The boxes weren't the problem. It was the amount of boxes and speed in which they were released. First day of new servers there were 2 different p2w events, one of which was a lottery in which the person who spent the most got a DK transfer book, which was 4k usd. The 2nd place person who spent 3.9k got a +7 dragon belt or something like that. P2w boxes last 2 weeks or so, then when those two weeks were over, two new loot boxes were introduced. This happened for 2 straight months. That's why those servers died.

On EU servers I farmed hundred mil a day on my titan, a few hundred million on days LoA are open.

Even tho i spent all that, i am seeing now, that i can't even sustain "farming" and buying spirit ore/soulshots with "Adena" and got to be forced to pay from "Store" the SS tickets, + counting the sayha grace + deluxe pack, the server just started and its already VERY costly, and this is just for "farming" not even gearing up.
i am very sure that in2-3 month both servers will be "LIGHT" once people realise that NCWEST will cost 3x more than EU and will the worst paytowin festival.
Also i tried to understand if farming/playing market is viable to make money and then "covert to LCoin" , BUT simply what they did is bound many top items to toons/Sealed, impossible to buy/sell , Really pushing all players to spend money and makes it no way to be farmable.
I don't say the game must be free, but make it enjoyable for everyone and make payment a ++ in faster progression. but they make a game that is impossible to play without spending 500$/month just for farm, not even gearing. this is Insane,
i'll play a few more days and enjoy the big mess it will become.
if i missed something let me know, because i got no clue about Essence servers appart from what i heard and see

Should have done research before you started playing.
These servers atm are actually cheaper than EU right now, with no p2w yet, and nothing is more p2w than EU servers.

I don't mind subscription too when it feels like I'm improving already decent/good gameplay. At the moment all those bonus XP/SP/Adena feels mandatory NOT optional. You have to entice players to improve your gameplay/ quality of life not literally hold it behind paywall. Make leveling fun and worthwhile, with bits of enchanting in-between.
For me it feels like they wanted to mimic private-PVP servers where people jump in to have "fast" leveling and enchanting fun. And if they really wanted something even close to it, they missed the mark.You aren't cut out for essence, and should probably quit. It was said 1000 times here, this version is heavily p2w, even pay to progress.

That was a dumb thing to do, really dumb. You will have to submit a ticket and see if they will give you that weapon back, but i doubt it.

You need to buy the deluxe pack, and some l2 coins to get agathion pack and brooch jewel packs from the store to be able to continue. As a tank, you will need a lot more than that in the future to continue.
If you lasted that long in instance, you probably didn't have the correct skill on, or didn't even learn the skill in the first place.

To all that are saying this is not a fast exp server, please re-read the Aden page and the statemens of the L2 Staf, there is a guy(juji) recommending the fast exp dungeon wich grand you 10kk exp about the same of 8 hours of bonus-less griding at lvl 40pay to level is p2w in essence. Essence is all about levels.

Hint. If you want to get adena, buy some nccoin, and buy EAB's from the nccoin store. Sell those EAB at the grocery store. Each 5 EAB is 400k, so basically 120 nccoin = 400k adena.

There is no max level, soft cap is 90. Well, probably 89 for most people. Average time to get from 89 to 90 is 3 months. Pretty much the xp required to get from 1-89, is the same from 89----> 90.

it is easier. you realize the level cap is basically 90. Stop comparing the xp here to live, which has a totally different level cap.

What time is siege, olympiad, fort, etc for these servers? This game is based world server activities, how can each server be different time zone.

It was never advertised as x5 times the rate. And what people who never played essence before don't understand, is that xp here is still slow. Once you get to 89 (if you ever do). average time is about 3 months to get to 89 to 90

No, they just copy and pasted DK information from live server, probably because they don't know the difference between live and essence, or willfully did it. Hard to say.
