Reflect Damage - What Nerfed It?

My healer has passive reflect on his dark caster and active reflect, before I quit 2 years ago it was amazing. Looking at my damage logs past siege I reflect very little to nothing to many people, but I still do a ton of damage in random duels I've had.

What items have nerfed the reflect? Is it just an open pvp thing or will reflect be trash in oly too? I'm wondering what changed before I take what used to be the top aug off my weapon.

Its still good in OIympiad, but there are items for defense now, compared to before, there were much less.

Nothing new has been added which increases reflect resistance since you last played.  I think what you are seeing is probably just more players reaching "max" reflect resistance (w/o Cats Eye).

"Normal" gear for serious (and even semi serious) PvPers includes 64% - 69% reflect resistance (Longing/Insanity, 7s, Rulers, Tauti, +9+ Set, shirt).  Even if you hit 55% Reflect on your healer (2x Reflect, Daring, Necklace) it's insignificant in mass PvP.

Think about it; if a high end player hits you for 50k you won't even reflect back 10k.

So no, reflect is no longer the best aug for endgame (maybe still best for HK).  For a healer I would say passive 10% PvP reduction is best but arguments could be made for others.

That's a really good Answer, thanks Rodah!

I noticed last siege stuff like Truffa was hitting me for 6k a swing, I was reflecting 140 damage. It used to be the case that reflect got applied before pvp reduction from dark/abundance etc, so you'd actually be reflecting 90+% damge! Such a shame (for me anyway), maybe when I've got some savings I'll invest in some Giant LS again. :D
