We are still seeing a complete disconnect with the needs of majority of player base. If you want to recycle Korean events go for it, but at least have enough insight to provide us with ways to upgrade gear to the level of Korean players that is affordable so we can catch up to these ridiculous promotions and actually have some purpose of participating in them. The forum is flooded with player base telling you changes need to be made so we can continue enjoying this game, we are not asking for charity but there has to be a way of progressing the player base to the current level of promotions.

The new set of events again just shows complete and utter disconnect of the game team and player base. How about you boys actually play this game for a month, maybe you would be more open to understanding why your player base is shrinking day by day. So many comments are left each day on this forum about issues the population is facing and, outside of we are hearing you pacifying comments by the game team, nothing is changing. At this point just shut it down and stop pretending you give a damn about people that want to play a product you provide. As my boy @Draeckesaid, and I'll paraphrase here, get your shit together.

As usual all the player requests are being ignored. The new round of promotions is a joke as it always is.

Who are these players? I personally opened 400+ coolers and got only consumables, even more not a single person I know got an item from this event. The only thing we got from this event is the "consumables" that are time limited and mostly work only when vitality is on - so only thing we got is an event that forces players to purchase vit maintaining items from l2store to get some xp by using the time limited consumables, that in turns gets you toons with lvls and no gear. Spectacular.

1) Blacksmith in any town will exchange the Augment Stone Crystal and adena for various augment stones. Select I want to augment an item and then Exchange Augment Stones and Spirit Stones. 2) I'm pretty sure the only way to level up a soul crystal is to compound 2 of the same level in hope they produce a higher lvl one. The rates for this are abismal so just nuy the lvl you need/can afford in AH 3) Boxes you obtain by hunting in fields of Crisis can drop Artifact Crystals, but this is so rare to fill in the complete book with lvl 1 artifacts will take you 6 years. 4) You can obtain rune stones in Tower if Insolence timed hunting zone, but as with everything else goo luck with that. 5) You can get maximum of 240 ether per day by killing mobs, 120 in open field and 120 in timed hunting zones. Ether is just a artificial limiting factor to prevent you from progressing. You can also get it from old crafting packs and similar stuff but finding those will be fun. 6) See answer 1) 7) There really are not. For armors you can follow the newbie quest line to get some basic gear. IF you want something better you can purchase an armor pack from L2 store and make it +10. Your other options are various remaining R grade armors which are not really interesting at all and the 2 craftable armor sets r99 and r110. For weapons its kind of the same thing, you can get some weapon from the quest line, buy the armor pack where you will get a coupon for a weapon, get one of the old R grade options or craft r99 or r110 weapons. 8 ) Its not, spoiling and crafting are not a thing any more really. 9) r99 you need to use blessing scrolls > you can craft them in the crafting menu; r110 you go to the blacksmith in any town and select I want to imbune... and then select r110 options weapon or armor. Important to note here is that to upgrade r99 armors / weapons to PvE/PvP you need to bless them (blessed armors can be enchanted then to have various stat tweaks) for r110 armors / weapons you enchant them but that is not the same as enchanting r99 armors. Enchanting in r110 armors / weapons is the equivalent of blessing the item. 10) Haven't used this but probably not. 11) Sure, you can find them in Giran and Aden where they used to spawn. ----- Actually the game is more complex but its questionable if its richer. Your main activities will be doing your daily farms, the ones you can with your gear lvl, and just setting auto hunting in a zone where you can kill. Othell seems like an ok-ish choice for gear limited players but you will never get invited into parties with it. So be ready to solo all the way.

Have all of the auto cast stuff - buffs, BR... - on auto cast. Depending on what DD you play you might want to reshuffle the macro. This is more for a close range DD since the attack command keeps the iss close to it all the time.

Well who is left to express opinions? The whales don't care, the mid tier players have left long ago and the potential new players give up after a few weeks. Oh and lets not forget the people who just log in to chat with their middle aged friends, these people certainly don't care. I have been back now for a month after a significant, we talking years here, pause and I can say while there were some quality of life improvements to L2 vast majority of changes are just lack of any imagination - milk them till it goes - approach. It is so very obvious that, compared to other regions, NC West is just sitting it out. I don't want to say this is because lack of vision for what this game can be. As I said already this version of L2 is too much like a mobile game. Historically NC West has not really had a ear for their player base request. Maybe @Hermescan move mountains this time around but I think most are skeptical, and with full right, that we are just getting a copy paste pacifying response. Another big issue here is the item gap between players. By keeping this investment threshold to compete in the mid tier gameplay so high everyone is loosing out here. The new players just have no way of competing on a fun level (lets just take a look what a new player can do after they hit 105 and complete their little quests), mid tier players have quit long ago because they know they can't compete with the whales and there is not enough of mid tier players to do anything of significance and the whales have no worthy opponent except themselves - so what is the fun for them - 20 middle aged men being toxic in blue chat every single day? By allowing players to progress to mid tier without the need to invest at all we would get a surge of vitality in this game that is seriously lacking. Someone said it well now we have 3 toons on sieges doing dmg worth of 3 clans, this can not be fun for anyone. Allowing for free players to actually achieve mid tier gear would cost minimum development time, encourage ne players to come and actually invest into some better gear and make the forgotten classes matter again, when you have a clan of mid tier geared players attaching a castle well foking healers are important again right? Get people excited about this game again and then we can talk about adding real content which is lacking on so many levels at the moment.

This is so true. NC Soft has unfortunately taken a completely wrong approach to Lineage 2 where they started developing it as a mobile game and in the sea of other similar games they completely missed the mark to stand out as a unique offer.

You get 1 development point for each clan level starting at lv5. At lv11, you get 7.

@Hermesalso can confirm that during 1h in Primeval we now get maybe 1 scroll drop and sometimes not even that.

Also experiencing: disconnects > game appears its running until i try using a skill > then just get a disconnected popup > mostly happens to chars that are in town afk/shop crashes > game client just closes when entering an instance or teleporting

@Hermes As a returning player after 5 years of not playing I'm looking forward to seeing more rewards that will motivate me to spend ncoins and not feel I'm being forced on spending hundreds of dollars just on things that are beyond basic or were given out for free during events while I was not playing. At this point it seems I can't even obtain items without trading ncoins or waiting for months for events that would be considered basic to enable me to farm in a normal party. This game pass concept seems like a good opportunity to enable us to catch up on items. Maybe the basic free versioin would give out basic level items while the paid one would award mid tier items.

At this point you should start hunting in L2 Store.

Adena is not the problem here, problem is that people cant obtain adequate gear for their level and instances. This, as a progression, is ridiculous and not a single decent game designer would allow it. But none of this is even a problem since the Korean version of the game has tools for new players to come on board and have fun. The essence of the problem is that major parts of the game have been removed due to "promotions" and USD profit, without actually trying to come up with subtle ways to generate USD from the western markets.

I'm sure we can have an "event" or two.

I see it more productive than coming here and trying to reason with moderators. What this community needs is a more visible presence on outlets where the data is actually accessible and where it matters. Nobody, on this forum, cares that 50% of users said that the update is "below expectations", and up to 70% have a negative feedback on it. But I am sure if NC West twitter/facebook/instagram gets overrun with hundreds of negative comments it would create more effect than typing novels here about it.
