  1. I finally built a new computer at the end of October and have been playing Lineage 2 since I turned it on.  Almost every single hour of free time was spent playing and when I was at work I had the toons auto-hunting.

I was truly enjoying sinking every waking hour into the game for the past two and a half months.

I haven't played in two weeks since the 16th.

The new HUD being passed off as "Classic" is just disgusting.  There's no way for anyone to make any money without botting or RMT'ing.

NC only cares about the whales whom spend thousands of dollars every single event to get the latest p2w items.

@Juji @Hime Give me a reason to play again, please?

Please stay positive!  Your perplexed mind may have the power to speak things into existence..  On a side note:  It might be a great idea to bring back the old DEV team to fix it because they did it right the first time.  This new team has no idea what they are doing and made the "Auto-Hunt" feature painfully unplayable.  No delay options, looping skills that weren't meant to be looped, and disregarded the importance of looping buffs, songs, and dances.  They also dropped the ball on assisting and the option to anchor the main assist...  They created a limited user interface missing critical details that allowed effective party management, and the list goes on...  Honestly has this new DEV team ever played or looped a party in Lineage 2?  This question may sound rhetorical, but I sincerely would like to know...

    Sincerely,

    Me again...

    I know NC.

They can't bring the old dev team back because they've all moved on to other companies or projects.

You can tell NO ONE involved with NC actually plays this game, I'm including our illustrious GM's and mods too, because otherwise this would've been caught BEFORE it was implemented or at the very least in the 6 full days before they implemented the patch when tons of people came out of the woodwork to tell them this was a bad idea to implement.

Honestly, if NC actually cared then they would've delayed the actual update until they figured out how to make the changes they wanted while keeping what works for the players.

As it stands, it's very clear that the changes they wanted was purely to do with extracting more money from the whales as this is easily the most pay-to-win event I've ever seen in any game ever.

A request has been sent off to the Dev team just now to add back the auto loop function for macros. I will share a status update as soon as I hear back from them.

He didn't actually say they would be implemented back in...he just said that they would "look in to" ways to restore them.

I'd say it's a very good bet that they just say, "nope...no possible way to do it."

NC Korea has never once implemented something at the request of anyone other than Koreans.

Even if we have convinced @Juji to approach the dev team (after more than a week, just pointing out) the dev team and greedy business practices of NC have the final word on everything.

They don't generally respond on the weekend.

This should have been addressed on the 10th when people started protesting...their inaction cost at least a week and a half's time for everyone and their own ability to get ahead of this situation.

Honestly, I'll be amazed if they do anything or even respond, at this point.

Who decided  which skill auto use or not? And why?

    See Doomcryer's skill:

"Chant of gate" -> Auto use.  (It consumes 500 spirit ore) Who will use auto mode this skill? What was the target?

All buff are not auto use. Why?

It's very clear that the devs, gm's, and mods don't actually play this game or they'd already know these changes were a bad idea.

Devs left the link in our version, but it appears to be for another region. We have an open request already regarding the fishing coins.

I mean I'm not going to say that most of this whole insane situation could've been avoided if you and @Hime would've just responded to our concerns a week ago in my thread and been pro-active about all of this stuff.

    I wouldn't say that.

And also remind them that this is supposed to be Lineage 2 ****CLASSIC**** and not look like a ridiculous mobile game with the way the new HUD interface is.

Oh it's stupid in ways I never dreamed possible. It's almost hilarious in it's ineptitude and tone deafness. The botters are going to do great though so I guess good for them. Meanwhile I'm clicking every single buff on every single person in my party because none of the buff macros work now. Bonus points they couldn't even bother to give the BD or SWS a bone with auto song/dance usage either lol.

I thought they specifically said that songs/dances could be auto'd now?

So there's no way to do auto-buffs at all?  Wasn't that the entire point??

Well guys was a pleasure to play with all of u but this patch kill all my hope about L2 Classic...
No more loop Buffs, Heals, etc

Time to play WOW Classic or any other sh**

I've been playing Nioh for the past two days.  Also downloaded Scarlet Blade...a lot more fun than you'd think.

Going to try out the new patch tonight when I get home from work and make my decision.

Still not one single answer about the intention of Blessed Soulshot and Spiritshots being removed, autofarm nerf, cutting our income while having no income when hunting at elemental areas and so on and on... Epic.

    So I didn't have a PC for the past 6 years...so I was playing FF14 on PS4.

I had a truly max-level character: Level 60 on all job classes with full Relic Weapon on every one of them and almost top raid gear with materia for every single one of them as well as my own Free Company complete with FC House in Limsa and my own personal Mansion (very first Chocobo Mansion on Lamia server.)

I quit FF14 because I went on vacation and refreshed my housing timers (if you don't enter them for 45 days they repossess them) the day I left...11 days later I came back from vacation and one of my houses was repossessed; the mansion.

I contacted SquareEnix support and they confirmed that, yes, the house was taken back in error but that they weren't going to do anything about it because someone had already bought it and it wouldn't be fair to that new person.  Literally hundreds of millions of gil just poofed out of existence.

I quit after that...want to check my toon, check the Lodestone (Verthande Chere.)  I'll never go back to FF14 and I *HIGHLY* recommend no one else goes there even if I didn't have this experience as that game is spiraling out of control, too.

The reason I'm sharing this is:

    1. I cut my teeth on Lineage 2 since Open Beta and then went on to be the top Chanter in the world in Aion (was between me, Facelift, and one other Korean dood that kept taking it.)

B- Coming back to Lineage 2 was supposed to be amazing and I still see the sparks of what I used to love in Classic and I've been playing for hours a day every single day since the beginning of November, when I got my new PC.

Finally, SquareEnix's GM/customer service was absolutely terrible...some of the worst I've ever experienced and I live under Comcast's boot...

...but at least they responded to their players.

My group easily hits the debuff cap without a low dps warsmith taking up a slot. I was auto running patriots at 53 with no issues with my latest group for about 4.5-5m xp per hour.

I have four party compositions at or above level 50. My highest level group consists of SK BH De PR SwS BD WC EE Bish which are 8x.

EDIT : My highest level warsmith is on the live server and has been around since prelude and is 100something. I haven't logged into that server for a couple years now.

EDIT 2 : The WS should definitely be out DPSing the TK which has even worse dps. TKs are defensive tanks with very little in the way of offensive capabilities. A warlock in blue leather with something as basic as cmg with kai should wreck the WS's dps when it's added. THe De should be already doing well beyond the dorf unless it's running around with a one handed mace or something equally silly.

I was the Sieghardt/Sayha Eva's Templar Hero for 14 months.  I'm well aware of how things work.  Destro has a Guardian Sword and dorf has a top C 2hand with Othell and BD has dama*dama.  My damage is still respectable but my party is much more robust than most.

  12. 3 minutes ago, Tool_of_Society said:

That's quite sad if that's the case. You really should look into gearing the other dps properly and how to setup their skills/macros. I tossed my warsmith long ago because it wasn't keeping up with anything not even the tank. The pet does allow it to do better than you'd expect but it's still miles behind real summoners with basic gear. Granted my WS never made it to 80 so I can't compare at the highest end but I can tell you in the 70s it's a bad joke.

The debuff the dorf puts on mobs is basically a free Hex, too.  My current party consists of a TK, SE, Warsmith, WC, BD, Destro, Bishop...also raising a SWS, and Warlock to add to it but they're not high enough, yet.

Those 7 auto-ran all night in FotG with no issues and they're only level 60-62.

Please just remove dwarfs from the game and allow those with one to auto reroll to an actual useful class. There really is no reason to bring a dwarf along anymore. Their dps is abysmal, they are no longer useful for carrying or crafting shots, their crafting is basically useless, and now magically NcSoft has managed to make spoil even worse.

I mean I run with a Warsmith in my party and they're probably the ones that do the most damage because of the golem.  Really hoping that the auto-hunt changes will let us assign auto-buffs to party members and then the Warsmith will be pretty great in a party.

  14. @Hime @Juji

Can we at least get the detail on how the Red Libra will work on Classic when none of that context exists for us?

It would be nice to be able to know how it's all going to work before it goes live so that there is at least less confusion with all of the other changes that are going to happen.

Are we going to get quests for lower levels because the lowest level quest in Red Libra is out of range for all but maybe 20 people on the entire server.

Will we be getting R99 weapons?

How long will the event be going for?

Are the Party Herbs going to drop and, if so, from what level mobs?

What is Green going to do since we can't dual-class?

Is Black going to be scaled down to trade other grade weapons since R99 doesn't exist?

Pink is also completely useless to us.

Will the 4 hour buff still cost 5m?  That's prohibitive to almost anyone who doesn't RMT.

Can we get a clarification on any of this or maybe to know when the event details will be posted so we can know before it goes live?

You can't expect GM's to respond to this clutter of dozens of different opinions about what should change.

Of course I want some things to change.

    For example.

Yes I agree that elemental zones are impossible to farm with no income (after 80+ especially)

But maybe there is a reason it is like that. Maybe we are not supposed to farm there so often.

We can voice our concerns tidy in different threads titled about a specific issue. This is just nagging about so many things.

Also. I am waiting to see the update with my own eyes. Then maybe I will agree if its crap.

Also about mats recipes not being tradeable to grocery....

Its not that big of a deal. Like, if u farm for long periods in low lvl areas u get some gear D C grade which sells for much more than mats and recs.

Someone specifically posted about a specific thing in the patch notes and @Hyunkel commented with a link to THIS thread and locked that other thread.  Your argument is invalid.  This is the designated thread to discuss any and all concerns or hopes for the new patch.

Perhaps you missed the part of the patch notes where it said that ALL gear B and lower will have their NPC prices SIGNIFICANTLY reduced.  Hate the patch, yet?  Also, no...selling 50 recipes for Steel Frame is way more adena than selling a single pair of Low Boots which are wildly less common.  I'm just basing this on the average drops I've seen from RoA with my newest toons, by the way.
