@Laykeyaold times was not an argument, it was an example. Some1 pays 15-30 euros per month, has certain expectations of service. Some1 pays *voluntarily* 1000 euros per month, has different expectations and demands of service.

@Laykeyayou go back 2 -3 years you will see different behaviour in forum, not this angry rants. you will see even posts asking for feedback. did you see any response to all the threads? did you see 1 response in the 15 pages of player feedback? did you see 1 of the repeating problems being acknowledged, addressed, or solved?
there is no use in this attitude, the attitude of users is because of the indifference of NC. you do not just see the result and say why you act like this, try check the cause of this attitude.
no one is forcing you to pay, that is a fact. they just rigged the game so that is impossible to move forward without paying. How you get cloak? artifacts? la Vie jewels? you can do a quest? maybe farm a spot? even if somehow you farm the adenas to buy them from other players, someone paid real money to get them in the server. try farm 110+ area without some items. So no, not forced at all.
lastly as for the solutions and the things they try, you see any post (excluding today) that says what they try? on the other hand you see people suggesting solutions w/o response from NC. Now, if some representative informed the community: We hear you, see the problems you say you have, we try to fix using A, B and C method, people would not feel neglected and would not be so upset.

Remembering that I am not saying that you are wrong, I just think that the way people here complain and are dissatisfied is wrong, and the majority that complain, are the most toxic and the ones that most contribute to illegal things for the server to get worse .
you know when people were respectful here? back in the subscription era. Why don't you check how many of us would gladly slip back to that model? coz you know what happened back then? server was stable, events were fun and meaningful, support team got sh*t done, and gms communicated with us. on the other hand people were fewer, servers were more, and i guaranty revenue was less coz l2store got people to spend a fortune willingly. No one forced them technically (if you exclude the systematic removal of game farming mechanics).
You think it's easy for someone to cut off a 15 year old habbit that gave him joy back in the day? not everyone can do it. It took me some time to cot it off years ago. or how about the people who spend 10-20-50k in the game? who are you to tell them to quit? they spend enough here *willingly* to buy a car or a house in certain countries.
What people demand is a working service, having no lag is not crazy thing, especially when you PAY for it. And people did not just start being rude, they ended up being rude and condescending after months of being ignored. Even worse of being lied to. "we are looking into it" "we wait news form Korea" and somehow after every fix things got worse.
On the players sharing the blame, sure, i can agree with that, but 75%? nop, no way. POLICE YOUR PRODUCT. SECURE YOUR PRODUCT. ENFORCE YOUR RULES FAIRLY. KEEP YOUR CLIENTS, YOUR SOURCE OF REVENUE HAPPY. It is NC responsibility to keep the rules they make. Why you think they do not ban people? coz they are not annoyed? or are they this kind? They ban some1 from a big clan in Chronos for exploiting a bug in a siege they did not fix for months. Than clan who played thousands each month and in retaliation they all migrated to Core. You got any idea of the revenue lost?

on a serious note got 2 suggestions @Juji since you are unsuccessfully tweaking stuff
Turn off ranking system for 24 hours and monitor performance. 100 people out of the whole server can live with a few less stats for a bit. If that proves to be the cause of server lag I do believe it's a well worth trade to perma turn it off in exchange for server stability.
turn off greedy chests for 24 hours and monitor if people delog their billion cameras around the map, by physically logging in the servers and running around in areas than chest spawn. Monitor performance.

And that is why as long as players here do not put economic pressure to get attention to the ongoing chronic problems, no matter how many threads with complains and "feedback" we make have proven to have close to 0 effect.
Imagine now that those comfort zones practices start to earn 800, then 700, then a notable shrinking of clientele. That could push towards the investment to better infrastructure and customer relations.

just form the top of my head. and people still casually spend hundreds if not thousands per month. I wonder, to the people reading this forum, what is your cut off? what will it take to say enough is enough?

you are not wrong but how long does this chain last? This only works to buy time to work solutions out. How long you keep customers if you keep this up?
You do not go "listen here you little shit, they are waiting for answers" you present the situation, problems, customer complains along with ideas for solutions. Even a bad idea can spark something good form a colleague. You do not treat your paying/long term customers like sh*t or like idiots. They will not be here forever. And once the floodgates for something alternative open(Core)? you figure out what comes next.

well on the subject of PI and prestige, archer keeping the camp clean with prestige and 0 scrolls yesterday 2 today, what are the chances huh? Note i;m on pc to do any pick ups, although seems i'm not needed...
on lag subject, the remaining melee clanmates are actually either raging or getting depressed, the most geared ones (trillion + worth of gear) are about to quit. They leave and probably take the rest with them.
Maybe it's time to accept you are not competent enough to run this thing and get outside help? are the higher ups there happy with the state of the game? are they fooled by the seemingly filled up servers with cameras and boxes? are the box sales that good that it does not matter? are ppl still spending that much with all this server instability? so many questions, so little answers

scroll this forum , see what ppl say, you will find mostly complain. this is mostly inhabited by old players too deep in to quit. Judge for yourself

3. random, but last 2 days are tragic
4. delay on opening boxes, crafting ss, changing class, switching toons in the same account. Randomly crashing and disconnecting. I run 3 accounts, a dd an iss and a shop, sometimes one, two or all three crash, have a lag spike and a random number of them close. the lag and delay started 1 day after migration and the crashes last 2 days.
The amount of euros you ask is not reflected on the service you provide. You got any idea how fast people lose clients with such poor service and communication you provide? I hope you do something to compensate ppl being patient with you. And i do not mean xp boost or promos. You can stick your promos where the sun don't shine the way this game is atm. IF YOU CANNOT HANDLE THE PROBLEMS CONTACT EU/RU, CONTACT KOREA AND HAVE THEM SEND COMPETENT PPL TO FIX THIS MESS. Till them i pity the ppl spending cash for this game, YOU ARE NOT KEEPING THE SERVERS UP! You reward bad behaviour. YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM!
Gear for sale probably if things do not change in anniversary, so maybe some1 else can "enjoy" this

i'd probably bet some money they will consider extending the xp bonus as "compensation" for a week or so, for the lost time. But bleep extending xp is not enough and not the point. Consider doing something to appeal to the players. The frustration you are causing to the community is reaching a dangerous peak.

i would suggest deactivate ranking system at least for 24 hours and see how performance is affected. Ppl can stop comparing e-pens for 24 hours to see if lag eases up

well... think the 1-2 days w/o lag and then right back to it made some people how bad of a service we are getting. 3 clanmates just migrated in EU, a bunch just stopped logging and the remaining melees just complain constantly about significantly diminished farm. Good stuff.

or you can make some friends and play. Join a clan, help some random support xp. people made due with what they had. Game was not solo like it is now.
Personally, I was paying for 2 accounts forever, was more than enough, actually 1 was enough.
Imo there was always something to do, maybe you have in mind instanced zones which did not exists.
There were many ways in all levels to make adenas like spoiling recs and enchants, seeding, making ancient adenas, crafting, selling ss, ketra/varka quests, raiding and ore i cannot remember atm.
Above all else pvp was relatively competitive. how do you compete now with ppl who just outright bough 10k more equipment than you? there was p2w back then of, but a) it was mostly frowned upon, while now its applauded, b) it was not the mainstream and c)with exceptions, the differences were not that extreme.
But the game was grindy and time consuming AF. It was hard but rewarding, giving you a sense of accomplishment that ppl who play now seem to either have forgotten or never had at all. Has any1 felt any sense of accomplishment getting anything out of a box after they payed like 200-500-1000 euros? That feeling is the rush of a gambler winning a bet.

just old type subscription, with most of the l2 store stuff through gm events or quests/drops. give meaning to farming. or at least make prestige available to the account not just 1 toon
