Hello guys, my post is good for newbie that's not sure whether he should play on Chronos or EU Core server. I played on Chronos for 3 months so far (spent 2k$ for the start). I know game developers must have revenue to keep the game going. Therefore, their revenue is more than what they do for their clients (Revenue>their contents for us). here is how the server is for newbies: Newbie starts the game and finish quests till 105 lvl with given gear from the finished quests. After that, more than half of them quit and the rest starts using their credit card. They buy nccoins and sell them to buyers during scam events. They get geared up and afk 24/7 at Tanor Kanyon, Silent Valley etc... (supports are useless till they reach higher lvl (which could take years) , and decent gear. After 3 to 6 months of full exp boost, they reach 110/111 lvls. and Still afk 24/7 at Ketra or Varka. Well PvP is dead right now (even for top players), and the siege is alive somehow (barely), you either give 1 shot or get 1 shot at Olympiad.
Chronos History 3 years ago: I quit after 3 months of destruction update, then I started playing again when the game was lit 3, 4 years ago. there used to be pvp at bloody swampland for bad geared players, AF for better geared players. The siege was so good. MS used to fight against Nova, Sunshine had pretty active pve players. and FuriousSteel and others (sry forgot names). Olympiads were somehow better, FS, MS, Nova, Sunshine (except Nova feeding teammates, strategic though). KsK, DH were not active though.
EU Core Server: I played few weeks. It is same as Chronos. but items on Core is cheaper than Chronos. Dragon weapons stage 1 costs 350$ (bow 700$). But I can say, it has less players than chronos (pretty dead for me). Siege and Olympiads are somehow alive. If you wanna play on Core, I would advice to keep playing on Chronos (EU Core is boring, not worth a penny). Overall: there is no future of Lineage 2. I am telling you guys again. They are going to shut down Lineage 2, and bring new Lineage with new game mechanics, once Big Whales (addicted players) starts quitting. Good Luck. what a waste of 4.5 months (1.5 months were fun though), and 1k$$.

Heavy with bots who are afk 24/7. Some are new players till they hit 105. Then you won’t see them. Look for new players in higher lvl farm places. You barely see new players. What you think about buyer shops? There are buyers who buy new event boxes at some price. It doesnt matter the event is worst or not. There are buyers. Who the hell buys event boxes even though you barely make Adena? And where do they get that much Adena? Probably NC bots who let you sell your bought boxes with your ncoins. Compare sieges between official and illegal servers. illegal servers got more players playing in sieges. ?

Well, I already spent few hundreds $$$. I'm gonna keep playing till I am not be able to lvl up. I'll finish exalted quest, and reach 107. I am not spending a penny. I can invest thousands of dollars, but seems like the server is dying. very few serious players left right now. the rest are bots till they reach 105 or 107, afterwards they are gonna end up leaving the server. NC is going to merge Naia and Chronos soon (for sure), then they are gonna shut down the merged server (NaChronos). I do hope, they are going to bring us better Lineage 2 (remastered). few years left.

- Hey guys, I've started playing again since last week, spent few bucks just to see if the server is at least same as 2/ 3 years ago. But it got worse than that. there were 2 or 3 parties for the siege in Aden castle last week. But what makes me confused is that why "few player" still spending thousands of dollars? why don't you guys boycott NC? I know you guys love it and don't want NC shut down L2, I love the game as well. I just want NC to reduce price of items and let players enjoy. everyone is botting for what? spending for what? just to kill mobs? LOL. I am sure there were hundreds of topics posted before mine. But L2 Community! Please, Stop spending, and BOYCOTT NC. they make a lot of money from L2 and L2m. I am sure they are gonna reduce the price since L2 is one of the games that makes good profit for the company

hello, guys I just got back to game. can you guys give me a guidance for end game gear for archer? and cost of all items. (like jewels, dragon weapon stage 1).

Sure AoE is still going to be better xp, but not nearly as huge a deal as people say.
Positioning: I have played Fortune Seeker and Wind Rider up to 105/107, shadow chase cooldown is pretty fast, you can pretty much use it for every mob, it lands very well in pve and then you only need a few stabs after that to kill a mob. Otherwise, my WR has flanking stabs meaning I really don't worry too much about face tanking mobs. I rarely see an issue in my autohunt macro.
PoM (Heirophant 101 buff) is a *significant* boost to othell damage. It's 56.25% more damage provided it's a skill crit, and othells skill crit 90+% of the time from behind (and flank if WR), with party xp bonus, it makes sense to duo with a heirophant.
My current gear:
- +5 bloody r99 shaper 5/5 (yes single hand, I'm adding a r110 shield for +skill power later)
- exalted armour, exalted cloak
- longing, 7 signs, venir 10
- ruby3,opal3...etc. exalted quest freebies
- ekimus belt
I kill as fast as or faster than +12 bloody r99 yuls at beleths. Only ppl I see so far that kill faster than me: evis on steel mind.
Next things I'm working on:
- +7/10/15 elmore cloak (I'll see what I can get my hands on given the resources I have)
- +12 my weapon
- attempt to get +15% crit damage augment
- upgrade dragon shirt
- get dragon/angels ring (same thing as PoM, double stacking crit and skill crit damage, 15% -> 32.25% more damage), considering paulina's ring for same effect but only 30 day (hint: oly warriors ring has same effect)
- enchant skills to +10 (currently only a handful at +5)
- artifacts
Othells are actually one of the easiest classes to gear *initially* so they're not completely useless at 105, your exalted weapon and armor will get you to 107 without issues *SOLOING*. They have an easier gear progression than Yuls; even if Yuls are the most OP class in the game, it's hard to gear one to that degree, I chew up yuls on rando xp spot pvp on my WR, it's not even fair. But a well geared Yul will destroy me, as I have no gear to speak of.
All classes are good. I like my dagger, I can easily pew pew yuls

Just make dagger, and enjoy it. all classes are good. Dont listen to QQ players. I am a dagger. I could choose archer, but I like dagger.

Some of the things you mentioned is true, cheaper than here, But I am willing to pay more to have fun. anything that's cheap doesn't last long. Check out illegal servers. you can farm everything there, or pay 100 in dollars. you will have everything. But dead. I like here more than EU. I would play on russian server, but I don't know russian (.

Yeah, same I quit long time ago. I quit a lot and I always come back LOL. I tried to look for good MMORPG like L2, or any other good game. Unfortunately I couldn't find a game that's like L2. siege olys. L2 is like a weed. LOL

Yeah. I am gonna create a character and play there. but, Posts are making me scared of playing with lag, queue, customer service issues. damn :P. Since It is the most expensive game, I've seen my entire life, the game also got the problems. L2 is Real life. Armors cost more than clothes on me. Boots cost more than my sneakers. the problem they got is like Covid19. lol
