Some say it’s just luck, some say it’s statistics, some say it’s art, some say it’s game mechanics and some still believe in game bugs or even prejudice and destiny! Many tried and fail, said they will quit. Many tried and failed and then tried again and succeeded. Whatever your story is in Lineage 2, or whatever your thoughts are for overenchanting, here is a guide to increase your chances of success. Enjoy the read and may lady luck smile upon you in every attempt… 1. Choosing your destiny So, why most of the ELITE enchanters are Dwarves? Does it really matter? The answer is it all comes down to the basic stats and yes, Dwarves have more LUC as basic stats that any other race. The difference though is just +1 LUC (35 instead of 34 for all other races), so if your plan is to do your ORC or your Fighter a PRO over-enchanter, YES you can. Having said that, leveling an Othell Fortune Seeker will give you "Great Luck" skill, LUC+3 which is a clear advantage moving forward! Invest in Lady Luck/LUC Stat Lady luck comes 4th in this guide, but it is probably the single most important aspect for OE and end game players. Reason is, LUC’s benefits, extent well beyond R-grade items over-enchanting. Having high LUC stats at your chars becomes very useful in many L2 store events as well, where you have to over enchant no-grade items too (circlets, shirts, etc). Of course, it does not make much sense having LUC dyes on your main. But having +15 (3 x 5) LUC at one of your subs makes a lot of sense. LUC dyes Lv. 5 Windy LUC Dye b. Make your LUC bracelet. This again needs some luck, but you can get a dimensional bracelet (mostly available from L2 store) and increase its level to +5 LUC. Keep in mind that if the OE of the bracelet fails it resets to +0. From experience, a +3 LUC bracelet is good enough for decent OE players. LUC bracelet c. Get an accessory. There are many hair accessories out there that can give you +3 LUC, get one and keep it handy at your warehouse! LUC Accessory LUC Pendant d. Dragon Ring Leather Shirt: It might be an expensive item, but a dragon leather shirt can boost your LUC stat +6 if you over enchant it at last stage beyond +3. Keep in mind that this item is only for chars 105 or above so if you are not there yet don’t get very excited! This is what you should also wear when you over enchant any No-grade items as Maphr’s shirt does not work. Dragon Ring Leather Shirt Dragon Leather Shirt e. Make your quest (Fate of Exalted) - Completing Fate of Exalted will boost your basic LUC stat +1. Not bad at all! - Get a nice cloak as outlined below (LUC+1 cloak). Fate of the Exalted Book Spellbook: Fate of the Exalted f. Wearing the right Cloak. Cloaks can boost your luck mostly +1, +2, +3 (Nevit, L2 Store) and if you are a leader cloak of light can give you up to +4 LUC! Where to find them? Finish “Fate of Exalted quest”, get a castle or be the Leader! List of Cloaks with LUC Cloak of Radiant Light Nevit's Cloak of Light Cloak of Darkness Exalted Cloak g. Get a Venir talisman which can give you +1 (stage 7), +2 (stage 15) or +3 LUC (stage 24). As stage 24 seems a bit over the top for +1 extra LUC, a stage 15/16 venir is probably your best choice at the moment. Venir Talisman h. Make your Insanity talisman. To me, this talisman represents how crazy you are to deal with OE, so you might as well get the title and the LUC +2 stat for your char. Insanity Talisman i. Buy a Ring of Truth-Seeker or Ruler's Ring of Authority. Expensive item at the moment (maybe 80 bill.) but can give you LUC+2. Equipping both Ring of Truth-Seeker and Ruler's Ring of Authority will give you +4 LUC! Truth Seeker Ring Ring of the Truth-Seeker j. Over enchant your armor first! Getting a +10 armor set will boost your LUC+1. Any R grade armor set will do the trick so why not? R armors are quite cheap at the moment! LUC from +10 Set k. Make a La vie brooch. La vie rose magnificent brooch gives all stats +2 including LUC+2. La vie brooch l. Get a greater Emerald Brooch. A greater emerald brooch can increase all of your stats +3, including LUC+3. Greater Emerald m. Make your artifact set to get +1 in all stats, including LUC. Note: Currently Artifact set level 3 is not available. Level 3 artifact set n. Evolve your agathion to stage 5 to get +1 in all stats, including LUC. Evolved Agathion Stage 5 o. Epic Accessories (Fafurion Jewels) These items are only available to the few farming epic bosses but all the new epic jewels can give you LUC+1, +2 or +3 overenchanting them to +1, +2 or +3 and more, which is very difficult to do! Epic Accessories Dragon Ring Dragon Earring Dragon Necklace p. Other items (no longer available). If you have been playing long enough, you might have some other goodies to increase your luck like the Christmas talisman. Unfortunately, these talismans can no longer be obtained through the game and the few that we have on the server are traded for billions of adena! Christmas talisman can give you LUC+1 or LUC+2. Before the final click, make sure you click a Maphr’s scroll! It will boost your LUC stat +5. It only lasts 15 seconds, so no second thoughts or turning back at this point! GOOD LUCK! Ps. Let me guess, you have no luck dyes, used no LUC boosts, have no enchant shirt but tried regardless and now you are complaining? I made my own +10, over 3 cloak events and after 21 or 22 legendary scrolls made it legendary, it is hard, i mean, really hard, but if you are not making everything to maximize the probability of succeeding, why are you whining?

Anyone got info about the R110 gear upgrades? no more elcyum needed to upgrade weapons and only 1 bloody/dark stone, instead of 30, needed to improve to Limited?

Sure Tyr is going through a great overhalling, but since for PVE is the same normal crit and p skill crit will only be efective in PVP, there is no clear choice. Pve +5% for PVE( cause all dmg, P skill and P crit) and P skill crit for PVP?

Baium isn't misleading, it's normal P atk crit dmg and M skill crit damage just like the God Rings. P Skill crit dmg on rings are in oly ring, Fallen angel's ring and Angel's ring i believe, read those descriptions and you understand how it is written and dipicted there.

What are the best cloak augments for each class and cloak and why? Elmore with PVE aug or Normal Crit Damage for titan? Obviosly P. skill crit for archers M. skill crit for Feohs and more?

What is your take on the next patch? When will it hit NCwest servers, any planned date? Just took a look at the other regions patch notes and it looks nifty. Antharas instanced for everyone with normal loot looks a pretty good step forward. What are your thoughts about it?

I fought Beya in olympiad and as a tank i crited her with a bow and killed her, if i didnt crit i would loose haha, old times mate.

we need more players! it is a step in the right direction, anyway we need a little more from the korean developers to really get more people, specifically the old nostalgic players, game should be a little more rewarding and with more content to the average players, rewarding instances for example, cause the game atm is kartia and afk xp until olympiad comes. Keep in mind that the game is very old, they might be looking to phase it out and focus on newer projects.

Apart from prices , that depend on region, they can't change much of the game, it's a korean game and reflects the korean culture, most of the changes already happened there, i'm just looking for a decent translation to be informed about it. @Draecke give us one of your sources!

I moved to Silent valley and kept getting DCed all the time until i cannot login anymore, i didnt had any disconnect issues before i moved there, i was quite surprised it was kinda empty tbh, but why can't i even start the laucher or access my account to send a ticket?

It's not that i don't know the law, or anything related to that, i just stated a fact that comes since 2004/2005, since i play this game that i've always seen a lot of automated characters. It's a lot of time to acknowledge a problem and address it accordingly. But yes your point makes perfect sense, they get much more money from other markets and other platforms but still they fail on what is the most important part as being a game producer company, the costumer. If they really care about them, this game, Aion and every game they have would be much more successful.

true but what i meant is that the whales are the ones getting ncsoft their annual revenue, not the "ebayer" or the casual player, simply because there are no items that you can buy to improve your ingame experience and gain access to the engame conntent, wich is pretty hard for the common folks to enjoy

what about making all items account locked with the option to unlock paying nccoins, quite like longing talisman?
