honestly it should be tied to the daily reset when all timezones / daily quests etc. get reset just add update ranks to that

No idea why you guys still blame it for the lag! it has NOTHING to do with it!
Either NCWest is downscaling to save a few bucks or the design flaws that our side has are back again as more people/Bots start logging.
the ranking didn't show any stats as everyone was set to NEW initially, what ppl try to say here is the moment it started to compare last posted stats against current aka based on Live data (you know how they show ingame when someone goes up in xp and passes someone in ranking) the lag started to appear
now as mentioned before sure it can be a coincidence but it's a fact there was no crazy lag until last maintenance - NCWest aka @Juji and AWS engineers will know what they did then that caused the server performance to go down the drain.. and honestly there is NO good reason for not rolling back w/e that was as we are fed up with this lag and rather do without w/e was changed period.
this is becoming a really sad story cause I actually had my hopes up and felt cheerful to see the game perform as how it used to be for a mere day and now this again

- BattlePing Ashburn 1 with 95ping - Texas ping was 128 on avg
- after last maintenance it creeped up back to Texas levels
- everywhere & everything, just like how it was on Texas - even the smooth feeling of walking through a town which we had before last change is gone

NC is about to loose a lot more if the lag issue doesn't get solved on AWS either cause then folks will just pack up their things and go to the company that have zero lag at heavy servers aka EU/RU - RU has several servers with population like Chronos and no lag so yeah..

so @Juji when will AWS start upscaling the server ? or what do they have to say for the fact server performance is almost back to Texas levels ?
if AWS tells u its cause of Ranking or too heavy a server aka to many accounts logged you know what to do: disable ranking & greedy chest, block account creation for the duration of the xp event and watch server stabilize within the hr

let me put up my alu hat and quote from another topic how lag returned the moment ranking started working again
could be possible sure but regardless it's a fact we have noticeable lag again

with the upcoming move of the game servers to AWS Ashburn Virginia you can check your ping here https://www.cloudping.info/
it's the first option on the list and for me with using BattlePing from Europe my ping lowers an extra ~14, getting below 100 when Texas without BP is 144~165 (125 with BP) so just on that alone a nice improvement

regardless its a fact markets are messed up atm and NC can easily influence the current shortages by setting up flash sales or l2store promo's that has such items in abundance like bloody/dark armor stones and buff potions etc
without that in the current hyperinflation prices will only go up and products only get more scare..

if real then NC removed the USA shipping only restriction which is good for you but lame for me as they got my amazon account blocked
then again good for my wallet as the 80$ was just to see how it would work or not (my bad for not testing with the lowest possible amount I know) and was going to buy 10x that much but with my account blocked I won't bother anymore

@Juji @Hime please make it very clear it's for USA residents only and on that note also please explain why is that so when majority of your player base is not actually USA.
for other non USA players like me a warning to not bother try buy them as not even with USA Amazon Gift Cards you can do so as still requires a delivery/billing address in USA which you don't see until you're going through the actual payment process and that will trigger anti fraud at check out when your logged IP location doesn't match the entered address information
a special thanks to who ever at NCWest came up with this promo as that person owes me 80$ ;)

@Juji check l2c discord as yes it's creeping back up again so it's time to also apply other stop gap solutions like turn off account creation & greedy chest so both servers will see a huge drop of non real players that consume server resources and cause unnecessary queues (chronos)
also as requested zillion times now by your player base turn off the live ranking update script and make it 1x a day before you turn it back on - mind u really disable all the code behind it as just disabling the visible user interface will not help 1 tiny bit
