Any Tyrr can use any Weapon, other than Daggers & Bows(many Retributers like DW and Challenger/Exalted still have Fighter SAs) try equiping an eviscerator with a Retributer... you couldn't kill anything that might give you XP.

Well, yeah, Tyrr are supposed to be weapon experts, but each type still has some skills that can only be used with specific weapons depending on their class. Like above post said, take Tyrr Maestro. They cannot use Power Hammer Crush with swords, staffs, or even dual blunt weapons. It can only be used with one hand blunt only. But most of the other common Tyrr skills can be used with almost any other weapon, except bows, daggers, etc., as you note. Just read the skill description if in doubt.

I've been observing  feoh DW prices. Ive seen earth and fire ones go for as low as 300-350b ea before. But Im a storm screamer and we use wind.  The ones with the attack attribute I need usually go for 800b and only seen it go as low as 700b.

It all adds to your overall attribute damage, so no, it's not a problem if you use wind or dark on your Storm Screamer, but have a Fire, Water, Holy, Earth element on your weapon. What should matter most to you is the high magic crit rate and damage that you get from a DW. All of them (two hand staff, one hand staff, mage sword) are better than R110 in that respect, because you can also increase that % with SA. And you also get +50 attribute than with R110, so it's a win all around.

But don't spend too much on one. 300-400b seems about right for a one handed mage weapon. Maybe add another 150-200b for a two hand staff, but the difference isn't that noticeable, tbh. You could use that extra 200b on items that increase your m. skill crit rate/damage.

Hi everyone, I haven't played in about 5 years and now I want to play but I have iss hierophant lvl 101 except I don't have any active buffs. Do you have to fly somewhere to reset skills? Like back in the day, what did you get for free skills upgrade books?

As others have said, it's probably best to create a new character. I suggest a damage dealer, like a Death Knight or Eviscerator. Neither of those classes needs a lot of gear to kill quickly. The Evi is a single target class, so it kills slower than a DK. You will get the starter quests in Gludio and get some gear along the way to get you to Awakening at 85. From there you go to Aden to continue quests, including Exalted, that will get you more helpful gear and level you to 105 in a couple of days at most.

But to answer your question, you should already have some basic buffs on your ISS. You may need to go learn skills. You may not know this, but all of the basic buffs have been reduced to just 3-4 and everyone can learn them. The difference is that they will cost others more Spirit Stones than an ISS...generally speaking. If you don't have enough SP to learn everything, just go do War Torn Plains until you accrue enough.

Your bigger problem will be Runes. You will gradually earn some as you level, but you won't have all of your important buffs that require runes learned until you get your subclass leveled up, too. You can buy runes, but they're pricey.

Which brings us to an even BIGGER problem with L2 now. It's hard to earn adena by just normal hunting. There are drops of mats in some places, but not much else. When you get higher level there will be hourly instances where you can earn more adena than usual, but they are impossible to do solo for an ISS in basic/exalted gear.

Long story short, be prepared to play with your credit card.

  4. It's possible to change to Dwarf or Orc if you select one of the exclusive classes for those respective races, i.e., Maestro and Dominator. But can you change to Kamael? At one point, Trickster was unique to Kamael females only, but I think that was changed some time ago. Is there any class that is exclusive to Kamael only now?

I took the ring and I'm sorry. Paralysis absolutely does not work with feoh mass skills

Some people include Elemental Spike and/or Crash (single target) in their macro, so I guess there is a chance you might para one mob while the remaining dozen attack you.😄

I went with the Lindvior after seeing market now flooded with low price rings. I may be able to pick up something cheap to use short term, even if it's just a Truth ring. Lindvior prices are still high though and it will be a long time before I can afford one.

truthseeker.... lndvior earring can be bought for 70-75b during events, also you will eventually use fallen angel earring, for the reuse and 5% m crit dmg and 4% from augument which is not that hard to get

We can also augment the Event jewels, yes?

Just the 2 you can see on the attendance calendar, separated by 7 days

Ok, that is where confusion comes from. Calendar states event duration is from August 1 through Sept 5, which is 36 days...but there are only 28 days listed on the calendar. Was thinking maybe there were more days somewhere, perhaps with more Black Coupon rewards.

They didn't even give us full 31 days. This is a February calendar ... in August. What a ripoff!

  8. I already have B. Valakas.  Want to use Black Coupons for next jewel, but not sure which.

    1. Lindvior  --  +10% M. Skill Crit Damage, +3 WIT to increase crit skill rate a tiny bit, +10% Reflect Damage

    - or -

    2. Ring of Truth-Seeker -- +20% M. Skill Crit Damage, +5% M. Atk +2 CHA, brief single target Confusion (they should have made AOE paralysis)

The only hesitation with Truth-Seeker is that you can get a Ring of Creation for cheap that only does 5% less M. Skill Crit Damage and 2% less M. Atk than Truth-Seeker. But you cannot get an earring for cheap that does +10% M. Skill Crit Damage for cheap, though Blessed Atlas will get you 5% if you spam mentees.

I think I just answered my own question.
