All my surviving toons were moved to Naia but I can’t really play them as they only have up to S gear and certainly not enough $$to buy even basic R so I created new toons and leveled with the free gear very fast to 99 BUT that’s where it slowed down almost to a stop. With that little bit of grinding I still don’t have the $$ to upgrade. The xp gain for my party of two was probably less than 1/100 of a percent. decided to try classic. What a mistake. Go to the areas you are supposed to quest in such as abandoned camp (or anywhere there is a concentration of mobs) and it is absolutely overrun with farmers. I’ve got a melee character and there is no way I can compete even if I put it on auto hunt. the elf caster classes whip out spells at a rate that beats my foot travel to the mob. I remember a time when NCSoft banned accts for automated play other than basic macros but now they include it in the game so farmers don’t even need a third party program. that leads us normal players to either accept the super extended grind because of reduced xp gains or visit that nice little L2 store. I understand that this is a business and they are in it to make money but FFS normal players can’t compete without forking over cash just to be able to grind. IMHO this WAS the best MMORPG out there, even when I paid monthly. It still is the best as far as graphics, mechanics, and general game play, but NCSofts greed ruined the average players ability to compete with the farmers and use the economy . where does that leave us? Using auto hunt to get some scraps from the farmers until we can level high enough to do parties in other areas maybe? I dunno, but I’m hoping there is something better in a few levels. Rangur Posted February 28, 2021 Share Posted February 28, 2021 You are mistaken, these elven summoners are not using autohunt, they are actually bots - just like in all the years before NCSoft refuses to clean the server of these scumbags no matter how obvious it is that they are botting. I get it, I was trying to use auto-hunt just to get a kill/xp for myself but there was no way, they are too fast. I got fed up with it and did what I did many years ago...perma-red. I brought my Spellhowler in and wiped out their entire camp. As you say though, they had a preset waypoint and kept coming back, not even trying to attack me. I must've killed 50 before someone decided they wanted to kill a PKer. I think it was some random guy, not even a farmer bot enforcer type. After that little bit of enjoyment, I went back to the live, or retail, or whatever we are calling the current version. I managed to grind my ISS to 100 after countless hours of auto hunt overnights. I accepted the next quests and went to the area only to get completely smashed by the mobs. I think I have reached the limit of my free R-grade event gear. There is no way, even with the amount of hours of grinding I have done that I can afford the cheapest R99 players are selling....i am in the low double digit millions, not the billions that they are selling for. Just one more thing to entice us to go to the L2 store, get 30 days of R99 for 500ncoin. I dont know if I missed something, but I went to the coin event quest giver and was not able to do it because that is for 105 and above. I admit, I dont follow the forums and everything going on as regular as I should, so if i miss something, that is on me. It just seems that once you hit 95, they slow it down quite a bit. Then hit 99 and they all but put the brakes on. All the shouts in chat LFG seem to be 105 and above. So WTF is supposed to happen from 100-105? How does one get to 105 if groups arent looking that low? I am not part of a clan yet, eventually yes, but not yet. So that was my rant for today. Love the game and the game mechanics, but absolutely hate how you cant afford anything in the economy without spending real $$ at the store. Just went to abandoned camp for that part of my journey and I am alone, completely alone except for my box!! Absolutely no pony farm bots at all. Is it a farmer holiday today? Perfect time for melee toons to level without having to try to get a kill before those casters take it. This is nice, I’m cancelling all IRL plans for the rest of the day!!! I have tried by all means to fit into a clan and have gone through the same problems that leave you powerless. I don't usually pay for items in games but I bought 400 NCcoins only to find that even if I do it is highly unlikely to compete with zone bots.
