  1. /target DD /target DD /cast buff /cast buff - repeat this up to 5 times to fill your 12 lines /target Char2 (Out of EXP range) /target Char 2 /delay xyz There. Now you have an in-party buffer who doesn't take EXP Or, as above, use MyTele setup to pop in and out. This is more expensive/day, but saves you lines in your macro, so it's better. And presumably when you're in ToI having spent all that money on gear, a few bucks a day on scrolls isn't going to break the bank.
  2. We've tried using ticketing system. You get a few canned responses and the person in question is told about who reported them (this seems like it would be against one policy or another, right?), so they can take revenge (a very nice continuation of the reported behavior.) Good stuff, NCSoft. It seems you're hell-bent on killing your cash cow; you're certainly making every effort
  3. That's the general sense I'm getting, too. Paying and non-paying customer concerns are simply dropped in the "suggestion box," which is promptly ignored. The new PvP/PK system is a great example; it was an ill-conceived system which only benefitted the top 1-2 players in Classic, no one asked for it and all the clearly articulated feedback has simply been ignored.
  4. 1 geared Orc can kill raids as solo DPS. Just need more people to hit to break barriers they put in (need xyz number of hits to break barrier, isn't damage-related.) Tank is nice for raids to tank adds, but your DDs will pull threat on the main boss and Vamp Rage back the damage they take. Playing solo is VERY challenging, especially if you intend to play only one char. Lineage 2 has always been a game that revolves around buffs. Most top players box a tank if they need it, mostly out of party for Chain Pull & Crowd Control. The current high-end Meta is that everyone runs 1-2 (pony) nukers and 8-9 buffers, lol.
  5. Elemental zones do not drop adena or spoils because the EXP there is much higher and the mobs are much easier. Stay in Ele zone until 78-79. Then try to find a spot in a catacomb for spoil/adena
  6. "7) Most importantly, the forum is flooded with threads all saying the same thing as this thread, why dont we have an official statement about the situation? Are they willing to at least discuss and maybe optimize the current changes to something that makes sense? Alot of people are currently considering to quit for a while after the exp event ends to see how things turn out. Please elaborate on this situation and what can we expect moving forward." This. I'm just going to keep spamming these forums for a bit until we get some sort of response. If not, I'll take my thousands of entertainment dollars a month elsewhere, thanks much
  7. Can also PK without worry. Can't drop items to players anymore They implemented a system that didn't need to be updated, only to realize you could make people go red without them being there. So they quickly added: "Can't drop items when red" to fix a problem that didn't need to exist in the first place Now, I can make someone PK me, PK their buffers and let them die to mobs. I can farm Rival clans for gear while they're AFK. Fair and Balanced?
  8. Additional issue for looping parties who want to protect themselves from PKers: You HAVE to set Taunt/PC to protect from Chaotic players. Rival Clans' WHITE players will be targeted and you will kill them. This will make your char Chaotic (Red) You can't drop items to players killing you anymore. Cool. BUT you can still drop items to mobs. As @Ingwaz pointed out above, ANYONE can now flag ANYONE else, unless they're untagged (not in a clan). So all the player who just made you red has to do is flag your buffers, kill them without penalty and let your red char die to mobs: Or, because strong players rarely EVER die to mobs and will no longer drop gear to player deaths, they can just PK all your buffers without fear of losing their gear: Free Gear Farm, voila! I doubt this was intended. These PvP changes were unnecessary and caused SO many issues.
  9. @XxSeveNxX Since this thread got derailed by someone who seems less informed than some of us: Necro is an excellent class. It has 2 viable nukes between CDL and Spike. Spike has the same Matt modifier that all summoner's nukes have I believe. CDL is obviously a scaling damage option. Mig runs about about 40% HP and CDLs just fine in LoA; he's geared though Necro isn't as versatile as some nukers. SPS/Sorc get AoE sleep and nukes, etc. However, with its Gloom debuff, Reliable Pet Stun and Transfer Pain, it is a VERY solid class At the higher end of play, Necros do shine in AoE, as their Corpse Burst is the hardest hitting AoE nuke in the game. Although you can't spam it, it adds strong AoE potential Please do consider closely that leveling and EXPing a Necro is SIGNIFICANTLY more costly than running ANY other class if you rely on Death Spike. @miguelsan might be able to give you an accurate % increase in cost I hope the above is helpful! Glad you're playing L2 with us! Come say hi if you're planning on playing Talking Island Server *Edit:* If you're looking for a less expensive option, Phantom Summoner and Elemental Summoner are both VERY strong Single target nukers in their own right. They hit just as hard as the Necro and other casters, and both have Transfer Pain. Either has strengths, although most folks tend to lean towards Ponies, as, although they have less base INT, they have the Pony Nuker Buffs at 79+ (These buffs are an ABSOLUTE MUST for any caster)
  10. I have 3 decently geared level 85 chars. I currently EXP in BOTH LoA and ToI with 2 different strong classes. Miguelsan, who posted above you, is a level 86 Necro CDLing in LoA, doing 30bil EXP an hour EXPing a mage in ToI is dumb. LoA is Very Weak to M att, ToI has high Mdef. It seems you're just naming high level zones because they sound difficult? To be honest, the average player won't ever see LoA or ToI. DV is a pretty good high-end zone for mid-range geared players. And yes, CDLing in Ele zones is a perfectly legitimate way to make decent EXP if you don't spend a lot on the game I think I've got a good handle on what's what, friend. How about you?
  11. @Hime and @Juji Update to my previous post. It is now clear that ANY clan can mark ANY other clan as Rival and Debuff them at will This means NO ONE will be able to play as before. I can simply mark ANY clan as my Rival and grief them until they quit EXPing, raiding, playing or simply make them quit the game. I can cast SPS/Sorc Cancel to ruin their buffs and let them die to mobs, etc etc etc etc How did this get into the game? Can we please have a discussion on why the devs felt it was a needed change in L2 Classic?
  12. Necro is MUCH better in PvP than any other nuker. This is due to Transfer Pain, which is just silly OP (50% damage reduction, yes please) Expensive to level unless you can comfortably CDL
  13. Don't worry, they "fixed" their bad "fix". Red players now no longer drop items when killed by other players. OOPS though, now they just bring their strong mains to PK your support and let you die to mobs while you're red. It's cool, they won't drop their gear, but you will. Get ready to get farmed for your gear, friend. Grief incoming.
  14. I am not in the habit of posting on these forums. More updates have been more or less positive. I've been happy with the direction taken by the dev and GM teams. However, this change will be hardcore abused by strong players @Hime and @Juji - I urge you to take this seriously. It is a serious oversight. Not having significant repercussions from endlessly PKing players less geared/leveled than you is absurd. 10k max Karma can be cleared in a matter of minutes. It encourages bullying and endless griefing. Having a risk of dropping items when killed by players is the ONLY reason PKers stop at low PKs. My characters are reasonably geared and leveled. I'm including myself in the group who would be able to abuse this change. I will be able to stay red, tank MANY chars and endlessly grief/PK characters below my level of gear, without any concern for losing my high value gear. If I die, I'll just use one of my 2000 Brezzes and continue griefing I enjoy this game's PK/PvP/PvE systems. However, this SINGLE change will make me and other high spenders consider leaving the game. Address this or risk losing a significant number of high paying customers. *Edit* I understand that this is in tandem with the "attack white players in rival clans if you're on auto-hunt" change I believe is being implemented. You should NEVER auto-attack white players. EVER. Remove that change, and this PK update will be made redundant. Consider this: I am in a clan tagged as rival by another clan. I take off my gear, am white and run up to an auto-hunting rival. They kill me, go red. I can repeat this endlessly, getting them over 4 pks easily. I then train mobs onto them or stun their healers/buff the mobs they're fighting, etc etc (get them killed by mobs) and steal their gear with ABSOLUTELY NO DECISION ON THEIR PART. How is this balanced?
