Learning everything the hard way is expensive

As the title says i feel the need to vent to the community a bit as i am sure you have all felt this pain. I feel like i want to level up as fast as i can and im running into gear issues, so i am trying to learn everything as fast as possible. this game is very deep and requires alot of knowledge and experience or you end up burning thru money faster than imaginable.

I just enchanted all my archer skills with Focus, coulda sworn i saw that was the way to go somewhere but now i have new info from a post in archer forum that break is the way to go. so im going to have to change all my skill enchants at a cost $$$

I bought an eye patch for dex thinking it would fit in the other hair accessories slot, it does not. cant keep circlet and eye patch together.

i bought a thing that i forgot the name of but looks like a pentagram necklace that says is can be equipped with the eye patch, but does not work.

I had +5 eternal LA that isnt really good enough for anything but i needed to try it to find that out.  saw a good deal on +6 R110 armor so i stole adena from all my other toons and bought the armor, i was so excited till i put the armor on and my stats dropped. WTF. So now i need to enchant armor to try to get my stats up and i already know that is a expensive rabbit hole to go down.

making many mistakes with the leonas and kains crystal on my weapon and have to redo those a few times cost me $

Also playing drunk sometimes does not help my cause, example:

I saved up dex dyes and went to the symbol make and made the symbol. i thought i could just equip a symbol but it equips the symbol for you, problem was i was on my dual so it put the symbol on my dual, lol so i had to remove the symbol it cost me half my dyes. i could have kept dex on my othell but im reading str is what othel needs. and i cant afford to put dye on main and dual anyway.

the list goes on and on so i have a level 105 archer with low gear but i have probably spent enough for 3 toons at that gear level to get there. very expensive learning curve.

If possible can u provide screenshots of your weapon, jewels, brooch jewels, talismans, dyes and such here? How much dex do you have? How often do your skills crit? make a test before changing skill enchants.

Enchant path for yull is correct, dont change it.

Regarding equipment, sometimes over the years i had to take a break from L2....after i come back in game rule number 1 is to do not spend any money untill you are 1000% sure of what you are doing. Read forum, red next updates what bring and see if the changes have impact on your toon...
Here some tips:
-Its a very good chance that we will get in next update Paulina R99 sets,weapons for free....I saw the stats, its actually a very good equipment.>>>smart ppl sell fast R,R95,R99 sets&weapons(low enchanted ones)
-Its a medium-low chance that we will get Dragon shirt for adena ingame>>>smart ppl stock dragon enchants
-Its a medium-low chance that we will get Jewels to be crafted>>>smart ppl dont buy ncwest super expensive packs from store, they wait update.
-if you are ISS or Spoiler>>>you better start cry with crocodile tears on forum and petition JuJi, your class is about to become extint.

Hi Degamad, I would like to firstly point you out that there is not a single person playing a game who can claim that they never made a mistake ! So please don't beat up your self ! At the end is just a game , you can try what ever you want . 

> Enchanted Skills. ( I would say that Focus probably is best ) , but even if you want to change them you  just need superior giant codex discipline . ( pm me if you are in Naia i can give you 10 for free )

> Now that people sell the old pendants, for Archer good compo is  - > +3 Dex - 5% p atack. if you find somethin cheap get that. sell everything else. you can of course keep the Circlet of authority and in the long term make it nobless, but be carefull to make it +5 is a huge adena sink. For the time being i would stay as you are. Only accesory that can be equiped together with the Circlet are : 1) all Single Slots accesories but with NO Stats ( Only augmented ) 2) Saviors Mask ( Another adena sink if you try to +++  ) 

> For PVE fun you can hunt even 107 mobs with a + 8 Twilight set. you can grab one Blessed and Full Attributed for 5-6 Bill. The + 8 gives you 2 great bonuses ( SKill mastery and 10% Skill cool down ) . R110 is only for the 1% of the server who can actually fully upgrade it.

My STR is 117 and my DEX is 77

i have 2 +5 DEX  Symbols

i can screen shot my stuff when i get home and log in.

i have brooch level 2 and need 450 gem powder to make level 3

gems are ruby3, emerald 2, diamond 2, pearl 2, and i think garnet 2? not sure about the last one but it gives attack attribute +20

as stated above i have +6 R110 LA

my bow is R99 +12 bloody, with fire 7, speed fire 9, Tyrr

jewelry is ? low better than paulinas but just barely, i have to log on to list.

level 105 YUL GS main and 103 Othel GH dual

So i need to change my DEX dyes on archer to what STR like my Othel? Damn another mistake thats going to cost me lol.

How do i equip the pendant i cant figure it out. it says i need eye patch or rabbit ears etc to equip but i cant get it to equip.

can't equip that if u have a circlet and u really should be using a circlet

you should aim for authority circlet with savior mask combo

Ok i have the circlet you get when you turn 100. it gives STR +5. when i use my Yul i have been equipping a eye patch for DEX coz everyone says archer only needs DEX.

if thats wrong i will only use Circlet,

Also im being told to switch my DEX dyes on my archer to STR dyes, is that true?

use 2 +5 dex dye... u can find the "last 3 dex "in cloak/longinq/shirt/emerald 3 in future...

ultimately you will want to have a +5 Radiant Circlet of Authority with a +5% PVE damage augment but for now just aim for a noble one with a +3 / +4 savior mask and slowly build it up

keep the dex symbols and add one +5 str symbol. 450 gem powders to make lvl 3 jewels does not sound right. u should be compounding to make level 3 jewels not using powders. i suggest using ruby,opal, and if possible a red cats eyes for dmg if not add a diamond. Your bow is very good, does it have an augment? If i were you i would keep the focus enchants on your skills. Do not rush for top gear items take it slow and try to enjoy the game.

Hi again Degamad. 

Your weapon looks solid so this is a good start ( try to get 15% P Skill Critical Damage ) might cost you couple of Bills but the damage boost worth it . 

Your dyes are also ok, no need to waste more money now. ( 117 Str and 77 Dex is pretty balanced ) .

Make sure all the skills you use are at least + 10 enchanced . 

Jewels can boost your damage a lot. if you can afford it get a 30 days Rare accesory pack and try different set ups to see highest damage output. For example Octavis Warrior Necklace vs Blessed Valakas will give you around 15% more damage (  50K damage with Octavis Vs 58K damage with B Valakas ) . But you need to prioritize . Octavis warrior neclace is around 1-1.5B, but Blessed Valakas will set you back around 30-35 Bill atm. 

Remember Ln2 was designed as a grind game, so it requires patience and time. Of course due to the Pay to Win lately , someone can throw $ 1500.00 and get +10 Bloody set , +12 weapon + Full epics in 10 minutes. It took me 1 Year to Bless my Valakas necklace back in 2014 but it was a rewarding moment . 

A Ruby lvl 3 and opal lvl 3 will be a decent damage b00st .  ( 2-4 % ) . Red Cat is great but extremely expensive ( i wouldn't bother at this stage ) 

At the moment there are not cheap Noble stones in the market to nobless your circlet, so wait for it. Altough might me cheaper to buy a +5 Noble authority rather than try to make it. NCsoft enchant rates are not the best. ( Last week a +5 Noble authority was sold for 12B , imo very good price ) . Circlets are better than even Dual stat accesories cause of the Attribute attack. 

And all the above are just basic. The you have so many things to throw your adena at. Venir Stage 15 ( preferably ) , Abudance lvl 1 , Longing Talisman ( Insanity if you can afford ) , 7S Talisman ( Attribute attack bonus ) . 

Ultimatetly it's your decesion how you want to progress in the game. The quide mentioned above is pretty good to follow ( some things out of date cause of new items introduction ) . 

Remember it's a game , enjoy it as much as you can with what ever you have

ok i will to learn how to weapon augment. any advice?

my skills are +6 at the moment so i will boost those up to +10

i have combined rubies to make a lvl 3, all others are lvl 2 but with this event i can get more jewels to combine ... i think.

i got a lvl 20 venir from fortune card event, i have base lilith , and base abundance-morale. i can work on those.

i saw a noble for 13b last night might be a good deal but i dont have that kind of money right now.

i also got the book to open artifacts and got a cheap +1 p skill crit damage to test out how that all works.

should i save up for +10 armor or try to upgrade my +6?

This is great advice.

If i augment and it gives lets say for the sake of argument +M.Def instead of something i need then i remove it and start again, keep doing that till it randomly give bonus that i like?

yeap. it's trial and error. completely random to get the augment you need. Like I said before maybe wait for an event where you don't have removal fee. cause it costs 8.5KK every time you remove the augment

Tried 5 times and got CP+720 and Pskill crit damage +5.25% with top grade stone.

feeling like i should stick with that or keep going for something better?

also you mentioned you use high grade and top grade stones, do they stack? should i get some high grades or more top grades? im a little confused.
