NCJP confirmed that Prelude of War update will be released at February 27. They also mention two things:
- Amount number of clan members will be reduced as in Korea from 229 to 87
- Dimensional Sieges will be focussed on Aden castle only

Here are all the updates:
http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/update/list

Please note that the patch notes for the regular servers are mixed together with the ones for the Bloody PvP server. You want the patch notes without the [블러디] tag in front. Like for example today a Combat Mode/컴뱃모드 was introduced on the regular servers. When you switch that on via the Actions window, you don't need to press the Control key to attack another player (party members, clan members and alliance members are exempted). Just like in the Olympiad:

(about halfway down the page)

The conversion of Lineage 2 into a PvP game continues.

There have not been any developer interviews/Letters to the Community since a long time, so I can only speculate.

My guess would be that they are trying to streamline things, freeing low level hunting grounds so that they can be upgraded to the 110+ range. And this goes not only for the old ones. Yesterday Fafurion's Temple was upgraded to lvl 119/120:
http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/update/view?articleId=638702

And next Wednesday Hellbound will be changed too (my guess is that the "new enemy" who was announced with the "Prelude to War" update will be Beleth). The goal could be to dangle high-level stuff like R110 equipment in front of the players' noses so that they are motivated to spend money on boosts. To level a Subclass from 40 to 80 takes a few days at most; no money for NCsoft to be made. So that content must go.

I really hate when they destroy things lore-related, or things that make Lineage II a Lineage II :( (For example deletion of the pre-awakened skills)... BTW what happened to Talking Island, why they have to leave it? Where the players start in L1? Are we closer to the L1 times? Old starting places still contaminated? Lots of questions...

P.S.: what will happen if i have 1 subclass that i want to make Dual, but is not dual yet? Will be deleted also?

Joining up the story line to Lineage 1 could indeed be the long-term goal of the developers. Recently there has been a joint L1/L2 comic about the Tower of Insolence:
http://lineage2.plaync.com/board/cartoon/list?aliasName=arrogance

It didn't really work (in L1 Baium is called Eborutine), but since in L1 Beleth plays a key role in building the Tower of Insolence (while in L2 he is already incarcerated in the basement of the  Ivory Tower at the time of construction), maybe the new enemy is really Beleth. Or maybe the God of Death who does Shilen's job in L1 (where she is safely sealed up by the Seven Signs). Next week we will see.

In Lineage 1 the players, no matter which race, all start on Talking Island. Here is what it will look like as of next Wednesday, when Lineage Remaster will be launched:
https://lineage.plaync.com/update/history/2019/190320_remaster?keywd=L1_remaster_1920x510_20190320&logger_kw=L1_remaster_1920x510_20190320&source=logger_kw&_C_=4516#/hunting

At the time of the Lindvior update the then Chief Developer said that the Starter Villages in Lineage 2 would be rebuilt, but that plan seems to have been abandoned. I can't help the impression that in the long run the developers will completely do away with pre lvl 85 content and fast-track everybody through the Balthus Knights instance to 85.

The Harnak Underground Ruins on Talking Island still seem to be an active lvl 85+ hunting ground.

As to what will happen with a Subclass you have not yet made a Dual Class, I simply don't know. Yesterday NCKorea just posted the short advance warning I linked above. I could imagine that that Subclass will also be deleted and that a Dual Class is acquired via a new quest. On Wednesday we will see :)

a lil heads up as per last update from Juji our next update will include Prelude of War but he didn't specify upto which cut off point that would be, DIL said this about that: "overseas versions (PtW) should be up to 2019/01/02, at least, we'll have this version for Live + Classic updates January 2"

this means we will not get the ISS changes etc. included or any of the other ones posted in this topic since then as those happened on 23rd January and onwards..

I do recommend rereading the Korean patch note details as there are quite a few changes coming that will affect the game greatly

The automatic use upon reuse for self-buffs like Empowering Echo was introduced on December 12, so it will be part of our next update, like the other changes to macros:
http://lineage2.power.plaync.com/wiki/전란의+서막+기타

What will not be part of our update is the Combat Mode toggle and the auto-farm Manor Mode/매너 모드 toggle, which were introduced on March 13 resp. March 20.

there wil be alot of improved functions yes, more then what Yidao listed but as Korea keeps updating it there are still many more to come so pending on what you're looking for it may or may not be part of it..

also before you ask I have no idea if the Prelude of War update version will end the pk bug exploit.. better ask Juji that question, see also the whole PK system changes topic in general section

Here are today's patch notes:

As far as I can tell, all Subclasses are deleted and you will have to pick up a new Subclass, level it to 80 and then make it a Dual Class. I guess that's the reason why NCKorea posted that advance warning one week ago.

By the way, there is no Beleth, just the monsters at the Magic Circle and the Quarry being upgraded to lvl 101~102.

best part of that update are the changes to the open field raid bosses or better said their removal :P

only 10 remain and most of those are lvl118

also the new baium,lilith/anakim,orfen -> pvp zones, everyone can enter during the farm. let's see if the same will happen with the dragons

Field boss monsters' drop roots permission rules have been changed.
- If the last attacker is solo, only the last attacker will be given the right to execute.

MEANing that u dont have to do all dmg on boss? only last hit to get loots?

read everything lol.. there's a whole list of "if" there.. also reread what I wrote.. when that applies there's no more raids below 106, most will be 118

im sorry, my korean sucks, and the google translator isnt very good... i read this :

Field boss monsters' drop roots permission rules have been changed.
- If the last attacker is solo, only the last attacker will be given the right to execute.
 - If the last attacker is a party, give the party members the right to be rooted.
 - If the last attacker is a federation, grant the routing member the appropriate federation member.

i didnt c the part where every raid boss will be 118, only baium.lilith/anakim/orphen, maybe im reading in the wrong place

In point 7 of the Hunting Grounds/[사냥터] section it says indeed only that the old Bosses will be removed and replaced with 10 new ones. In the Powerbook Wikipedia Baium etc. have already been updated to 118:
http://lineage2.plaync.com/gameinfo/raid/index?searchType=1&serverId=53&beginLevel=118&endLevel=118

On that lvl 118 list the new Bosses are missing, but you also don't find them when you search for them by name, i.e. they have not yet been added to the database. We simply don't know what level they will be.

As far as the looting rights are concerned, it sounds indeed as if only the last hit gets the loot. The problem is that if there is a party or a command channel (파티 resp. 연합), that also applies. In other words, if anybody out of a command channel does the last hit, the looting rights go to the command channel. In theory a solo player could ninja the loot by trying to get a last hit in before the Boss dies. But with 20 other players attacking, the probability for that, esp. with a high-level Boss, is rather low.

To put it another way, the more members there are in a command channel attacking a Boss, the higher the probability that said command channel gets the loot. This sort of elminiates the advantage that extremely well equipped solo players have right now. Advantage is now given to big groups, even if they are not so well equipped :)
