We are restarting the NPC server today, September 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. PDT / 1:00 p.m. CDT / 2:00 p.m. EDT / 8:00 p.m. GMT+2 to address the issue with Core Raid Event and Antharas Lair. No downtime is to be expected, but NPCs will disappear for a short time.

No, there was no actual extension to the Attendance event, and it was a misuse of wording on my part. We mentioned in the September 8 maintenance that the Attendance event continues for one more week.

The server launched on 08/11, so 5 weeks are due on 09/15. Then they announced that they would extend for 1 week moving the event ending to 09/22, but last week's maintenance notes said:

I see where the confusion lies, and it's an improper use of phrasing on my part with the word 'extension'.

In all seriousness, @Tokyois correct. Our attendance event was intended for fresh players on a fresh journey in a fresh new Lineage II game. We extended a week due to the issues that those players experienced with the latency/lag/crashes on Blackbird. The attendance event was not meant to be run indefinitely. If anything changes about that, I'll be sure to let you all know. In the meantime, make sure you log in!-

Only Elcadia is able to claim Hero status, Blackbird cannot.
