Actually Gladio can be good over 40+ 'cause he got new skills and modified skills...for example the 'banana' which used to be a single-target distant skill is now a single-target distant skill that stun the target. Double slash lower the target p.def. Also, he got a couple of new skills that blocks damage with certain chance.
