I don't get it either. When I can offer some intel, I share. When I'm wrong about something, I'm not hesitant to admit it. Then I'd thank that person for correcting me so I don't continue making the same mistake. I can't respect a person who knowingly allowed me to continue being wrong. People who can't admit when they're wrong are immature & it's illogical (I don't mean to sound like a Vulcan from Star Trek).

But your first statement in this thread was/is demonstrably false so.....

"What level is your Eviscerator? At Lv.101+ every DD with basic mediocre gear not bought from L2 store should be able to solo EV."

But whatever; go ahead and take the last word.

That's a rhetorical question. Only someone like yourself would answer those...

You're hilarious. A group of mobs standing near each other don't have to be social in order to AoE them. You really are incompetent.  Skill 30776 1.jpgProvoke, Skill 10271 1.jpgPower Provoke, Skill 10288 1.jpgHurricane Storm, Skill 10265 1.jpgEruption, Skill 10321 1.jpgThunder Spear, Skill 10269 1.jpgJump Attack, Skill 10281 1.jpgSonic Star, Skill 10772 1.jpgHeavy Arrow Rain, Skill 10771 1.jpgMultiple Arrow, Skill 10802 1.jpgMass Bullseye, Skill 10781 1.jpgPhoenix Arrow, Skill 11026 8.jpgUpdraft Destruction, Skill 11048 6.jpgMass Ruin, Skill 11040 8.jpgElemental Storm, Skill 11067 1.jpgQuadruple Elemental Blast (just to name a few) can all be used to attract passive mobs in order to AoE them. I can also use a single attack on each monster that I want to attract, in order to group them together. "Because if you didn't know that....." It's pretty sad that you didn't. I'm well aware of the current level ranges of each area since they're actually listed on the map, patch notes & L2wiki. Back when I had tested the 3.7 million M.atk on my Lv. 99 Storm Screamer, EV was a Lv.100 area in 2015.

Also, my comment about the theory of only needing a high P.atk or M.atk. on a weapon explains why game-mechanics-knowledge is essential. Then I gave an example of this fact.

It's really concerning that someone needs to constantly repeat simple things to you. It's like you're having trouble comprehending English. Nothing I've said was a contradiction. Maybe it's all confusing to you because you're delusional. You keep coming up with idiotic ideas that were never written in any of my posts. You have a knee-jerk reaction of twisting words into something else & changing the meanings of comments. You should seek a psychiatrist for that. You have a really serious problem there.

OK, no point in going on.  Find another thread to troll please.

You asked a question & I answered. Why would you be upset because I answered? You're not making any logical sense.

You have no idea about how to play Nukers according to your comment about "all over the map". Exalted gear is sub par. I never said in any of my posts that Exalted gear is basic. Exalted & Paulina gear is simply NCsoft's way of easing the burden for new players of acquiring proper gear right away.

You should really stick to what someone says & stop adding illogical garbage. I didn't "imply" anything. It's a known fact that you'll never enjoy any game if you don't understand that game's mechanics. Without reading patch notes of MMO's (or manuals of console games) & testing the game-play, you'll end up failing at everything in any game. Throwing lots of cash at this & buying items won't be enough.

Basic mediocre gear not bought from the L2 store is self explanatory. You're a trip. Having to explain what that means proves that you're incapable of critical thinking.

No you have never answered ANY of my questions.

My first general question; "Here's what I got so far; let me know if I'm missing anything reasonably affordable?" - You never answered that, you just gave a misleading comment in response.

My first question to YOU - "Are you serious?" - Still waiting on that on....

My second question to YOU - "Why even make it (your initial comment)" - Waiting....

My third question to YOU - So what is your idea of "basic mediocre gear not bought from L2 store?" - Waiting....

Finally, since you have just admitted you don't even know what constitutes Exalted Gear why are you even commenting in this thread?  If you don't even know that, then you certainly have very little knowledge about the current state of the game.  I guess it also won't hurt to further point out that this comment......

"More is required than just a high P.atk or M.atk on a weapon in this game in order to be successful. The level of your toon, passives, buffs & the amount of element it has are all factors. For an example: I've boosted the M.atk on a Lv.99 Storm Screamer up to 3.7 million & still wasn't able to 2 or 3 shot mobs in Lv.101+ solo areas. Before the Goddess of Destruction patch, I was capable of 1-shotting mobs in solo areas."

....basically contradicts your initial asinine foray into this thread (derp).

WOW, you just can't stop can you....

No amount of game knowledge will compensate for sub-par gear and we both know it.  With your BS "It all boils down to understanding game mechanics & the class you're playing" you are implying that I don't know "basic game mechanics" and, that somehow if I did, I would be able to effectively level in EV with a 101+ Evis with "basic gear."

Quit misleading people!  Exalted gear (basic gear) simple DOES NOT put out enough damage to LEVEL in EV regardless of class.  An Evis is no exception.

EDIT:  LOL I just read your reply to that Nuker.  You're all over the map aren't you.  So what is your idea of "basic mediocre gear not bought from L2 store?"

thats for classic version of l2... dex doest not change p critical damage.

You might be right but... if you hold your mouse over stats in your Character Status (Alt+T) it matches what is in the link.  We really don't know everything DEX does because you can't read the last line in-game, it's cut off (for me at least).

I should do a test with Blaster on my Maestro because I think now they (we) have the highest P.Crit Rate of all Tyrrs.  Superior Blunt Weapon Mastery gives 30% P.Crit Rate.

When I play live in in Storm I can AOE hunt with skills with my blunt and kill pretty fast.

Just a reminder that DEX does not influence the skill critical rate of skills other than yuls and othels. They have a passive skill which give them that correlation between dex and skills. For the others classes like tyrr/iss... it does not work.

I did my own testing with skills and even changing SA's, ap skill, pom and abundance buff, the skill rate is so low on normal skills that the change was almost imperceptible. ( i didn't test with focus enchantment though). The landing rate was always something around 10-20% for most skills, only sonic star and infinity strike had a 40-60% rate. I did a 100 rounds for every skill and i really got disappointed. At least for me as Dreadnought auto attacks for aoe is still the best option.

    Unfortunately you're right about DEX.

It seems you need to read my post again. I said nothing about kill speed. Kill speed is subjective. Fast to you could be slow to someone else. I simply said that a Lv.101 DD with mediocre gear could solo EV. I would know b/c I've tried it with Eviscerator, Ghost Sentinel/Hunter, Dreadnought (aoe'ing 2-3 groups simultaneously), Storm Screamer, Seer, Grand Khavatari & Titan. It was even possible @ Lv.100 with my boxed Iss assisting with debuffs at this level after completing Penny's quest in Blazing last year.

It all boils down to understanding game mechanics & the class you're playing. I'm not a "know-it-all". I've never claimed to be one. I just know what I've tested. I only have mediocre gear. I don't spend thousands on this game. I don't have any bloody +8/+10 armor or +12 weapons.

Every time I make posts similar to this, there's always a person, like yourself, projecting that someone is a "know-it-all" & claiming something is untrue or impossible. I could even submit screen shots & videos but still get accused of fakes or photo shop. Simply b/c that person can't figure out how it's done on their own.

I don't grind like before anymore. The game isn't what it used to be. I'm a casual player now. I took advantage of the last server boost & leveled 12 of my favorite toons from Lv.101 to Lv.105 in less than 2 hours each. And no... I didn't spend all 1.8 hours each in EV & didn't buy Ncoin.

    Are you serious?  Honest question because this was your FIRST post in this thread;

"What level is your Eviscerator? At Lv.101+ every DD with basic mediocre gear not bought from L2 store should be able to solo EV."

It is so utterly misleading that I thought your intentions were simply to be "high and mighty."  Can you really blame me?  Come on man; lets assume you are a new player and you were to read this.....  You go out to EV at 101 with your "basic" gear and it takes you 60 seconds to kill 1 mob.  I guess technically you're right but, as I stated, it is a completely misleading statement.

    So, why even make?

That's simply untrue. I initially pushed 3x Evis mentees through 105 (for Atlas) and even when they hit 104 and had the Enhanced Fist they still killed pretty slow.  I switched to yul because they are faster btw.

I'm not sure what your definition of "basic" gear is but I feel confident it's not enough to effectively full solo (self buffs) EV on a 101+ Evis.  Plains is faster because of kill speed. Sure when SM is up they can kill fast but without additional reuse items it's just not up enough.  Also just because they won't die doesn't meet my definition of "soloing" if they are killing so slow the XP is garbage.

I kinda think your just being contrary to seem like a know-it-all. Why dont you just post a video and prove me wrong. It takes an hour or so to hit 101 and I`m sure you can come up with some "basic" gear...

EDIT:  My Evis was 105 at the time of the initial post; 107 now.

Am i missing something shouldn't you as a MS without dex tats be maxed out on crit rate and atk speed?  Skill crit rate is that effected by dex also we were having this discussion before in clan trying to figure out what i should be pushing since my str is high already as a DE.

DEX increases Skill Crit Rate (chance); the goal is to max rate with DEX and focus all equipment into Skill Crit Damage.  STR also increases crit dmg/skill crit dmg but not as a modifier, only as a function of P.Attack.

I don't agree, you are basing yourself using the top 1% of the server....... they have multiple +30 forgotten skills and others OP itens.
if u see a 1x1 or 7x7 with only 1%, the pvp will take a while.......... with the top 10%, idk maybe 200b toon, will be the same thing ( if all are in the same "range" ofc)
i have a 150b toon and can play nice in the olly with others +-150b players..... i 1shoot 30b toons and get 1shoot by 1T+

the right thing that nc should do was to close the gap between the top 1% and the rest, but they do exactly the opposite.
look at this event now ..... 200b+ to get a lvl 4 wings whos give s* stats, yet the 1% will try get.... while 90% of the server won't even try it once for lvl 2 because it costs 4b for a 30% chance and for what?! 2% deb. resist, 1,5k HP (this is a sick joke), 1% atk or m. atk or p.def/m. def and +1 stats.
why not, at least, 60/50/40/30% and don't let the get increase even more?!

it's complicated top cap players players who have years in the game or have spent "a car".

the ncwest NC is based in other regions where it has hundreds of dragon weapons, epic/heaven talismans, god jewl, greaters gems.
they just choose to ignore our reality.

OK, let me try this one more time and I'm going to be as direct as possible.

With few, few excepts the ONLY influence NCNA staff has on this game is in regards to L2 Store items, promos, and events.  If you want to see some semblance of balance its probably going to come from the L2 store (unfortunately).  Having said that, the only realistic solutions are easily accessible (affordable) items which decrease damage.  Another good change they could implement which wouldn't hurt their profits would be to make L2 store promo items have diminishing returns the higher you get them.  For example, make it easy to obtain Greater Gems but harder to level them higher AND, make the difference between a lv1 and a lv10 relatively small.

  11. I'm pretty sure the Oly Ring gives P. Skill CD as well.  Also you don't HAVE to get a +6 Angels; +5 gives 10% Skill CD.

Some may disagree but i think your better off trading your +6 mixed r110 set for a +8 r99 Bloody Light Set.

    Go +15 DEX Dyes

If your feeling lucky go for +11 on your cloak; that's when Elmores start getting their P. Skill CD bonus.  At +11 it's only 3% but that's still something.  Maybe even try to trade your +10 and adena for a +11/12/13.  People always under value cloaks which aren't +15.

Get a Skill CD Aug on your weap BUT, it doesn't have to be 20% (yet)

    Mid LS = 7.5%

    High = 10%

    Top = 15%

    Super = 17/20%

If you spend 1b on Mids you are almost certain to get a 7.5% Skill CD Aug.  Others will trash it while they are still trying to get their 17/20%.  Get a 7.5% and save for when you can do 20+ Supers or spend that adena on getting your bow +12.

  12. 2 hours ago, MrE said:

ok, lets say they remove HP cap, whats max hp? 200k? 300k?

Ok lets add in say.. max decrease in damage from bows... 80%

I have a pdef as an SWS of around 75k, I have song of protection 80k, Song of archery, - 50% damage and more defensive - crit and crit damage you can shake a stick at.. My record.. for damage is over 2 million.

So lets say I have 350k Hp and 100k Cp. I have 80% damage reduction against archer.  The way NC soft does damage reduction isnt a true 100% damage reduction, if it were .. and you have 100% damage reduction.. it would be at 0. From what I can tell.. 100% damage reduction = 50% if you take 100% less damage it equates to half of what it originally was.

So with that in mind (and if someone has more correct stats please tell me) lets just ASSUME 80% damage is really 80% less damage. If An archer crits for 2mil. an 80% reduction will be 1.6 mil. I'm still taking 400k in damage. WITH Song of archery up. that leaves me 50k.. I survived.. until their second skill shot that will drop me..  any time that song isn't up.. dead.. every time.

Not to mention, what about the smaller clans? The people who dont have 10k to spend on new gear? the playing field needs to be brought back down to earth. Your suggestion enables NC soft to create 100 more items at a 2% chance to obtain through gambling.. err I mean loot boxes like this current event. Which I am honestly sick to death of.

I wasn't talking about what SHOULD happen; I was making a suggestion about what COULD "possibly" happen.  NC West has very little power to make structural changes to the game; that is all controlled by Korea.  BUT, if they were to suggest some type of revenue generating item which could help balance NCNA, that might actually happen.

Having said that, I'll reiterate, the only realistic way we will see a "fix" is with the introduction of specific damage type reduction items which force players to choose what type of damage they want to minimize.  Obviously everyone would choose Bow/Crossbow reduction..... and that would be fine as well.

  13. OP suggestions will not happen.  A more realistic idea would be to remove HP cap and implement some type of weapon specific defensive items/features.  For example; 4 new types of Mysterious Dyes which reduce either bow/crossbow, dagger, other melee, or magic damage by say 25% (or close to that).  30 day and only one can be used at a time. Ofcourse it will be an NCoin item but that's probably the only type of "solution" we can hope to get.

  14. 2 hours ago, ProDigY said:

Nope. I'm asking for AoE skills. Summoners used to have AoE capabilities. Like I said before in my original post. But then, for some reason, they were taken away.

Wait what?  You literally asked for skills "similar to" Corpse Burst, Multiple Arrow, Heavy Arrow Rain, and Mass Lightning Strike???  I guess we can just agree to disagree.

  15. 2 hours ago, ProDigY said:

Nah.... I will never accept the status quo. Never in a video game or IRL. Not an option for me. Throughout 17 years of playing this game, I've seen classes get neglected & nerfed but then boosted later to OP status. This is why I'm asking @Juji, @Hime & @Cyan to bring this up to the Devs. Just like other classes in this game's past, the summoner class, too, can be reincarnated.

For now, summoners are only missing their usefulness in party settings & lacking significant AoE damage. The Devs could bring back Mass Summon Phantom CubicMass Summon Phantom Cubics & give the newer servitors AoE skills. For examples: Dark Crusaders could use something similar to Skill 1155 16.jpgCorpse Burst &/or a Skill 10513 1.jpgBarrage of Nails type skill. Banshee Queens could be given a skill similar to the Yul's Skill 10771 1.jpgMultiple Arrows &/or Skill 10772 1.jpgHeavy Arrow Rain. Another servitor that operates like a tank with a shield would be cool too. It could be something similar to the Nightshade with a Skill 10027 1.jpgSuperior Aggression Aura & Skill 10094 1.jpgMass Lightning Strike Skill but equipped with a shield & cutter.

As a long time Maestro I feel your pain, I really do.  I had to switch classes to level up and then switch back when I reached a plateau.

Having said that....... your not asking for AOE capabilities (for the most part), you're asking for RANGED AOE abilities.  I'm not really sure the class has ever been designed for that (except classic ES).  Yes, it would be nice if you had some limited AOE abilities but... Wynns are "supposed" to be kings of solo XP right?  If anything, your single target DPS should be boosted to the point where you can hunt pinks and reds.

  16. You guys trashing the Op are simply wrong.  And, I think you are acting this way because it gives you some kind of twisted satisfaction to trash another player.

As others have already stated, when "end game" moves higher then, lower level gear/skills should be easier to get.  Hell, we see this with the whole Exalted quest/reward system.  Besides, we already have a new EXTREMELY hard to get skill item (Improved Rune Stone) so why not make the older whens easy to get.

I mean really, is it gonna hurt anyone if more beginner players can actually learn all their skills at 105.....

EDIT:  And you haven't even addressed the fact that the latest patch made it HARDER to get them.  Come on; that is ridiculous.

Octavis is fine; your goal is 2x 15% Crit Dmg Rings, 2x VR Earrings, and a Skill Cooldown Necklace.  Literally the most cost effective is Using the Paulinas Twilight Crit Dmg Ring, VR Earring, and Skill Cooldown Necklace.  Then get either a Ring of Creation or an Oct Warrior Ring.  For your 2nd Earring you can get an Oct Warrior Earring or try to find one of the Special Resistance Olympiad Earrings.

  18. I was on the fence about an E.Shadow weap versus the Exalted.

It basically came down to this; Is +150 Element Attack, +5% P.Attack / 2% PvE Dmg (Tyrr SA), and the ability to augment worth 10b-12b?

Another thing to consider is that with E.Shadows and/or Exalted weap you will max Attack Speed and Crit Rate (on an entry level Evis).  You won't be able to do that with a traditional SA'd weap unless you nerf your potential damage by getting haste/focus SA's.

I believe these are the best cost effective items for your build.

I`ll keep an eye out for a belt but I'm not sure I can get artifacts. The npc only sells 2 kinds I think and there are only a handful on the market. Even if I was willing to pay what people are asking I'm not sure there is even enough to fill 1 book.

    Thanks for all the advice.

I know most tyrr's go light armor for PVE, just making sure it's the same for maestro?  The +7/+8 enchant bonuses look better on light, the passives don't look like they'd make a difference for most pve, attack speed is maxed either way, but just making sure I'm not missing something (does the extra pdef of heavy matter?).

TBH either is fine.  For the most part light bonuses are better.  However, you will get slightly more normal crit dmg from a hvy set (3% on r99, 5% on r110).  Will that make up for the superior OE bonuses of light, IDK.  It shouldn't be to hard to max out attack speed and crit rate with either as well.

It does seem as though the devs are pushing Tyrrs towards hvy though.  They added Dagger/Bow Resistance to our Heavy Armor Mastery Passive Skill.  I think we can all agree (as Tyrrs) that archers are just the worst :).  When you get 106 you will also have the ability to hunt yellow/light red mobs.  If you go the light route PDef might be an issue.

  21. Good call on the Oct Warriors Neckalce; forgot it adds P.Attack.  I'm using the free boss jewel packs ATM but when they run out I'll grab one.  One of the Paulinas Rings gives 15% CD so I only need a second CD ring and the Creation gives 3% P.Attack.

As far as leveling the dual goes; I'll want to siege and PvP in the furture.  If I want to be in a decent group I'll be on my Iss so I'm gonna get it 107.  Additionally, there will be new Dual Skills in the next update (or one after that).

  22. I suppose a  Maestro could go the Skill Crits route if you wanted to try AOE but with the new skill I think your better off hunting high HP single target mobs.  Using a 1h blunt with just auto attacks from you and your golem you'll plow mobs.  It's really OP.  The skill procs 3-4 on almost every mob.  Add in +10 Last Attack (penalty) and you can really hunt above your weight.

  23. I realize my idea of "budget" will greatly differ from what others might think but please put it in context.

So I came back about a month ago and have been focused on my main (107 Tyrr).  My dual is a 105 Iss and I've geared up an alt Evis to help get my Iss up.  I've dropped about 40b into the Evis and I think I've gotten just about everything I can before having to spend large amounts of Adena on single items (20b+).  I've been away for almost 2 years so I might be completely oblivious to some stuff.

    Here's what I got so far; let me know if I'm missing anything reasonably affordable;

All the free Exalted Gear (also all the free time limited anniversary stuff)

    E.Shadows w/Tyrr SA and 7.5% CD Aug

    +5 Noble Authority

    +8 Bless TW Light Set

Super Advanced Seed Bracelet Stg. 1

+5 Scorpio (I'll add a +5 Leo when Juji runs out)

    Longing

    Anakim

    +5 Elmore

    Creation Ring

    +12 Atlas

    +10 Distortion/Steel Mind

Evis got a nice boost and, with just this gear, I can full solo EV and have to wait on mobs.  Anyway; let me know if i am missing anything around the edges.  I'm not going to buy any big ticket items; that stuff is reserved for my main.
