  1. Unfortunately, augments aren't an easy pick buffet. I get p.atk 5% almost all of the time so far, but never pve 5% or p.skill crit damage. Same with p/m skill power. Never get the 15% one. The 10% one comes up more for me.

Most of the time, though, the augments are crap. Stuff no class really benefits from as much. Like Wit +1 that I got 6 different times on Elmore. Will use my last 50 stones today to see if my luck is any better.

can you at least wait until the game servers are no longer utter trash before coming up of more ways to throw away money ?

Why? The servers haven't been completely right for years. That is a constant and not changing any time soon obviously, if ever. That shouldn't stop them from continuing to find other ways to improve other game offerings.

We need a better, faster way to exchange weapons than to wait for Red Libra once a year.

Why not create a Weapon Change service that works like Name Change or Gender Ticket services? Or maybe just add weapon change to one of those existing ticket options? All players would need to do is buy Gender ticket, but submit a ticket to NC Support saying that they want their weapon changed from dagger to bow, or whatever their preference is, not their gender. If demands gets out of control you can limit it to only Bloody/Dark R99 and Bloody/Dark/Limited R110 weapons only.

Is that too hard to implement? You could earn more income for sure that way.

+1 Scam NCsoft also intentionally made Maphr's Luck Shirt +7 Useless in regards to these... Suspect! Shame! Sorry to those who had spent!

Correct, Maphr's Shirt enchant bonus does not apply to No Grade Items. Cloaks are No Grade items.

How much luck has the char with which you tried to enchant,if doesnt reach at least 80 u have rly less to complain.

It doesn't have as much to do with LUC as you think. I have well over 80 LUC. See my thread about 60 scroll fails.

  6. At this point I'm curious to see how many Legendary Scrolls I'll burn to get a Legendary Cloak. I managed to get a Ferios to +10, but I can't enchant it higher and I can't trade/sell it, or move it to my other accounts until it becomes Legendary. Going back two Cloak events ago I've been trying to make it a +10 Ferios Legendary. I'm at around 62 63 64 tries. All fails, obviously. Talk about being on bad side of Korean random.

Anyone else have a similar horror story? Don't want to hear from people that got Legendary on your first 4-10 tries. You're the outliers from where I stand. Want to hear from people that had lots of fails, because I'm sure this must happen to more people. Or does it? :$

Sorry for an eye-bleeder of a post but I think this needs to be brought to the devs' attention.

I read over the patch notes to determine whether or not two particular very expensive recipes would be included in those listed for compensation, but I saw no mention of them -- neither for deletion nor compensation. So I turned to support for clarification. They were very helpful and suggested I bring this to the forums for discussion.

I bought these recipes some time ago -- not when they first appeared in the player-driven market as there was no way I was paying over 3 bil per recipe... but once the price dropped to a little over 2 bil/ea I jumped on them. I'm talking about the Mysterious Soulshot (R-grade) and Mysterious Blessed Spiritshot (R-grade) recipes.

As many of you know, these recipes are hard to find and the MBSPSR recipe is rarely put up for sale either in player shop or the AH. Also, once the MSSR rec dropped to around 500 mil in price I bought them for a couple of clannies.

My point is, I spent over 2 bil on each rec (apart from the latter 2 when the price dropped) and they're not even on the list for compensation. Why is that? And thanks to support, it was confirmed that they're going to be deleted and that they "would not be able to grant...compensation request as this is intended by the Development Team."

I'm sure I'm not the only player who's doled out a large amount of adena for these recs after hunting them down, in my case for the better part of a year and I think it'd be a good idea if the devs added these to the list of ones that will be compensated... not to mention highly appreciated.

Lastly, is there a complete list of the new recipes that will be sold by this new NPC? I'm sure many of us would like to know if the mysterious shots are going to be included on these.

Here's the reply from support in its entirety. I'd like to thank GM SAI for the quick response and clarification.

First, thanks for this timely and informative post. I feel your pain.

But I'm just curious: What do you think would be appropriate compensation for the loss of those recipes? I've never known the GMs to compensate players for items purchased at "market value", or the grossly marked-up price that players set. I've also never known them to recompense anyone for time spent accomplishing any task in game achieving said item. At most they might give something of equal value as the "NPC store price" of the item. But something tells me in this case that is a vastly lower price than the billions that you paid for the recipe. Given that, I'm curious to know what your expectation of service is from NCSoft; what would make you whole?

  8. It wouldn't be the first time that the L2 store sold something that was either (1.) cheaper to find in game, or (2.) players could get something similar, if not better, for free by doing a quest. The store should have a general disclaimer added to the Enhanced Brooch that a quest for one type of brooch is available in game at no cost. If they did that, though, they'd also have to do it for all of the other items that you get for free via quests and leveling up, like R grade soulshots, blessed spiritshots, etc, etc., etc.

But to play devil's advocate, this game has lots of lazy, willfully ignorant players who want things now without having to work too much for them. Those players tend to play this game with their bank accounts and credit cards, so in a way, NCSoft is just appeasing that segment of their consumer base. No point in leaving them out in the cold and not profiting from their need for convenience. :)

    What does it do?

Do you seriously not remember, or are you calling my bluff? If the latter, perhaps you can speak to my Kamael Sigel Shillien Templar (Main) how she got that way nine or so years ago. Before Stone of Destiny that was impossible to do because of the previous restrictions imposed on race/gender/path.

  10. Well, if we're being honest, while there is some difference between a +5 Bloody R110 and a +7 Bloody R99 statistically, especially if you max out the attribute to 450 on the R110, in practical terms you can't really tell a significant difference when you're hunting. You will XP a bit faster, but not OMG PVE WAR MACHINE lightning quick faster. So if you don't want to do the necessary things to upgrade your weapon, don't. Save yourself some adena and keep using the weapon that you have. Or better yet, use the adena to enhance your character in other ways, whether that be through skill enchants or any of the more affordable and less risky ways to increase your damage output rate. As in real life, this game never intended to make everyone equal or equally elite without anyone taking any risks. We'd all still be in caves if that was the case.

You have no idea what the Stone of Destiny did? Also do you even know what was said when the stone was removed?

Yes, I know what the Stone of Destiny did and all of the back and forth at that time. I've been around forever. :)

  12. Amazing how fast things change. Now the "top" isn't Tauti, Bl. Valakas, or Bl. Antharas. Swap out all of those for either Dragon Jewels or the new God's jewels (Paagrio, Sayha, etc.) Lindvior is still a good pick, if you can't get Dragon/God's earrings.

  13. Archers in general require good equipment to XP and are not as good as other classes if you want to farm. I would probably pick a summoner for that. But if you want to play Yul, and you are able to get nice gear, they are one of the best classes to play, no matter which Yul specialty you pick. PVP, PVE, you won't have any problems getting parties.
