Responsible Gaming Payment Limits

How do you set up the responsible gaming limits for ncoin purchases?

I'd like to set up a limit of 12000 ncoin a month for my account. I've managed to find these settings on poker and other gambling sites, but it's not so clear here.

Thanks

There is a limit set by default but it's much higher than 12k coins, can't remember exactly how much. When the limit is reached you won't be able to buy more coins and when you try to you get the standard "oops, something went wrong" message. You then have to write in to support to request to increase the limit. This increase is only temporary though and I think lasts for 1 month before the old limit is reverted. I'm not sure if it's possible to reduce the limit permanently.

I don't have that limit, and even if that limit was applied I'd want it much lower. To the staff (I don't want to link your names since that seems bannable) How can I set a limit?

I've already told you what you have to do Ferine. Join a pve clan or move to classic

There's no need to set an ncoins limit on there since there's no l2store at all and there aren't ncoins.

To give you an idea with the money truffle has spent on his toon to 1 shot a dragon he could have subscribed a 3420 monthly fee on a classic official server if truffle could have a lifetime of 285 years.

Sadly it's not even about the competition, it's just playing the game in general. I can tank a ton of damage in sieges with my current setup (Truffle gave up on me twice last siege), Oly is just a case of gear, so I gave up on that a while ago (although I used to love it), Open PvP is generally extinct as it's just a case of waiting until a big spender comes along.

The problem is just having the gambling pushed on players each month at such outrageous prices and hidden low chances. Without a limit it's easy to intend to spend 8k ncoin for "a little go", but end up blanking out and spending 100k. That's why gambling websites have to have options to limit your spending, that's why I want to know how to do it here.

If do remember well the limit is around 20k ncoins.

But if the problem is a compulsive gambling one, and i had the same experience, the only way is to move on.

I needed only a lvl 4 pearl but i ended up trying for a lvl 5 ruby burning 400 $ in just one hour.

The funny thing is that after the first minute i wasn't even trying to get that lvl 4 pearl but trying to oe a lvl 4 ruby, topaz, tanza.

And the mental process is really simple. You saw a lvl 5 ruby so, at least you think so, it's possible to get a lvl 5 ruby.

The reality is that no one can ever win vs the casino and even if you win (Truffle) the casino will offer you a room so the next day you will loose what you got and the house you've left at home.

Even if you set a limit you will find yourserlf typing to the support please remove the limit. And the problem will be much worst than the actual one.

To me this isn't l2 anymore. I log in here just to see if a friend of mine on chronos or naia has sent me a pm nothing more nothing less and to read what yidao writes.

If you don't want to play to an online casino this isn't for you. Period.

Last thing. When you wrote about your coming back i told you don't do it :P

I don't get why someone would need such a feature in a first place. If u don't wanna buy more - simlply don't.... duh.

That's a really narrow minded comment to make. Just because you've never suffered from moments of compulsive gambling or poor impulse control doesn't mean other people don't. It's a pretty common thing and I'm sure a lot of the people left playing this game do have impulse control issues. These events are targeted at them, not you.

What Quitted wrote is a typical example of how people spend money in all of these events. Personally I'd never even think of consciously spending $200 directly on an item in a game, but I'd spend $40 for a chance to win, then $40 more when I lose, then 8x $40 more and end up with nothing but $400 lost. People lose more impulse control and spend more when they're losing, it's basic psychology.

@Quitted I know I shouldn't have come back, but I still love the core game and my old friends. I actually have about $1500 or so play money after bills etc each month, so I don't mind hobby spends, it's the need to gamble without a way to cap it that really sucks. I was spending $300-400 a month playing Magic The Gathering in real life and it was great, met a lot of new friends I go out for beers with and trips out of town, I even got a bio on the official website after doing well in a big 1000+ person tournament. I need to save up actually as I'm going with the guys to a big Grand Prix in Barcelona soon.
