  1. Hi ty for this tip, my clan is lvl 2, but If I pay now, will I get to stockpile the honor coins and spend them on the blessings once it gets lvl 3?
  2. Are all these items available in npc shops? or do you have to make newbie alt to farm some? (I found heavy chisel and homemade sword on sale in starter towns, but could not find butchers sword and fist of butcher to complete the set.)
  3. I tried it once and did not make back the costs, only got one enchant armor D imprint, perhaps is more worthwhile when your very strong and can aoe large packs.
  4. I cant say for sure yet for Aden, but theres some older info on the Essence game version in EU here https://eu.4gameforum.com/threads/673382/ "Overlord and Warcryer : ..... You can wear heavy armor and drain HPs and MPs (MPs after 76) from mobs making you unkillable by enemies even if you're afk hunting." So I think maybe the plate armor set might be good option. (Especially if you have a moonshadow robes set from first transfer so you can have both a robes and a plate set ? also opposite if you already have light set from first xfer, maybe get free robe set.)
  5. Additionally, the free maintained 59 mins counts down even if your offline, as well as having a daily max of 4 hrs per day that you can get (resets at daily reset), so if you already got 4 hrs, maybe dont blow another 100 cookies right away/etc.
  6. If you try to queue, theres no queue msg, but after a while it pops up "We are doing server ,maintenance pls try later"
  7. Every time you pop anything to get sayhas, cookies/potion , it has a chanc e to proc 59 minutes of free grace maintained effect. This can stack up to 4 hrs worth, so it you just ate a stack of 50-100 potions, you could end up with 4 hrs free without really noticing it happened. During the duration, your sayhas bar is just frozen in place, no matter how much you XP you gain. (its the optimal time to use gusts/storms and trans dungeon obviously, as double x zero cost is still zero.)
  8. Also remember to sit and regen your mp to full before you talk to the npc to begin and turn on auto hunt before you begin, I sometimes forgot and find my char is half dead instantly before I remember to activate it. And when your auto-hunting, and want to interrupt it to cast a heal/potion from your bar , you can hold that heal skill button down until it casts then release it, rather than having to click off-on auto hunt completely .
  9. Also you can buy hp potions from grocer npc for 36 adena, even just get a few and have them set to auto cast at 30% or somewhere low as emergency use. But if your healths draining too fast, then adjust them up or down during the fighting while your char is auto hunting.
  10. Ok, so the main thing I found that works in dungeon, is to spam your special skill pretty much only because this hits all the mobs aoe. And use the auto hunt mode, then just watch and react when needed to pop ultimate defense or manually cast a heal/potion. I tried kiting when it seemed hard at lvl 50/60 , but only to retreat back a little to a safer spot then activated auto hunt there. The auto hunt reacts much faster than you can due to lag/latency and can start ,moving to hit mobs before they even appear on your screen. So if you need to kite, you tick off auto hunt, move to the spot you want, then reclick auto hunt back on. This involves carefully setting your skill bar autocast skills if your auto hunting, to adjust from MP conservation mode, to max skill spam. For example you can turn off every other single auto cast skill on your bars, and only activate your main tramnscendent skill, so that your char spams it as often as it can in auto hunt. Orn melees I like to set one or two normal attacks followed by my transcendent skill, which tends to maintain mp better but you do less aoe trans hits. On mages/ranged you can just have the trans skill alone auto-casting. So as melee your main action bar can be as follows: 1 normal attack (autocast) , 2 empty spot, 3 empty spot, 4 Main trans skill(auto cast) Observe how its going, if your not aoeing fast enough because you do the normal attack every 2nd one, then right click to cancel the auto-cast on your button 1 normal attack, now you will just spam the button 4 trans skill but your mp will drain faster. If your MP is draining wayyyyyy too fast , then you will want to add in one more normal attacks into the empty spot 2 (press C and drag the attack move in) So now your chars doing 2 normal attacks then a trans aoe skill, and using less mp. If its still too much mp drain, then drag another normal attack into the open spot 3, so you do 3 attacks then one trans skill and so on. You can right click on the normal attack to cancel auto cast- will cancel all 3 of them, and toggle them back on if you need. ### (The main trick is to have your char auto hunt, but with you observing making constant adjustments to the routine as required, rather than trying to kite or manually hunt)
  11. Do you mean trouble actually fighting the mobs ? (or to do with sayhas usage there)
  12. I got free ones as you lvl up from rewards . But if your in a hurry you can buy them for 3 mil adena in l2coin shop(adena page) Maybe other ways I dont know about also.
  13. Cruma tower is nice, still a lot of ppl but you have a lot of diff rooms to find a good spot, and the pvp there makes it feel more realistic. Theres actually consequences for bad manners etc...
  14. Hi Rosemary, If your farming for the lvl 2 HP/MP restore skills , I'd suggest just use a backup +1 or so Aden talisman until you can afford the 400k adena later, or even the adventurers talisman. The item is safe in your recovery list unless you were to drop another 50 things at which point the oldest one gets pushed out permanently. Think of it as a free additional storage slot and its not as irritating. Also, you can only drop equipped items, so if you want to farm in a PK risky spot, you can unequip high cost items to prevent the risk of drop. Also if you use lccoins instead of adena, I dont think the killer gets any of the fees, so you could invest in lccoin as a long term option also.
  15. I'm not sure if I correctly explained my post, the day 14 attendance gives you 2x tickets. Each ticket lets you choose a rdy made +4-15 C weapon , via the dimension merchant button, C- weapon , and you can choose a dual katanas which will be random from +4 to +15. If its only +4, you can use the 2nd ticket and try to get another higher than +4, or save the 2nd ticket for something else. (You dont have to choose 2 katanas from the 2 ticket and upgrade/break) ### Another way to get dual katana is lucky drop from fields of massacre. ### And you may be able to use the blacksmith crafting system as a 3rd way, but if it may be too risky to break 2 swords, you could save and just buy a dual from another player without the risk. ### Also, BD in Aden doesnt need a dual sword to do your own dance buffs , you need one to use the poison dance aoe attack, from lvl 50 ish? , but thats not a buff. Your very strong soloing with Aden sword and shield. (You may need duals at lvl 76 if you upgrade your dances to the expensive ones that can buff other players)
  16. As Tokyo said, Theres no 1 adena drop rate, its either you get 5%/30%/100% of what amt the mobs would drop. The Sayhas info (and drop rates w/o it) are also in the patch notes: https://www.lineage2.com/news/aden-launch-patch-notes Sayha’s Grace Buffs XP/SP Bonus Effect Adena Drop Quantity Item Drop Chance Penalty Sayha’s Grace – OFF No Bonus 5% 10% Sayha’s Will (Limited Sayha), Sayha’s Grace - OFF 200% 30% None Sayha’s Grace - ON 300% 100% None
  17. Thanks a lot for this, I had overlooked that stuff entirely.
  18. Ok so the main advice tip I have for new and F2P is learn eaxctly how the Sayhas system works, and make sure you dont use your daily allowance of potions wastefully. https://dev.l2central.info/essence/articles/179.html (1 way to run out of adena as F2P is to jump into the daily trans dungon after popping your 5 free sayas, and a gust/storm for a big 600% XP rush. After the first minute all 5 sayas will be gone and you will have no way to earn adena from mobs for the rest of the day.) ### As default in game, you are penalised with 95% penalty to adena drops, a 90% penalty to item drops and 0% bonus to XP gain. Sayhas grace/will changes this up by boosting your XP by200/300% , and boosting your adena and item drop by 30%/100%, (or adjusting the penaltys to 70%/0%) ### To figure out whats going on with your Sayhas, you click the yellow/green icon on the top of the right side bar, this opens a toolbox with more details. Then you hover your mouse over the bottom bar in that toolbox to get a popup listing 5 lines of text: Sayas Grace : Not applied (or 300%) Sayas Will : Time left (xxx hrs/days) Sayas Will : When Sayhas Grace is not applied, XP/SP +200 , Adena penalty reduced (This is 2 lines of just generic info) Grace Maintaining effect : Not applied ( or ( 1min-3hr 59min)) The bottom Bar itself will show a 0%-99% , while the top will say Sayas Grace x0 -x24 The standard sized potions/cookies we get add 35000points which adds 25% to the bar. Smaller cookies add 10000points or about 4%. Using 4 normal potions brings the bar 100% , then the top will say Sayas Grace x1 , and the bar restarts at 0%. You can pop enough potions to get the top all the way to x24 but its can be disadvantageous to pop too much as I'll explain later. ### Sayhas Grace gives you a bonus of 300% XP, and 300% adena (0% penalty instead of 95% penalty) , and 100% item drop(0%penalty), and the x.1-24 bar is not a timed buff, its a fixed value (or somewhat fixed) of XP that you will gain, and as you gain that XP the Sayhas will decrease. The faster and more xp you gain, the faster it decreases . Every day you get the free 35000 points of grace you see in the login chat text, which adds the bar 25%. And using a (35000)potion/grace cookie adds 25%. Sayhas Will , is a timed 1day-30 day buff , that kicks in to give you 200% XP , 30% Adena drop (70% penalty instead of 95% penalty)and 100% item drop(0% penalty), whenever you dont have any Sayhas Grace 300%. ### Sayhas Gust/Sayhas Storm , are special 300/200% boosts that you can stack alongside your existing Sayhas buff . Getting you up to 600+% XP rates ( you can mouse over the XP % on bottom left of screen to see a pop up info of what buffs you have active.) Sayhas Gust comes from in game quest/achieve rewards and adds 300% for 20 minutes, Sayhas Storm comes from the cash shop and adds 200% for 20 mins.... BUT , while gust/storm are active, your Sayhas bar is drained twice as fast for every XP you gain. So its a decision you need to make if you use them, and you should be attentive to your current bar % before you use them. Because one buff is timed but not metered, and the other is metered but not timed, you can take advantage of this, or you can severely harm youself economically if you dont pay attention. The worst method economically to use them is to pop a lot of sayas potions , (eg your 5 freebies) get your bar to 125% , Sayas grace x1 , 25%, then pop sayas gust, and jump into trans dungon with 600% XP. You will drain the entire 125% in the first 30 seconds of mobs, after which you have no more sayas grace (-300%) and no more adena from mobs , but still have 19 mins left of sayas Gust/Storm (200-300%) , so you get the remaining 9 minutes of your trans dungon at 200/300% XP. The best way ecomonically, would be to have a Sayhas Will 1 day , or 30 day potion active. As this kicks in for 200% whenever your Sayhas Grace is gone. But to also get your Gust/Storm applied before you start the dungon. Sayhas gust/Storm 20 min buff, can only be activated if you have the bar at 25% or more. Meaning you need to eat one 35000 potion/cookie , OR rely on the free daily recharge of 25%. (If you rely on the recharge be very careful not to do anything to reduce below 25% before you have applied the Gust/Storm and are rdy to do the dungon. Just killing one mob after you login, could drop you to 24.9999 can be enough to screw you out of being able to activate the gust) ### SO, assuming you got your bar to just barely Sayas Grace x0 , 25% , and you also have a Sayas Will 1 day/30day on , you activate a Sayhas Gust/Storm , now your XP is at 600% so you jump into trans dungon, after 30 seconds, your Sayas Grace 25% is out, but you still have your 19 mins Sayas Gust, AND your 1-30 day Sayhas Will kicks in to replace your Grace. So your sitting at 500% XP for the next full 9 mins of your trans dungon, and it only cost you one sayas potion and your sayas gust/storm. Trans dungon does not drop adena, which is why its such a waste to burn through large amounts of sayas in there while losing all your free daily allowance, and only actually gaining from 500% to 600% XP. Those free 5 potions will be much more helpful after you exit the dungon and want to go farm for a few hrs, giving you 300% adena from everything you kill until the full XP value of the 125% bar of Sayas Grace is gained. ### If you want to be extra thrifty , and you have your 1-30 day Sayhas will on, you can pop your 1 potion for 25% Sayhas bar, pop a gust, then solo mobs for 300% xp/Adena for 9 minutes..before you go in the trans dungon with maybe just 0%-5% Sayhas bar, but with 11 mins Gust, which will still get you the 500% for the 10 mins run. ### The last thing to mention is the "Sayhas Will maintained" , which can proc with a low chance everytime you eat a Sayhas potion/cookie/etc its easy not to notice it, thus important to mouse over the bar and check if you got it, after you pop some sayhas. If you get it will have a 59 min countdown, durign which you lose absolutely none of your sayas bar no matter how much xp you get. It can stack up to 4 hrs per day if you proc several times. But this counts down when offline and resets at daily or maintenance. So ideally, this is the time to pop a 60 min lamp buff, every XP buff you have and farm with gusts/storms on for the free 60 mins(3x 20 min gusts). And jump in the trans dungon if its available. (this is the only way you can do the trans dungon without wasting large amt of sayas adena drop should you already have several stacks of the bar--for example if you have the bar at x10 25% - and you really dont want to waste all x10 in 2 minutes of trans dungon, when it could get you half a mill adena farming SV for a few hrs instead , then you can try eating more cookies/pots in hope of procing this in order to do a trans dungon run without draining.... But it may not proc and you end up at a max stack of x24 instead) I try to just pop a few Sayhas as I need them hunting, then if I see the proc, Ill go do the trans, otherwise just farm until I'm down to just above 25% and do the trans at the min cost. #### Anyway, thats the basics for thrifty Sayhas usage. Sry about the mad wall of text , you may want to make it more presentable before you include it in a newbie guide.
  19. While your working on the newbie guide maybe this thread can be used to post tips and advice that ppl have found to help other newcomers, and you can include them in the guide later. While L2 Aden is basically an NA version of L2 Essence , hosted by ncwest, the site and info provided here is a bit lacking in detail of Essence mechanics. You can find a lot more info about Essence mechanics at https://dev.l2central.info/essence/ Additionally, Essence has been running in EU since 2020 with a different host, and has its own site and forums where theres a lot of valuable info to be found there about classes and player guides even if its not quite the same content as here.https://eu.4gameforum.com/categories/1877/ I've found a lot of helpful info in both sites.
  20. Day 14 attendance reward 2 c grade wepon tickets , can get you a dual katanas +4-15 (In old version of L2 I think I recall you crafted duals at black smith npc, in giran maybe, where you supply him the 1 hand swords) Try checking the blacksmith npcs in various main towns .
  21. For players who never played Essence before this, theres definitely a culture shock and learning curve as you figure out more of how essence works. I'm playing a totally dif game than what I thought I started playing last week, but its good and a lot of the restrictions make more sense to me as I progress.
  22. Well Blackbird server has terrible problems with lag and dc. Alcaida server is working ok if you just want to try out the game , you could create your chars in both servers. You can also claim the newbie starter kit , and daily freebie kits in both servers. And decide what server to play mainly later (if they fix the blackbird lag) But attendance checklist rewards is limited to only one character on your entire acct so be careful when you get the day 7 +4 c grade armor ticket not to take it on the wrong server.
  23. You can save them and decide in about 9 days time before they expire. Trying to get jewels could seem very worthwhile by then.
  24. Well I think the light is better , I am actually using the 7 day light set on my healer, and its good when hunting anywhere that the mobs actually manage to hit you. Also for pvp it may be better to have both a robe set (Moonshadow) and a light set (drake) to swap between. (Imprint armor wont drop when your red I am told) You can still get a robe set, or swap in the D robe set you got for free, at times when you want the slightly faster casting to farm a spot. (also a tradable C karmian set is a good option to invest/buy later with its 15% cast speed another good investment for a tradeable nuking set is the demon set with +4 int dmg) both of these sets seem to be currently sold/resold by players too(but you can buy them from npc).
  25. In robes you get 200% cast speed ...100% bonus In Light you get 191% ...91% bonus (but if a elf wizard (Sps) tried to wear light they would be down from 200% to 100% cos they dont have the 91% light skill)
