so much truth here.  sell your ncoin to hero for crappy adena just to buy over priced item off same hero be cause the gamble risk is too much.

Well, they're actually double-dipping. Not only are they passing on the cost of their failures to unsuspecting players, but they are also over-inflating prices even when it didn't really cost them that much to make that item in the first place. They get you coming and going. 😄 😄

Most will just say it's "good business" and no one is forcing anyone to pay their steep, errr, I mean fair  market prices. But this is a game of market lemmings where everyone starts charging the same high price for the item. Ultimately you end up with a broken economy, even though they don't see it that way. Lots of tech savvy people in this game. Not too many economists, though. lol

  2. Like everything else with this game, if you were lucky enough to get what you needed over a year ago, consider yourself blessed. Everything either costs more now or is harder to get. From enchants to L2 promotions. They are banking on the psychology of players that the harder it is, the more likely you'll become obsessed with trying to get the result you want and keep throwing good money after bad.

The really funny part is that everyone is preying on the newer and/or barely equipped players. It's like L2 went from being a PVP game to an ESG game ("Exploitative Shell Gambit"). 😄

in majority of countries around the world, it is mandatory by law to show the % of getting each reward.
wish US had same law, so we could see that all the top prizes have 0.0000000001% chance

In some states in the US you are required by law -- even if only on a "by request" basis -- to state the number of winners in any gaming/lottery transaction. It's one of the reasons why you see the Powerball and state lotteries show that information after every draw. They don't have to provide names of the winners, but they do show the number of people who won at each level.

NCSoft could do something similar after their promotional events...but they won't.

I still waiting nerf for this skills:  Quick Shot, Pinpoint and Tornado Shot.

So the game will be balanced.

Yuls are meant to be powerful DDs. You can't nerf all of their skills and expect that to remain the case. What you propose would actually lead to a different kind of imbalance.

Besides, as others have said, nerfs won't hurt the really stacked archers. You'll still get 1-shot from most of them. Even with a +10 bow resist artifact. People are upset with archers, but it's really simple game mechanics and NCSoft's pay-to-win sales strategy that keeps introducing more and more items that only make Yuls ever more deadly.

There is no way to get to the level of enchant without failing regardless of bonuses or money.  Even if that was case for 1 how do you have multiple cases of that?  There are not even that many enchants out there that would allow you to do that.

If do a probability or statistically analysis of the chance gf getting to +20 or +25 or +30 it gets 100x times worse every enchant you go up.

If you understand advance math here it is: (Probability was based on a 50%chance of success, Probability A was the chance of 30 successful enchant, I could get more technical but chances it happens is 0.5^30 so you think about infinitesimal small of a chance that is.   Sexdecillionth place is power 51.  1 in a trillion is 12 place btw. :)

    Probability of A occuring 30 time(s) = 0.530 = 9.3132257461548E-10

    Probability of A NOT occuring = (1 - 0.5)30 = 9.3132257461548E-10

Sly, all due respect, this is not my experience. (Or put another way, never tell me the odds! :D )

Before the Restoration Policy ever existed I made a +27 Limited Bow, a +25 Blessed R95 weapon, a +22 R110 Dualswords, a +25 R110 bow, +21 R110 daggers, and other high OE weapons. The Limited Bow would eventually go to +28 when I gave it to my brother to enchant. I've lost count of all of my fails, but I've also lost count of all of my high successes. Again, this is all BEFORE ticket restoration policy was officially implemented. You guys all know about my +30 Limited crossbow, which I no longer have. I stopped enchanting after that.

The simple truth is given enough LUC, adena and gold tickets, anyone can enchant highly. You just have to know when to press your luck and when to stop. Ticket Restoration only makes it easier for people who chase enchants and fail. If people are abusing the system, that's too bad. I am in favor of them getting rid of Ticket restoration altogether. But even if they did that, there would still be high enchants in game. We all know several pretty good enchanters on Chronos who could easily fill up the AH with high OE items if they got bored. The probability isn't as daunting as you imagine.

  6. I'm sure everyone knows this by now, but just in case...

The newer 3 stat Legendary dyes are the way to go. Whether STR or DEX, you still are going to end up potentially spending billions for those old lvl 5 dyes. Might as well save yourself the trouble and get the dyes that boost STR, DEX and CHA, as well as the exact attributes of P. Skill Crit Damage, P. Skill Power, P. Atk or what have you. Plus the new dyes have the added benefit of being able to remove them without losing the dye. Perfect for reusing them on your dual class or other alts. Or reselling them. They hold their original value fairly well.

It's the new meta of the tyrrs, you go for Skill crit rate, Skill crit damage and skill power build. It's equally good for pve and pvp.

This. I got bored playing Yul and started playing Tyr Titan full time. Didn't need to change at all from my p. skill damage/p. skill power build. Works just fine...at least PVE. The only thing that I added (other than weapon, obviously) was an item or two to increase p. def. I didn't need it with mobs I'm hunting, but better safe than....

  8. In fairness, using VP to acquire EP is not the best approach. 1 EP is 50% of your VP bar. Unless a player either doesn't care about XPing with as much VP as possible, or they have lots of free items to replenish vitality in their inventory (like Star Candy), it's better to use Powerful Fish. By now everyone should have a fishing alt. It won't take all that long to obtain plenty of Powerful Fish.

  9. Nice event. Managed to get 110/110 on my main character and my support characters a little over 109 on relatively limited playtime. Another week of this event and I might play my Orc tank for the rest of the year.  The melee lag really is annoying, but at least as a tank I can let others handle most of the killing.

I was actually hoping that they'd not only extend this event, but give us more information on the Dual class to Main split -- or whatever they're going to call it -- that's in the pipeline.

At least you can somehow bypass the melee lag is you're playing tyrr by going the skill crit route. Then you can farm very efficiently work mostly skills and very few normal hits.

Understood. Fortunately, my Yul was already built for p. skill crit damage. I didn't need to make many changes, or buy anything that I didn't already own. What I have is probably overkill anyway for PVE.

My friend tells me that his 106 Tyr  with all buffs and boosts can easily reach 5.5M p. atk. for a few seconds with over 110K HP. I haven't played a Tyr in 2 years. I never thought that they'd get that powerful. Why are people complaining so much about archers with Tyrs like that running around?

I reactivated my Tyr this week and retired my Yul. Things are definitely better than they used to be for the Tyr class, but the attack delay remains a BIG issue.

Can't really give a fair comparison between my Tyr and my Yul, but the Tyr more than holds its own against pink mobs. I'm racing to get it leveled up and stacked before they nerf the class again.

would a present make you stay if the games problems are not fixed?

I'm not quitting either way. Not yet. Maybe when I get bored again.

But I don't play the game for the same reasons that everyone else does. It's probably why this update doesn't bother me all that much. But it bothers the community, including my brother who plays, so I wanted to offer a suggestion that might help smooth over things until real fixes can be made. If they are ever made.

  13. @Hime @Juji

In addition to making hunting zone changes next week, would it be asking too much for you to also consider putting together a complimentary bonus pack that each player can obtain using a code -- the usual 1 per account for a limited time variety? Perhaps an end of Summer bouquet of Eruption pots, Vitality Maintenance pots, 7 day 200% XP runes, or similar swag. And what the heck, might as well throw in 30 day items -- Bloody runes, Boss jewels, Greater Ruby and Greater Sapphire, Shunaiman (sp?) weapon packs, P.atk/Attribute/All Stat +3 talisman and other goodies for the noobs. (Assuming the last update didn't scare them all off.)

Obviously, we're not looking for handouts, merely assurance that this sort of thing won't happen again. I'm sure most of the player base -- except maybe a few grumpy curmudgeons who are never happy -- will appreciate the courtesy, especially if offered with tangible, permanent improvements to the game. Just a thought.

im probably missing some items but mostly those items will boost ur LUC.

Yes, this is pretty comprehensive. Add in the Santa/Christmas I & II talisman and Cloak augment and you've pretty much covered everything. There are also some events that offer buffs that improve LUC, so keep an eye out for those. Not that anyone needs to have all of that to be successful at enchanting, but every little bit helps.

Do u know that u can see (from Rim NPC) a tab with rankers of this instance?.......and guess what? They are all RANGED ATTACKERS......

Agree, Rim was made for ranged to shine. They need to reimagine Rim with different instances for ranged, melee and support classes. And different scoring methods for each group. It's really not fair when an archer only has to move a few steps to be in range -- or at worst, Quick Charge/Evasion to be in attack range. Then one or two arrows and you're on to the next one.

  16. Rim isn't a good measuring stick for anyone, really. The mechanics of the instance work against everyone. I often sit there waiting for mobs to appear. 10, 15, 19, 24 seconds and nothing. And when the bonus mobs spawn is completely random. The other day it seemed like I killed 10 in a row without a Doppler or Void monster spawn.

Rim is a bumbling attempt at orchestrating balance, if I can use that word. Lesser geared players have to face mobs that must be tough enough to also challenge top geared players, But Rim also puts its finger on the scale against top geared players. Slow respawn times pretty much mean that no one is really scoring as much as they possibly can.

Interesting. I don't play Evis, so forgive my curiosity. Do you normally fire off all of your special skills (Dragon Rage, Savage, Taurus BR and Power of Abundance) in the first 3 minutes of the instance all the time? I know BR has a fast reuse time, and Savage can be triggered twice in 10 minutes, but the others can only be used once in an instance. Doesn't that leave you vulnerable later when the mobs are purportedly harder to kill?

Also, I notice that you didn't use your Jump Attack at all to get to more distant mobs faster. Is that normal? Is your jump attack enchanted for distance?

With all of the Dragon weapons out I'm thinking of rolling an Evis.  Appreciate your insights.

Never mind. I've sorted it all out.

  19.  @Juji @Hime Please consider modifying the Dragon  bow/shooter requirement, if possible.

This is a good outcome, albeit temporary, for melee.

    It's even better for mages.

But no question, every Yul that has average, even slightly above average gear is getting the short end of the stick. I see the reason behind it and the necessary cruelty in the design. Still, I think they went too far in requiring 3 coupons.

A Stage 1 Dragon thrower or shooter would help the lesser geared archer tremendously. Let me put that in perspective. I have a +30 Limited Krishna shooter with all the bells and whistles. The basic stats and bonuses (i.e., p.atk, +30% P. Skill Crit. Rate, +30% P. Skill Crit. Damage, etc.)  on a Stage 1 Dragon shooter is better than my weapon. Obviously I don't need the Stage 1 Dragon. The simple fact is archers need more than a top weapon to live their best life in this game. But a weapon like that makes a huge difference for the struggling Yuls out there.

If not one coupon a day, they should have charged no more than 2 coupons a day. That way half the time the lesser geared Yuls could XP and do some of the other things that they don't normally have a chance to do in game. Maybe next week you can help make that a possibility.

This is the Setup i use on my Tyrr Dread to make the best Damage/Exp in Storm isle using a Very Big Spot.

Showing how to pull and showing all the gears/skills/Passive + skills setup to maximize ur Tyrr Damage on skills.

(Using skills provide Over-Hit ---> more Exp)  This setup is very costly, but give an idea of the potential of a Tyrr Warrior in PVE

PS: Pause the video when im showing the items too quickly (if u want to note) :)

Very nice. Maybe the next time Red Libra comes I'll try it out. I imagine finding good places for the DN to spread his wings so to speak is the biggest challenge.
