  1. IMHO does not makes sense we being kept at the same level we were.

    We have invested time and money (by getting boosts) to achieve some exp number (E.G: 3 ntrillions) if this xp number means we are upwards on level by the new table we would get immediate benefit, not needing to buy new boosts or invest more time to reach a XP quantity we already achieved.

    To keep us on the same level with the new table they will need to reduce the gained Exp from all chars below 110.

    First of all I woul like to congratulate the game admins by doing updates, shows that they are "trying" something to incentive players.

    But why by the god's sake you don't just enable "crafting" back? Some "realistic" players knows that unless these chests drop a full DW lv3 they will not stand a chance against the powerusers (please, don't get me wrong here, these players invested a lot of dedication to get where they are).

    Also by your own experience you should know more than me or everyone here that each time you implement a "valuable random system" you do not favour any noob that would be hunting here or there but people that can to control areas (what is made easier by the PK system current flaws), we have the Cursed Weapons as a clear sample from this.

    Some players (as me) just want to gear their characters by effort, craft/spoil/enchant their stuff and progress realistically and at the L2 pace if this effort is recognized by some big clan take the next step and so on. Buy Adena (legally or illegaly) should be the "last resource" or the way people without patience and that wants to be top/pro on the first months takes.

    Craft lets ALL PLAYERS get access to gear up, customize our characters and is something to do "while" you level up, is one of the better game systems you have. You should of course keep your "exclusive" stuff as epics, curseds and DWs to the top guys, but "basic stuff" should be accessible to everyone and this was one of the better aspects from crafting (and drops, spoil...). 

    Until if doing as on Classic (guess where I am now) with materials with 0 adena price, it allows players to make their own parallel game at their own pacing. Play on Live now is alike having a pimp whose you need to give all your money and after go "farm" by more, sry, there is no fun or accomplishment on this routine.

    My characters here will be waiting until a "better carrot" appears. :)

    PS: The fun/happiness on get a "Masterpiece Craft" is a memory I will  keep forever, thanks by this.


  3. Hello guys!

    Just switched from Live to Classic, I am feeling as a "pinto no lixo" (sorry, this can be just explained on my main language XD) with so much material drops and the possibility of both spoil and crafts. While I see that there will be a long way until get chars ready to something there is a lot of stuff to do (different from Live AFK boredom only option).

    There are some homework I got, so just correct me if I am wrong and I will be thankful. :)

    • PKs = All bigfishes have a PK or are PK themselves to keep their AKFarm spots, there is also random bullies, but these can be identified. 
    • Control = As any old server there is already a hegemony, just need to read the world chat.
    • Drops = Adena is hard to get, better spots are kept, so if you want something fast use the "pony of agony" or "abandoned pony" exploit.
    • Warcryers = You will expend a lot of adena or time to complete your buff set, amulets are rare and SoE mobs disposition do not helps autohunt, better amulet source would be the Dimensional Quest or simply Level a lot of Warcryers by the 40 chests.
    • Craft = There is a random craft, but it is twice the price by try related to Essence servers, taking into account the "random" factor I think that go for materials and recipes is a lot cheaper to newbies than burn adena on this.
    • Economy = It is messed as on Live, prices are calculated as if everyone is using the pony stuff (and probably is). 

    These I still studying, so any tips will be great.

    • Transformations = Books are as the Codexes on Live, worths more to sell them to make some early game adena, I have seen that there are bonuses if you complete "transfromation sets" but could not find any source from each set effect.
    • Runes = The Soul Crystals from Classic, I loved the effect from Supers, are they hard to level to 8? Does Maphrs helps on upgrades?
    • Blessing = I have not seen blessed weapons or scrolls until now, are they implemented? 

    And if you dont care on share some from your experiences:

    • VIP Level = I am a low/casual expender, is VIP 1 enough to enjoy the game or there is an "impossible paywall" as on Live?
    • Updates = What is the average "real" update frequency to Classic? I do not mean on new Cash items but things that anyone can to enjoy. 

    Well, I will be on some crazy places by items that nobody cares about, so if you have any advice you want to share directly or simply chat feel free to mail me or PM.

  4. Some things to consider:

    - There is not need of lots of "WAR" since they removed the PK penalties.
    - Retaliate AFK is a lot easier (The beauty of Autohunt feature).
    - As you may know L2 is a game where top+old players are so much powerful that 90% of the server can't stand a chance.
    - Server drops are nerfed as hell to  force you to save Adena buying shots from Store (main monetization model here on Classic) this also reflects on gear up difficulty, so there is a small chance of "new forces" appearing. 

    I do not advice you on trying "PvP" by spots, just join the strongest side and enjoy the hegemony. ;)

  5. Guys, really...

    The ones that win are the ones that know the law$/rule$ and use them at their favour.

    The game is not a democracy, it is ruled by a corporation and while the quarter report show positive numbers there is no reason to get (or favour) new fresh players. Keep the game as is and generate scarcity of resources is pratically what keeps that "amazing" boxes selling. They have an excellent live ops team to keeping us behind the carrot.

    In the end I think that most from us just have the "realistic" goal in become something a bit higher than another random (as me and you maybe), lets be sincere, we will not beat a Dragon Weapon owner and really few from us has the competence to make a strong enough ally and farm them. 

    "Revolution" is another game :D

    We know the lag problems are not on purpose, but the worst part is that it is happening during events that would help players (as the past xp plus the halloween bonuses). We are literally "burning" vitality rune time, roses, cocktails and not getting the better from these opportunities, what imho is analogous to we expending boosts to compensate server failures.

    Also consider that all mobs database was adjusted based on the characters hitting normally and not at 1hit/sec, so when we say "unplayable" it is not exaggeration.  

    While our first impulse is come here and complain, I think that most from us will not care if you implement a "longer" maintenance on next Wed if this mean you would detect the lag origin, also you can count with the community if you need recruit some "subjects" to make stress tests. Just improve your communication, can do wonders.

    I think I will be fishing until this get solved. ^^

    Go to youtube, search for a talk from Torulf Jernström, after imagine that he has not 13+ years of experience on "this kind" of business. 

    While I am sorry by your frustration should say: "Play wiser".

    Would like to make "just two" suggestions to make the PK's lifes a bit more fun:  

    1) Change the requirements from the first 2 exalted quests.
    The Issue: Every noob "needs" to stay in just 2 specific areas to get the what will allow us to progress, killing that huge ammount of mobs demands a lot of time, so you pratically arrest all the fresh meat in just two maps (Blazing and War Thorns) allowing any 103+ to bully all the server noobs in just 2 neighbors maps.   
    * Suggestion: Make that required marks drop from 93+ mobs, while this will ressemble the "killing boars" situation from southpark episode people will at least have a choice, this will demand a bit more work from PKs part, since they will need to teleport (we will talk about this soon...) in a bit more places.

    2) Do minor changes in the "My Teleport" system.
    The Issue: PKs are circumventing teleport restrictions (if there is still any) and Floran respawn penalty by using My Teleport system (BSOE, Clan escapes are kind of traditional, np at all...).   
    * Suggestion: Could you please just "block" the usage from such system by chaotic characters above certain number of kills?
    Note: If we make a party and kill a bully with better equip than us, since we get no drops anymore a minimal reward would be allow us to play some time without need to do a mini-PvP-raid on each 20 seconds.
