  1. Do I sense a hint of superiority complex? Calling a complete stranger on the internet "dearie" and "poor thing" says a lot more about you, than about the person you know nothing about, you know... I, for one, find it curious how a simple conversation with logical arguments opposing your request triggers what looks like a defense mechanism associated with feelings of inferiority, but that's for you to consider. How do you know what other people consider "fun"? Why do you try to impose your notion of fun to others? I find no fun in spending half of my free time (which i have extremely little of) trying to find a party, which brakes after 30 minutes for various reason and then i have to start all over again. I'd rather spend that time with my family, if that's ok with you... Why should everybody play the way you want, and not in a manner that caters both to you, and the others? In case my arguments were not clear: the 3 client limit rule does NOT force people who don't want to play in a party, do that, just like DarkSingularity pointed out (why would you even want to play with people forced to play with you by a rule you ask for?). It also does NOT change the fact that most of the game turned into a mindless press of a series of buttons, that no sane person would ever subject him/herself to, aknowledged even by the devs who introduced the auto-hunt system. I played the game when active play was the only option, and it is NOT that game anymore, the only option is to get used to it. I get it, you are lonely, you seek companionship, but L2 is not the place. This game is extremely competitive, and requires a lot of resources in order to keep progressing (may they be money, time, planning, strategy). Just find a group of people that share your opinions and considerations about the time spent in the game, and let the others (the majority) play the way they want also. The way I was raised, it is considered impolite to talk down to people, even more so without even knowing them. Not to mention trying to forcely impose your opinion without addressing the rational reasons in the conversation. But what do I know, I'm just a poor thing that's been waiting to be taught what "fun" is, right?
  2. I don't know about you, but most people have jobs, obligations, families, hobbies, sports, generally called a life outside this automated grind game. Other than that, there is no situation outside pvp (and maybe some end-game content), but none whatsoever, where playing manually outperforms a macro. Active play is gone, since those long gone days you mention, things have changed and we are playing a different game, either we like it or not. It is not possible, effective or even sane to play activelly in a farming party. What do you expect, people to set up a party, turn on the macro and then sit in front of the monitor and stare at it in order to have your active play? That can't be right in any scenario you can think of, for any normal person... Do you need to communicate with people, are you looking for socializing? There are far better options than the l2 chat, trust me... Regarding the party matching, is it emptier now than before the raise of the limit? Obviously not, and it will stay the same even with 1 client limit. And the reasons for that are quite simple for anybody who uses half of brain: first one, for the reasons above it is not efficient, and secondly, you depend on other people in a party, and that is not a situation you can control. People get d/c, leave without announcing or you simply can't find replacement, and you end up spending more time trying to put the party together than actually playing, or even more. Is this right? Maybe not, but you need to farm 24/7 in order to get anywhere in this game, and that simply can't be done the way you want it. Since you mention nothing of the other aspects of the game that require multiple clients (I imagine they are of no interest to you, but quite necessary for the game), may I suggest as a solution to your discontent finding a constant party? People generally don't need more than 3 chars in order to avoid actively looking for parties, and people who what to play more, simply get a cheap machine to run them, it's not the 3 client limit that stops them. Any way you look at it, the client limit does not influence active gameplay or party forming, and does not affect people who want to play by themselfs. What you ask for will not get you what you want, and simple evidence is that the situation was not different when the 3 client limit was in force.
  3. As right as that may be, killing the solution does not solve the problem. The game requires you to play multiple chars in order to advance, no question there: party matching is empty so you need more than 1 char to farm / you need to make adena, so you need a few shops / you need mats for upgrades, so you need a few fishers / you need recharge stones, so you need to level mentees. You don't need to play multiple chars only if you accept you will never advance at a decent pace or you are willing to pay a lot of money for it. So we have a problem, the way the game is designed forces a player to play multiple chars, and the only decent solution is the 10 client limit, and what do you ask for? Kill the solution and keep the problem... Sorry, but that doesn't make sense. On the other hand, the 3 client limit was introduced in an attempt to eliminate melee lag - it didn't, therefore the client limit does not generate lag! The other 2 versions have the same limit - no lag there (once again proof that the client limit is not the cause for lag)! Devs themselves tested and the result was clear - 10 client limit does not generate lag! Raising the client limit does not necessarily increase the number of chars, since people (including myself) were already playing multiple toons from more laptops (3 in my case) - the only certain result is no more using multiple laptops in order to play the same number of chars.
  4. You forgot to change accounts and replied to yourself. He's saying you can get the same boosts ingame from other items to actually make up for what you lost with no prestige.
  5. I don't get it, how are these pictures of weapons supposed to prove if the feoh class will be good or not?
  6. @Hermes Can we please get an answer about the Prestige Pack? Will it be moved to Einhasad Shop or will it be removed?
  7. Mate, you really have a problem with feoh, it's getting personal, you should get that checked because it's starting to get weird. I mean, you took a lot of time to read and write about it, against all evidence and general accepted opinion, against an announced change even, maybe you should rethink how you organise your time... Everybody, and I mean literally everybody accepted already feoh is a broken class, and not in the good way: people playing feoh, people playing other dds, people playing support, even the developers of the game ffs, and you keep beating on the dead horse. People came here saying they farm better on their box iss (i saw that personally) but you still write all over the forum against changing the feoh. I can understand getting the wrong idea from what you read on the net, but I don't get why you keep ignoring everything anybody writes here on the subject, and keep writing wall of texts that keep getting longer and longer about something you have 0 practical experience about.
  8. Maybe a limit can be set to the afk shops also, or maybe another solution can be found, but it's getting ridiculous when you have to choose one between farming/trading/fishing even though the game pushes you to use all 3 in order to progress. On the other hand, I doubt that guy with 30-50 accounts has any trouble logging them all in, even now after the fix
  9. So, even though you are comparing aoe skills so st skills, is it fair to conclude that even after the update the feoh class is not even remotely comparable to dk/dagger? The difference I see in dmg numbers is beyond huge, I mean the magic classes are barely putting a dent in the hp bar, with no chance to ever kill it, while dagger/dk kill it like it was elpy... It doesn't really look like a revamp to me, not even talking about balance... maybe I'm missing something?
  10. I guess we will see how many people knew of this and actually used it at the next attendance event, which will also impact the effectiveness of the event itself. While I can understand the arguments of people asking for this restriction to remain for reasons regarding the gameplay of a mmorpg (eg. opportunity for supports or less equipped people to find party and progress) , I can't understand why this rule also has to apply to the economy part of the game, like setting up shops and fishers. Even illegal servers found a solution to this problem many years ago, when you could set up offline shops, why does the official version of the game punish people who extend their gameplay beyond farming, and forces anyone who wants to explore every aspect of the game to buy additional laptops for such activities which have no direct impact on the active play?
  11. @Wissp Well, maybe in the spirit of improved engagement and increased communication, we can have an answer to this question from our Community Manager. I think a major update such as the one people talk about on forum is a pretty important issue and any official Information about that would only benefit both players and staff.
  12. Could we get any info on this patch, maybe an ETA, for an improved communication? https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/26704-feohs-update-korean/ It's already announced in Japan for Summer 2023, so communication on this matter wouldn't be a novelty for L2.
  13. I don't know on what you based your statement, but if you had actually accessed the link in the first post you would have seen the OP quoted from Korean server patch notes in the maintenance announcement from April 19th. There was even a follow-up on the feoh update during the following week, based on the devs observations on the feoh performance on the server after the update was implemented. There is even another post that discussed the changes to feoh on Korean server, which had a link to an youtube video with the feoh gameplay after the patch: https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/26459-more-critical-damage-for-mages/page/3/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PeYKjWz3g0 So basically this is not a matter of ''if'', but ''when'' it will come to our servers, seeing that the clear disadvantage of the feoh class was acknowledged and addressed by the game developers, and there is actually no reason to maintain the unbalanced situation on the other servers. But maybe you have some different info you would like to share?
  14. You may be sarcastic, but they are indeed doing a great job for their employer, seeing that their job is to produce income and profit, and not (necessarily, until the point it reflects in the generated income) to keep the player base happy. https://forums.lineage2.com/topic/26727-please-guys-post-here-what-u-got-from-these-new-boxes/ As you can see people keep saying that the situation is unacceptable and that they are going to quit playing, or at least stop spending, but in fact they jump to the chance to spend money on the same sales they call scams. This way the company generates income, but the "sales" do not allow the players to progress too much, up to a point they consider spending big amounts of real money not necessary any more.
  15. I can't say i have an explanation for the party setup he/she uses, and also i can't comment on the kill speed or compare to other dd's, but from the video you can see there are 3 dd's in the party that don't actually do any dmg (2 feohs and 1 summoner who just stand there by the side without acting) and 1 iss only who is domi and only uses vop, so could easily be out of party, so basically all the other chars could be dismissed from the party without affecting the result.
  16. For the second part, regarding Jamoa boxes, Boil summed it up pretty well. As for the first part, you have your answer in the Maintenance post
  17. @SoniaTrevi Still think mages are very powerful and support classes need to deal more dmg? This guy is farming better on his less equipped iss than on his main toon feoh. I also had a friend who's main iss was doing almost as good as my main feoh, only he was few levels lower. This is the state of feoh, pve wise, i'm not talking about pvp since you need to sell your house to even think about trying pvp as a feoh. Sadly, some people still think mages are very powerful and need no change, and more dmg should be given to supports...
  18. Like i said in my first post, i agree that something needs to be done for support classes, i agree that they are becoming impossible to play as main and people just dual box them, but giving them the same damage as top dds is certainly not the solution. I mean, if you had the option to play a class that deals the same dmg as the top dd of the moment, but at the same time it can heal itself and all party like the best healer, why would you play a pure dd? Ironically, the question is not even hypothetical any more, since dk was introduced... A dk alone, which is a tank, farms xp and adena a lot better than a feoh a few levels higher and with way better gear that has a few support classes in party, how is this fair to you? Do you actually want that to happen to all support classes? Anyway, i may have made myself misunderstood, i'm not against improving the gameplay for support classes, i actually fully agree with that (i tried to play dominator as main class, and failed miserably), but this is not the subject of this topic. As to the actual topic, just try, or ask a friend who has a high level feoh to try to farm some instances (toi, atellia, ios) or world zones (beast farm, etc) in the same conditions as an equally geared tyrr or yul or even the support class dk, and you will see that at this stage, feoh is not a support class, but it can not perform properly it's role as a dd either.
  19. 'Resistance' may occur when performing or receiving magical attacks. Physical attacks are only affected by defense, but Magic attacks generate 1/2 'resistance' according to probability prior to magic resistance, Additional damage may be reduced. With this setting, it is judged that magic attacks receive an additional penalty compared to physical We plan to remove the resistance probability and reorganize it so that only magic resistance is affected. ● UPDATE 02: Magic Critical Probability Correction Magic has a lower critical rate compared to physical, The characteristic is designed to give a large one-hit damage when a critical is activated. However, it was determined that this setting halved the efficiency and fun of the current magic class. Therefore, we plan to alleviate magic critical hurdles by distributing the balance that is focused on skill power and effects. This is from Korean L2 forum. But hey, he's only the director of Lineage 2 development room, he can't be right, can he? Nah, he doesn't know lineage 2 as well as we do, right? It's clearly only LACK of mage gear (as if the lack of gear would only affect mage classes...), and it's not like people would compare equally geared toons, because we don't ''listen''. Quickly, someone point out to them that it's only lack of mage gear that ''halved the efficiency and fun of the current magic class'', before they make a terrible mistake... (/irony off, in case it's not obvious).
  20. Well, unless this means something else than ''wait a second'', as in the 60th part of a minute, your post was kind of indicating this week's maintenance. Anyway, maybe you should look up something called ''irony'', or maybe it was just too subtle
  21. Can you please share what's the basis of this opinion? I mean, there is no argument against the fact that, at least PVE wise, feoh is by far the worst of the aoe damage dealers, and at the same time, by far the worst single target dd (i don't think ST is even an option for feoh any more). I don't know about Core, but even on our servers feohs perform a lot poorer than equally geared tyrrs/dks/yuls even way before the gods jewel level of equipment, which seems to be the main difference between the servers. Perhaps feohs deal great dmg on Core, but is this dmg comparable to equally geared top dds? So what is it that makes you think mages are very powerful? Maybe they are, compared to the support classes that you want to deal the same dmg as top dds, while still being able to heal, buff, etc... Anyway, this is a non-subject, since even the devs already publicly acknowledged that there is clearly a problem regarding the dmg calculation for feohs, which is not ''working as intended'', and are taking action to remedy the situation. To what that leads, we can only wait and see, but maybe, just maybe, you might reconsider claiming that mages are very powerful against all evidence. I also agree with iAndouille, there can never be perfect balance, there always have to be compensation for utility against pure dmg, but that is neither the subject of this topic, nor the subject of your post.
  22. Actually i was fully aware of the average adena/hour/hunting zone myself, but it might be misleading for people that don't usually farm those instances and/or don't buy prestige/destiny.
  23. Well, it seems that the negativity you saw no reason for was justified after all, wouldn't you agree? Yes, the announcement came out 10 mins after your post, but the topic was not about the announcement, but about the 19th Anniversary events, which i see no mention of. So, do you think it's ok to ”go out saying all kinds of weird stuff” now that the announcement is out?
  24. This has to be a joke, please tell me you were being ironic... Time to upgrade the long abandoned tyrr? Do you realize tyrr is top dd atm, not counting dk which is technically support (tank)? Are you even playing the same game? Do you realize that even game developers admit that feoh is way behind damage wise compared to the other dd classes due to some dmg mechanism that is not reaching its goal, and yet you consider tyrr needs un upgrade? Are you aware summoners just got an upgrade last week? And are you really asking for support classes to deal same dmg as dds (i'm not sure what you mean by lovely class, but i assume it's iss)? This already happened with dk and it threw the game balance out the window. Just look at Mixa's post... While it is true that support classes are becoming more and more useless, adding the same dmg as top dd classes is definitively not the solution, quite the opposite, as we've seen with dk. Also, while it is true that any class performs well when equipped with top items, atm a dk/tyrr/yul will always outperform, and by far, an equally geared feoh.
