Amount of gear

Hello guys, since hero coins and gifts was very good suggestion of mine back in the days i have another one. Since i like l2 i will share my very valuable ideas with you )).

Flooding toons with insane amount of new items is not best idea. It makes very hard to control and reequip items. I understand you interested in money otherwise why run this game right. We live in capitalism which my opinion is a little meh system but better than 100% socialism :D . Anyway i think you should focus more of upgrade ingredients for existing items rather adding new ones. Effects of skills, animation of possessed item , upgraded item skills and etc u got the point. But thats just me.  U know better ofc :D

In Japan there is for example a system where you can upgrade Dark or Bloody armors to combined ones:

But the developers felt that by introducing more and more new items which people feel compelled to buy because their competition might also buy them, much more money can be extracted from the player base. So this was never introduced in any other territory.

Today it's Zodiac Agathions, next month it will be Sayha's Talismans, and around Easter we will get Beleth's Forgotten Spellbooks. A never ending escalation at ever increasing prices, all the way until the game gets shut down. Prepare your wallet!

xD

So this already over the top p2w game is not even the full capacity of greediness there's another level and with the amount of must have items that you can only purchase through ncstore is a way of Developers saying "We Care". We have such an amazing and caring developers and GMs lmao I just couldn't stop smirking while writing this one i don't know why lmao

No m8 u misunderstood what i said. Im saying for example add item required to evolve already existing item such as insanity talisman>to something else and better with skills or passives with new looks and appearances. What i mean is evolving consumable which would change item itself. So characters getting updated and players do not get this insane item flood where one can  be lost for days :D. Its like open brooch  there are 6 jewels which has to be swapped accordingly every time encounter enemy or pve or pvp. then those agations again same thing open and again bunch of slots . If game will continue develop this way in few years we end up with 25 slots on character with opening slots 5 each  25*5.

Idk kinda wrong way to go my opinion .

We might actually be talking about the same thing :)

On the left side of the screenshot you can see that when a Japanese player gives Shadai a Dark Eternal Breastplate, an already existing item, plus 9 Dark Eternal Enhancement Stones, 19,104 Crystals R-Grade etc., Shadai gives him back a Dinato Breastplate which has both PvP and PvE bonuses, i.e. you will find it easier to hunt and level up your character, while at the same time being able to PvP for your hunting spot.

The problem from NCsoft's point of view is that all items required to upgrade Dark or Bloody armors can be farmed in-game. Since Japan, like all Asian territories, is pay-to-play from lvl 85 onwards, NCJapan does make some money from that system. It simply takes time to farm 144 Giant's Energies via the Olympiad Starter quest, and that time is being paid for by the player. Nevertheless, selling to the player base new items every few months via the L2Store is far more profitable. A two-day subscription for the Olympiad on Friday and Saturday will cost you 200 Yen aka 2 US dollars for an account with up to 7 characters:

Making high-level Brooch Jewels for PvE and other Brooch Jewels for PvP will cost you much more, and therefore upgrading existing items into anything useful has been ruled out by the powers that be :D

By the way, Aram from Rochand found an online petition Korean players are directing to President Moon Jae-in at the moment where precisely that problem - pushing out new L2Store items every few months which make the items from half a year ago obsolete - is addressed:

If you have any Korean friends, direct them to the president's website and ask them to sign the petition. I personally have my doubts whether it will have any effect - after all, NCsoft is paying taxes on their huge revenue - but it's worth a try.
