  1. You should play L2 Revolution. Has all the stuff you're asking for. And, there's auto hunt. Problem: Android/iPhone. But, great on a tablet or a machine that can emulate android apps.
  2. Some notes: Modeling based on a 71 melee toon with VR, killing about 10 MOBS per minute (6 seconds from encountering (running to) MOB and defeating it). AND the player density is fairly low. It's not Silent Valley. Multiply everything by 2 or 3 if you are in SV because of the density issues. Extracting benefit from items with time use constraints can make one irritated if they feel like their resources are just being siphoned away. The VR is an important factor I forgot because HPot usage is negligible at best. The big eaters of resources are obviously the SS, Spirit Ore (problem if you don't have some sort of Sayha's up), and Sayha Consumption when it's up. Yes, there is free stuff in the game, I know this. I used a lot of it to get far without spending $222 where I am at now. But, if I want to sustain this pace and bonus, it's gonna cost a lot per month.
  3. TLDR: Keeping up 530% bonus exp with buff scrolls (patk, pdef) will cost roughly cost $55 a week ($220 a month) playing consistently 24 hours per day. For a month: (@ 1 NCoin = $0.0125) $75.04 Scrolls (Buying every 4 days) $90.00 Sayha Pack (buying every 5 days) $57.60 Soulshots (can buy whenever assuming you have NCoin) TOTAL: $222.64 Remember paying $15 a month in classic? WHERE did these estimates come from? Well, I did some basic modeling, assuming: How fast one kills (MOB kills per minute and per hour) Soulshot usage (roughly 3000 SS per hour) Sayha Degeneration Scroll Time Duration Sayha's Storm Usage & Sayha's Blessing Usage (Spirit Ore - have to buy in game and generate adena in game) Of course this doesn't include costs for Agathions, or any of the other character enhancing gear from the store OR finding creative ways to buy the stuff one/you want[s]. Now, here are some issues with what's going on: Items like patk, pdef scrolls - doesn't matter what you do or where you are. After 20 minutes, they're bye bye and you have to refresh. Same with Sayha's Storm to get that additional 200% xp/sp bonus. Resources that generate/degenerate due to MOB death (Sayha, Lamp, Crafting Points, etc.) are affected by kill speed. So for the items that have a time component to them, here's the challenge people have to decide for themselves: Is it worth it to spend this kind of money given hunting ground density? Or are we literally throwing money away? If we're throwing it away and we know we are, ok, no problem. But I guess where I am ultimately going with all this is to quantitatively draw a picture that directly affects the wallet. I am still surveying if it's worth it. I am on the fence. I like the auto-hunt feature, but I don't know if it's worth $222 a month for me to maintain that. That is just ME. I think of all the other things I could buy. P.S. I don't know why there is a straight up linear growth rate on exp to next level. With diminishing returns, I really think this should be a non-linear growth rate, something in the realm of ln(x). There's other things that could be tweaked. I mean, sure, everyone has their ideal game. Will anyone ever find it? Maybe.
  4. Well, yes - do you want a short term benefit or a long one? Depends on your preferences. But that's the fun in all this to an extent: it's fleshing out the time-inconsistency problem. But, that is not a bad way to look at it and if you like the benefit, keep doing it. How sustainable it is to play solely from rewards in the game, well... That light at the end of the tunnel might be a train...;)
  5. Buy some and then sell to the Dorf's at the top of the stairs in Aden. You've just bought something useful.
  6. Well, unless you run a bunch of gold farming alts, Devianne's reward structure isn't that inspiring past the mid 60's. 300K for 45M exp - worth it? That's for everyone to make their own call on. Given that the game during leveling is a never ending tradeoff war between exp and gold, these sorts of tradeoffs are hard to justify in my mind. One quick way to figure it out - see how long it takes to generate 45M exp. points just through hunting alone. Then, that gives you an idea of what you're paying for if you hand Devianne over your adena. So if 300K only costs you like 15 minutes in time to get the same exp BUT it takes an hour to generate 200K, then Devianne sounds like a really bad deal unless you're swimming in adena. The frustration with crowding out is real.
  7. Yeah, I don't think it is one bit. So far, and the math says so - 1,219,200,000 Exp. Points to go from 71 to 72 with each mob giving 0.0039% per, at 47625 exp. points per. That old classic data isn't anywhere close to current reality in L2Aden. I appreciate the attempt, but that classic data is way outdated.
  8. If they've stayed exactly the same, and it says somewhere (not just because you said so) in the documentation that it is for Aden, then that's useful and helpful and then I would thank you.
  9. That's for Classic - old data. I'm looking for the updated one for Aden, not classic. Why would you post Classic data for Aden/Essence on an L2 Aden Forum? Now, if things have stayed exactly the same.
  10. Anyone happen to have a bead on where this might be? Thank you in advance? Basically want a list showing how much exp is earned going from level n to level n+1.
  11. Based on how many in-game hours per day? Running 24/7? Need parameters.
  12. Yes, and all of that contributes to crowding out. You're definitely right about the alts, but - if they allow it, well, we have to live with it or quit I guess. Or we complain. Anything where there is competition for resources (exp, adena) and supply (MOB by density and spawn rate) is constricted, and demand is greater than supply, what do you get? Well, it's like demand-pull inflation. Problem is, unlike Fiat currency, which is flexible, more content isn't as easy to implement. But given this incarnation doesn't have all the content zones that Classic had from C3 on, and they DO have the meshes and code - I can't imagine it would be that hard to, let's say, make Blazing Swamp functional again. No new content to write/dev. No new skins. Update loot tables, instantiate the MOBS, and off you go...
  13. Yes, I imagine that will be a problem, especially if you want to grow a player base. I'm insanely curious how far NCSoft can push the envelope before most people say, "Forget it." Then, you have a situation on the Classic Servers. *crickets* I read it's so bad there, they don't even do Oly.
  14. They've mucked around with the system so much that they don't understand their own major design flaw: People want consistent forward progress that is meaningful (fun for most - subjective on a granular level). But, instead, it's grind, grind, grind, and in that condition, yes, people will look for all sorts of advantages to move faster. Whether or not they want to PAY for it is another matter.
  15. TLDR: Add more hunting grounds for toons 60+ WHY? Crowding out works like this. Let's say you're at a big party, you drank a lot, and now you need to use the facilities. PROBLEM: There is only one bathroom and the line is 20 people long. Look no further than Silent Valley (Cruma, etc.) for this effect to be taking place. People don't spend a lot of time in Sea of Spores. They get their quick levels and move on to the next zone. But with diminishing returns, you will see more and more clustering in zones where it takes more time to level. Even with manner mode off, there are so many in that area, it's near impossible to get full exp or adena drops. What will end up happening? Will more zones open up? Will the spawn rates increase? Will people just end up quitting, which will reduce player density? Thoughts? Nothing like watching your toon bounce back and forth between mobs with manner mode on...
  16. Baium. Actually getting to the top back then before scrolls... And the fight was no joke. Not like Antharas, but it was doable and fun.
  17. Old Kain Player here myself (6/2004). So I am reading these posts and the nostalgia lasts for a little while. Interesting stuff as of now: Blazing Swamp is dead like it was in C2, but at least there are skins on the terrain now. But I digress. The real interesting mechanic is the magic lamp - it's a way to take some of the sting out of the grind. However, diminishing returns make themselves known in the 60's making leveling a bit of a chore when it comes to the lamp. It's really great at lower levels - but you'll ALL see the diminishing returns eventually. But I typically only use the lamp recharge in Transcendent Dungeons - by the time I am done with 1 run in the high 60's, I have 8-10 lamp attempts. This is how you can get through problematic spots on the hunting journey - but again, even these rewards diminish and don't give the same "umph" at let's say level 50 compared to 65. I'm willing to try some stuff out in the store, etc., to see how this experience plays out. The adena nerf is interesting - though I suspect farmers will just price in the L2Coin/Store expenses to have solo farming teams operate. It's an interesting switch of expenses - forcing people to have "skin in the game." Before, you'd pay a subscription, you get access to the game and all its content, no resource nerfs, etc. Your upfront cost was buying the game (Old L2), plus $15 a month, and with GoD, there was none. But the changes in how adena flows in and out of the system will prevent the kind of adena inflation that has destroyed previous incarnations of this game. Now, in order to be "profitable," one would have to price in the cost of maintaining Sayha just to earn said adena. How this translates into growing a player base, I do not know. This system reminds me of those people who go to college for the first time, take economics, and later realize it was a "weed-out" class to filter out those who just were not prepared. This seems similar and I would not be surprised if the churn rate is as such it's no longer profitable to even run these servers. INTERESTING NOTE: Windows 11 will natively run Android Apps. No BlueStacks. Try Lineage 2 Revolution - F2P and P2W, but the reward structures are more in line with what one should expect if they're spending money. We as a community have to demand that NCSoft NA tweak and change things so the server "works" versus having 200 people who seem to have no cares about disposable income. You see, these sorts of folks don't help the game - they destroy it. Why? Because this IS a competitive game by nature - always someone to be better than (unless you're a hero). Now it may be a solo heavy game, but raids and castle sieges, cannot be done solo (you can try - tell me how long you live). Games were meant to be played by 2 or more people. Escaping the social aspect of online play is a sort of non-sequitur. Why not just install it on our systems and just play solo with no one else around? I don't know - we shall see how things play out. I imagine for the 90% that are playing right now - and this is a guess - I bet most would uninstall right now if they were told they had to spend $25-50 a week minimum to have any sense of consistent forward progress. This game in its current form is limiting what people can do and not quite delivering enough of an incentive to even want to spend more. Yes, I am sure NCSoft is upset at all the farming companies that made millions off of their IP and they saw a very small fraction of that. But, L2R? In 2019, it had already been out a year, but had earned more revenue in that year than all of Lineage 2 Classic and Live combined since they both went live. We're talking over $100M in one year's time. Think about that. RIP War System.
  18. The game describes some of what's in there...this is the item for 5000 L2Coin. But not what is in that separate box (lv. 65) Anyone know what is in that separate box? Thanks in advance
