I have read the update notes, and still feel these complaints are more valid than ever.
Imbalances that completely ruin othell class for pvp/mass pvp:
(These statements assume equivalent gear between an othell and another player(s))
(These statements are not referring to the Olympiad where many of these limits/things are in place)
- Legacy Agathon, these legacy items that are now completely unobtainable give unfair advantages to all players in the games current content state. Such as but not limited to Rock, Dash, Bountiful resurrection etc. Please remove these items or significantly increase the cooldown timers on these so they cannot be abused against players that are unable to obtain them now.
- Stealth Detector (Clan Store item) and others classes Flare completely nullify an othell's one specific class ability to be in hide it's is the only advantage our class has to compete in any type of pvp. Players abuse this by putting many stealth detectors on boxes across the field and spam their use. Suggestion Remove Stealth Detector from store, and significantly increase cooldown of flare skills on other classes to at least give our class a chance to pvp.
- Hide Cooldown timers are too long. With the above mentioned items, and an othell's lack of p.def / evasion overall. Not allowing an othell a method of escape as all other classes have (dash, guts, ud, seer insta hide, mana barrier, giant barrier, etc.) completely imbalances our classes ability to evade any pvp situation overall.
- Evasion cooldown time is excessive (when compared to other classes skills being able to be up nearly 100% of the time, Steel mind, yul (evasion+dash+flash+blueshirt+despa+hide), guts, etc), and evasion Success % is too low when compared to other classes and their specific skills, especially in mass pvp. All other classes with aoe simply despa/blue shirt, stand on spot aoe with sonic star, eruption, phoenix arrow, etc until our short lived evasion skills wear off, and dash to us to kill us. Othell's have no counter to this, and it's completely unbalanced. Suggestions, either lower the cooldown timer on hide or evasion or increase the % success of evading attacks, or give us a non target specific dash skill. Additionally othell does do significant damage but the massive damage reductions other classes have and time they are immune to our damage are no where close to balanced.
- Many skills of ours that would assist us in pvp NEVER land, paralyze, Flash, Flare Bluff, Counter Flip, etc. Fixing these skills would allow for a more balanced pvp experience.
Summary:
- Overall if NCsoft has no desire to fix the Othell to be a viable pvp class and update their skills to be competitive with all other classes, i hope they implement the ability for us to exchange dragon weapons for another type and change class.
-NCsoft has given all other classes Damage now and survivability, while ignoring othell.
-- Tanks get lots of damage and minutes of ud/damage avoidance
-- Tyrr have more damage now and long periods of skills to avoid or negate damage.
-- Mage have massive skills to negate damage (mana barrier) while they aoe and regain mana.
-- Yul They now have dash nearly perma + ranged damaged increases to keep them away from damage.
-- Healers get a new barrier to absorb damage
-- ISS gets more defensive skills
-- Othell gets a damage skill is all..
All content updates increase mob difficulty and attack damage, we as othell gain no defense/evasion to continue in this enviornment.
