I was concerned that it was going to end during maintenance the previous week and no one would have had a chance to get the last item, because the attendance check time was not the typical daily check start time. By extending it for a week longer than the minimum, you save yourself a lot of headache from player complaints if the wrong time of day is accidentally chosen. Generally speaking, it's a good idea to allow the players more opportunities than are needed to get the complete set of items, because real life happens; not everyone can log in every single day for a month straight.
