damage

and Greater Blue cat eye only gets M. skill critical damage and M skill power damage

WHY DOES BLUE CAT NOT GET M atk critical damage... same item level that should be equal and yet is nerfed

(still sux mages are capped at 33% crit rate)

Because mages only use skills

P.atk critical damage = Physical attack critical damage = AutoHits only, no skills use,  Except for Daggers stab that are both considered patk/pskill dmg.

So mages are not doing autoattacks, only uses skill to kill mobs or on pvp,    Matk crit dmg or m skill crit dmg is the same.  that's why they didnt add it.  hope that was clear

there is no way for a mage to use "matk crit dmg" because you cast skills only.

p atk crit dmg is for swinging your weapon, not casting skills, unless u are a dagger.

Isn't it also for normal arrow attack too, not just melee attack? I think that is what the OP is trying to point out -- that the ranged equivalent of the archer, i.e., a mage, doesn't exactly get the same boosts from the jewel that is designed for that class.

Of course, people who play mage need to remember that there was a time when almost everyone played a mage and the only way for NCSoft to institute balance was to make mages less "all powerful" in every way. So they can't get all the exact same boosts as the other classes.

Yes, shooting an arrow also uses patk crit dmg. But shooting an arrow does not use p skill crit dmg, bc it is not a skill.

Mage used to be strong, now they are capped at 1/3 compared to physical damage classes like archers and tyrr.   With same gear archers can pve with 1 shot, mages take 2 -3 shots on same mob if they crit... thats sad
