  1. > Buried deep in the patchnotes:

    • Fixed an issue where normal attack Soulshots did more damage than indicated in the tooltip.

Even if it was an "issue", it was like that for extremely long time, and what you did - you made people who were already farming for many months in certain spots to die on the same spots without changing anything to their gear, level or party.

If something is working certain way AND relied upon by players to the point it is expected as normal operation - you don't just go and "fix" the "issue".

    Please revert this change.

Also, I have to agree that new soul crystals system makes it even worse as with new crystals I get less damage than with old one. Even with top level crystals vs non-top-level runes.

  2. Hi,

Dear @Hime@Juji it was brought to my attention that almost all clans on Talking Island used bug to gain millions of XP and reached lvl 9-10. I've reported this bug, but got standard canned response "we will send it to our QA team".

There is nothing to send - it is just physically impossible to make that many chars and do all necessary raids for all clans who exploited this bug.

My suggestion here is that you should (at least) roll back clan XP levels of the clans exploited this bug to pre-event levels. I'm not even saying banning those who exploited this.

If no actions will be taken - this would be a clear signal that using bugs is acceptable practice.

Could you please comment on that?

Mathematically we have already talked to several players and we understand that bots generate a large circulation of real money, (dollars / Euros or other currency) and without a doubt we think about who really wins with that.

Yes, bots are beneficial for NC. The cash flow in relation to the botters is as follows:

    1. Botters farm adena/items in an automated mode (we all know who we are talking about, even NC, but NC just turns blind eye)
    2. They sell adena/items for real money
    3. If they are not desperately in need of rice (and they are not, as lots of them live in poor countries and one Baium 3 will feed their whole family for a year), they buy loot boxes from NC.
    4. NC has money, can report to HQ their "tremendous financial results".
    5. Also, bot population increases online numbers for their reports.

These people also went as far as blatantly exploiting bugs in the game (getting into castle without breaking walls or gates and casting it, for example), doing DoS attacks on those who want to stop them by dropping thousands of arrows in the farming spots or even in towns.

Problem here is that NC does not understand one simple thing here: if you will be customer-centric and not pocket-centric, you will actually get more money - listen to your customers, do the right stuff and you will regain customer base. I can bet you will - if you take a look at illegal servers and how they listen to their customers - NC is quite the opposite of "customer oriented" company. Why illegal servers have more population, more action, more interesting events, content, etc and less bots (or even none) than official servers? Even if we will take official L2 in russia - there is no bots, or at least they don't survive long enough to actually negatively affect gameplay.

Do the right things and players will chose to go to official servers rather play on some random illegal ones with uncertain destiny (wipes, etc). Turn your brain on, please, NC.

While on Giran server - I can see very same ponies in RoA and AC, for example, which I saw there more than a year ago. Exact same characters. If it was some lvl 90 with VIP100500 - I could have understood that - eventhough in ToS they write they do not allow botting, but for highly-paying customer they could have turned blind eye (which would be also sad, but it would be at least explainable).

NC, please stop killing the game. You are technically robbing yourself with this approach. You can earn much more money by doing things right.

Can someone please tell me where can i spoil recipe quality leather aka crafted leather in this not so classic server?

    l2wiki is outdated

Plus why my 50k ssc vanished from my bag.

So many changes since i last played.

    Kamaels in game really?

This doesnt feel classic at all.

*Spoil rates doesn't bother me. Everything else does 😘

Recipe: Quality Leather is from Diry Wyrm in SoS (~1/9 proba spoil)

They removed soulshots grades, removed ability to craft soulshots, made soulshots non-tradable. So mostly we, dwarves, are useless now :|

As for the Kamaels - I think by the last adequate chronicle (Hi5) there were Kamaels already, no?

  5. 1. Because it is impossible to reliably AFK XP/farm with low number of windows. You don't want to depend on other people for your farm unless absolutely necessary. You will understand this as you will progress through levels.

    2. Limit of number of clients per PC is useless from technical perspective - this will cause problems only for legitimate players, while those who are using bots won't care at all about this limit, as they have a way to circumvent this limit or not using client at all.

    3. Worst case scenario for them (and for legit players) would be increase of contribution to global warming - they will have to buy more PCs (often old ones and not power-efficient) to run clients. You can buy L2-capable PC which is able to run 10 clients on eBay for around 100-200. Or, if they are serious farmers and there would have been a way to really prevent running more than 10 clients - they could go virtualization path and run as many VMs as they want.

So, again, limiting number of clients is pointless. Won't solve a problem you are talking about.

We have another fix we received today for next week that addresses the issue where party members did not receive L2 Coins if they dealt zero damage.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The servers are now up! Please let us know if you experience any unusual character delays.

    Thanks a million! Appreciate it!

He said it would be fixed, he did not said who would or wouldn't get the coins, so maybe they are already turning it to random.

Same "fix" was deployed to RU Classic. Tested there - only DDs are getting L2 coins.

Seems they misunderstood what the problem was and this comes from the fact that they are mostly focused on Essence (and probably a bit on live) and in these versions everyone is DD. And these new developers they've hired just don't know that supports (usually) do not do any damage.

Thanks, but that is not what is broken.

What is broken is that party members who do not hit mobs at all (you know, supports, that's type of role in party - bishop, SE, EE, WC, etc) are not getting L2 coins.

Before you broke it - every party member was randomly getting L2 Coins, not only those dealing damage.

I would appreciate if you could fix that.

    Thanks in advance!
