Also, not NcWest is doing the modification, but NcSoft from Korea. NcWest is just hosting the servers. But nevertheless, again, they are the same company! Uhm, I believe you didn't quite get the joke. Innova/4game have been an officially licensed 3rd party Lineage II service provider back from Throne 1 (kamael release), NCwest back from the beginning (obviously as it is a branch and not a 3rd party). Everyone knows that, there is no point in being captain obvious. NCWest is not doing any modifications just like Innova is not doing any modifications (they have gamecoast for that). So yes, NC HQ adjusts the international base build (server/client) to fit the regional business models and effectively metagames. However, the metagame that NCwest has requested for classic looks like… Well, it just looks like a sad private server, where thanks to the feature mix you can never know if things are the way they are intended to be or there was an oversight with regards to something (imagine spoiling a mob for weeks just to find out it's not that the spoil rate is abysmally low, it's just that they (Korea) mixed up with the features and forgot to move the item to the monster's spoil list). The fact that the player maintained databases (powerbooks in far east, wikis in EU/RU) all belong to other regions also add further confusion on what to expect. Only downside of the current classic is spoil/drop/adena . Anyway , this is what they should focus on and update. Everything else looks pretty much classic to me.
