Once it was revealed that an L2 8000 box costs $25, I knew that these servers wouldn't last. This was the single biggest factor in determining the longevity of this community. The price is simply way too high for most of the players here, and they will all slowly begin to leave as the price bleeds them dry.

Lootboxes. Wait for the first lootbox event drop and spend big, and you will get enough tickets to exchange for a full set.

Books are usually pretty difficult to get, some more than others. The first Ultimate DK Transformation book that drops will be sold for *at least* $5000 in L2 Coin boxes (that's 200 L2 8000 boxes).
Titan Champion book will be sold for a similar amount.

This is most likely the end of L2. Aden came out a couple years ago now, back in 2019. EU/RU got their servers in mid/late 2019. Then it finally came here to NA this month.
In terms of "Lineage II", this is it. There is nothing new beyond this in development. Aden will be supported for a few more years to come, and there will be updates to Aden over that course of time. But there is nothing else beyond Aden.
The "Lineage" franchise though, will continue on. LineageW is being unveiled in a couple of days, which you can see here: https://lineagew.plaync.com/coming.

- Defeated alliance will leave the server because they run out of cash and they can't battle for anything else.
- Whales will have no one to bash, and will chose another server to P2W.
In the end, F2P will understand this is definitely not a game for them(haven't they yet?)
People who spend 50 dollar's a month will understand they can't compete and will be useless forever. And look that 50 dollar's is more than any regular/decent game charges you monthly.
And, the only one happy will be NCwest with the easiest, fastest money they have ever had.
Tell me this is not the goal here...
That's the ultimate goal, yes, but the timeline will be stretched out significantly here. NCWest is much smarter than Innova is, and will stagger p2w items over time. The final goal is what you said, yes, but expect it to be about 3-6 months in until all p2w is finally available to buy.

The pay model won't be changing. Some things that could be updated a bit are gameplay mechanics, like castle sieges, olympiad, and such. How they work here is pretty bad.

The problem is with EU's Frost protection software.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the high population. We all know what happened to Blue during it's peak. Aden/Essence in general seems like it's very demanding on the server with how much is going on and how many mobs are spawning.

It currently costs about $100-$150 a month, just to maintain Sayha. Anything you need additionally, will be a cost on top of this base price. Lootboxes, p2w items, store events, etc. will also hundreds of dollars per month, on top of the cost of Sayha.

Also, all of this information and general knowledge was posted before the servers even went live. Everything is going according to plan. If anything, the game is cheaper currently than what we were expecting.

Directly, no. They have to put in requests and suggestions to the Koreans, and hope the Koreans adjust or alter it.
Even NCSoft West has no power to make adjustments. However, since they are an official subsidiary of NCSoft, their requests are taken much more seriously and approved at a higher rate when compared to a third party licensee, such as Innova/4Game.

As much as you hate it, the facts are that these NA Aden servers are better than EU, regardless of what period of time you choose.
You have to at least give NCSoft West and Juji credit for that.

From my experience, that is all accurate. NCSoft West has been a lot smarter about handling Aden servers though, than Innova/4Game did with EU Essence. Starting these servers with very little p2w, and then staggering each p2w item individually over time, is exactly how you want them to do it.
Innova/4Game for EU just dumped everything all on the store immediately, so people pumped thousands of dollars, some even spending $10,000-$15,000 dollars on p2w items, within the first 2-3 weeks of server launch.
The PK system is also a little bit better here, than what EU had during the opening of their most recent servers (which are now closed/merged).
High prices will be the main downfall of here though, just as they were on EU.

With current exchange rates, each region is paying approximately RU = $13 per L2 8000 & EU = $24 per L2 8000
RU has numerous servers still open, and they are launching 2 more new servers soon. EU is completely empty and dead.
As for KR, I'm not sure what their exact prices are, but I have heard their L2 8000 is somewhere in the $30-$35 range.

And the only people left on EU are the heavy spenders/whales, which is really the only players that NC needs.

They are extremely cheap to operate due to them piggybacking off their RU servers, which they also operate. Their RU servers are still profitable with a healthy population, because get this, they charge less money for L Coin than they do on their identical EU servers.

This first week has been fun, but yes, the prices are extremely high here. The population will not last at these prices. People will soon be hitting the brick wall in front of them.
If I had to guess, I would say that 30% of the entire Aden population will be gone within the next 2 weeks.
After the first 30 days has passed, at least 50% of the entire day 1 population be gone.
There would be a population drop no matter what, for any game. But one of the biggest problems with L2 Aden will be getting NEW players to join and help fill in those gaps. The barrier of entry for new players will get higher, and higher, as time goes on, and p2w items are introduced. New players simply won't be coming.
The current players will slowly bleed out from paying $25 per L2 8000 box, until only the most hardcore are left.
This is what happened to EU, where Siege turned into 1 party vs 1 party, and in some cases, 0 parties as the castle would be left unclaimed.

Everything you have said, we already know. We know how to make the game better in pretty much every way possible. But the Koreans own this game. They are the only ones who get to develop it. NO ONE outside of Korea gets to control Lineage 2 in any shape or form.
This game is made by Koreans, for Koreans. What they want, and what you want, in many cases won't align. You just have to accept that and either play the game for what it is, or move on.

It takes time. Depending on your current situation, it could take you days to acquire enough adena to purchase these skills. It's part of the plan.

The leveling process is automated, and that is where everyone is at currently. The only thing that matters in Aden is endgame content.

There are numerous skills in the game that either cost adena or magical tablets to learn. This is simply one of them.
