  1. If extending this event means that we delay further Red Libra on Live server, then no, please don't extend it. I'm already up to my ass in Nightmare fragments that I don't need. I'll be really pissed off and depressed if I go the entire 5 weeks or whatever winning only fragments.
  2. Buy the basic Kaliel bracelet from the Seed Talisman Manager in Aden. They cost 10M and you have to enchant them using Bracelet enchants, which shouldn't cost that much, since they dropped all of the time in a previous event and you can get them as a normal drop from one of the instances. Each enchant level unlocks a bonus. You have to upgrade them once you reach +5 to Greater Kaliel, and then at +5 again to Top Kaliel. At the Top level +5 you get all stats +1 and bonuses to HP (+1000), PDef/MDef (+7%), Patk/Matk (+7%), and Kaliel's Protection, which is a skill that absorbs about 75000 damage for 10 or 15 seconds. I forget which. The Lucien Bracelet cost 100M plus 480 Night frags. The bracelet enchants costs 500M plus 240 Night frags each. Very few people get them to +10 though during a single event period. Good luck if you decide to try.
  3. Ok, guys let's calm down. Why is it everyone ignores the obvious? Every DD that I know rolled an ISS for buffs. Every single one. If DD players can roll an ISS for situations that call for it, why haven't you guys rolled a DD for situations like this event and countless others? I don't want to hear, "We shouldn't have to." This game has been around for years and it hasn't changed its approach to support classes. In most events support are operating severely handicapped against DDs. You are smart people and you know this. That wall you keep hitting your head against ain't moving. But you keep ramming anyway. Madness! Stop complaining, go create a DD and make the situation work for you. You can get to 105 in 2 days. In 5-6 hours, if you are willing to buy XP boosts and Abandoned Mine recharges. Give yourself a chance to win. And no, the Lucien Bracelet is NOT the top prize. It's the pricey concession. A Top Kaliel bracelet is better, cheaper, and more easily had. So stop farting around with that. It's not even worth a dry heave, let alone your tears. You should be after bigger game. And if you do win one of those top prizes, then you can use the proceeds to improve your support character, or whatever. But give yourself a fighting chance. Don't expect NCSoft to change their philosophy for you any time soon. Spoiler alert: they won't.
  4. I mentioned this in the other thread, but no question, most ISS and support are just doing this event for participation points. The mobs are too hard at all levels for them, unless they have top gear.
  5. Just for the heck of it I went in with my 107 Yul Ghost Sentinel alt. Equipment and specs: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Exalted armor and Cloak Enchanted Exalted Thrower +2 Noble Circlet Authority 30 day Boss Jewels with +12 Atlas Earring 1 Greater Ruby (30 Day), normal jewels level 3 emerald and opal, level 1 diamond +4 Greater Kaliel Bracelet Talisman Longing, Exalted Talisman Dragon Shirt (not enchanted) Emperor Cocktail buffs, Santiago Soup, Honey Beer, Shining Dragon Attribute pots, outside Prophecy buff which only lasts 5 minutes Taurus agathion bracelet for BR No artifact stones or boosts of any kind All of my attack archer skills are enchanted to +12 (Impact, Multiple Arrow, Heavy Arrow Rain), except Pinpoint and Quickshot which are +13 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In short, I used a character with a basic setup. Most 105-107 people in game should have these items by now minimally; hopefully, better. I entered Stage 1 the lowest level, got in range of mobs, which were widely spaced out across the room, played my favorite XP song ..the Ghetto Boys "My Mind Is Playing Tricks on Me", clicked on my macro, and watched the outcome. The room starts off with normal mobs. When you kill them, they have a chance to turn into the Void or Doppler mobs. Both the normal mobs and Void/Doppler are hard to kill with the above equipment. They also hit you pretty hard. My first and only thought was that there was no way a support class with basic gear can do Rim. They won't be able to kill one of the normal mobs, let alone the Void/Doppler that appear after you kill that mob. When the 10 minutes had expired, I scored ~2500, which was enough to earn me an award box. No strategy, no top gear, but I still got a chance to win a prize. Having said that, I am sober to the reality that Stage 2 and Stage 3 where the really good prizes are can't be done by my 107 Yul alt in basic Exalted gear.
  6. First, we have to hope that they don't decide to introduce something new and better than Dragon shirts. If they get desperate for cash, I can see it happening. That would drive lots of players to reach for their wallets and give them an excuse to quietly sunset Dragon shirts. Secondly, we have to hope that they are able to bring back Dragon shirt event. Hosting events seems to be a problem after the upgraded the server was installed. It's why we haven't had Red Libra on Live servers in a very long time.
  7. 10 minutes? Safe bet that a level 100 will die in seconds against mobs designed for 115+, even in R110 PVE.
  8. Scratch that. It's Red Libra for Classic only. Son of a b****!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Check the main website page. Everything is up now. Rim Kamaloka, Red Libra and more!
  10. That's like saying, "When was the last time a party other than Democrat or Republican was President?" It doesn't mean laws should be changed to ensure that only Democrats or Republicans can be President. What you propose, however well intending, would accomplish just that. You'd stop your enemy, but you'd also screw everyone else, ensuring that only your side gets dragons ***cough*** "fair and square" **cough*** . You guys already know who your enemies are. Kill them. Don't wait for Dragon raid. Kill them. Don't be scared by PK count and consequences. Kill them. Don't wait for War declarations or any other sappy game mechanics to keep you from doing what needs to be done. Kill them, de-level them, discourage them, break their wills. Considering all the crying that we've seen lately from all of you "elite" clans, that shouldn't be too hard. But stop asking the GMs to help calm seas, raise sails and blow stiff breeze on your backs. It's pathetic. Frankly, it's beneath you.
  11. I have an idea for a Thursday event. It's called Paagrio's Piñata. The GMs are being punished by Paagrio and have to log in and go to Fantasy Island, their inventories overflowing with all stages of Dragon Weapons, stage 2/3 God jewels, +20 cloaks, +21 though +30 R, R95 and R110 weapons, Greater Jewel boxes, Treasure Chests that give you 20B adena each when you open them, and similar awesome prizes. The GMs can't leave FI for the duration of the event. Players are given a special no grade hammer with a stun (fighter types) and root (mage and support) debuff skill that lasts a random time between 5,15 and 30 seconds. The goal is to catch the GM and beat the crap out of them, forcing them to drop all of their loot before the debuff wears off. Sounds like fun, yeah? Well, there's a catch. If a GM isn't killed before the debuff timer expires, the GM "levels up" and gains a skill to help him survive longer. First stage is "Camouflage", which is really just a debuff resist skill that makes it 10% harder for your stun/ root to land. Second stage is Hide, which functions just like the normal hide skill with a shorter duration. Third stage is All Weapon Ultimate Resist, which acts like Celestial Shield. At the Third stage don't bother hitting them, because you won't do any damage. Finally, at the Fourth stage the GM gets Mass Disarm. It is an AOE that breaks the weapons of nearby enemies. It has five times the range of most normal AOEs. You will not be able to equip your event hammer for two minutes if a GM casts that on you and it lands. The more levels a GM has when you crack open his skull, er, piñata, the better the prizes. Each level up stage lasts only 60 seconds, so if you coordinate your attacks with others just right, everyone has a chance to win something nice.
  12. Speaking of weapon restoration, the amount of R Grade crystals in the market is also affected by this policy. The GMs take the crystals when they restore the weapon, so unlike in the past, when there is a major enchanting event, the market isn't flooded with low price R crystals. It sucks for you. But to original question... I suggest go fishing. Sell the fish to afford enough to start a Buy R grade crystal shop. If you have constant buyers for your shots, you will eventually be able to sustain your business simply by buying R crystal at a low price, then sell the shots with a little mark up to cover your expense plus profit. If you're really patient, you can also hunt mobs that drop Treasure chests. Those treasure chests sometimes have full armor parts, shields, sigils, etc., when you open them. You can then crystallize those drops. No, I am not saying that you get those drops often. But enough people have gotten chests with full armor parts that I can confidently say it does happen.
  13. They really need to make weapon exchange a permanent feature of the game. Especially if we are only going to get 2 Red Libra events a year. This is ridiculous!
  14. The only safe thing to do is not enchant. Automatically assume that it has been broken before. The higher the enchant level, the more likely that it was broken. Also, apply some logic. If you see 8 or 9 bows in the AH that are +16 or higher, but you don't see any Gold save coupons for sale, then odds are high that people restored the bows that are for sale. Enchanters don't stop enchanting until something breaks. If there are plenty of Gold save coupons available you would see much less OE bows for sale, because those same enchanters would keep trying for +30.
  15. Funny you should mention, because the rumor for some time now is that the only reason why the Restoration policy was started officially was because GMs were giving special treatment to only some of their pet players, restoring items that they broke when they shouldn't have. Eventually word of this special treatment got out and people were pissed off about it, as you can imagine. You can't have one set of rules for one group, but bend the rules for others, especially when the "others" were already elite level players with top gear.
  16. If the weapon had been restored once before they were wrong for restoring it again. I've been told that there is a limit to how far back they can and/or will go to review the records for restoration. It's possible 90 days ago that they didn't code the item as a restoration. It's also possible, I suppose, that they didn't care.
  17. I like the click 'n go, no PVP. The sense of entitlement is a stretch.
  18. Why? I haven't bought a single artifact box. This is one of those "events" where only a dozen or so people are buying all of the boxes and combining them up to +10 or whatever to resell at a ridiculous amount. It's just more high-priced clutter for the Auction House. If you're extending the event thinking that there will be a late rush of sales, well, let me dash your hopes now as gently as I can: Nope, it ain't gonna happen. A snowball has a better chance of lasting a day in Hell. One of the wealthier clans is quitting, and everyone else who hasn't already bought artifact boxes probably have better things to do with their diminishing discretionary funds. Sorry, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. Better luck next time. Just as long as "next time" isn't artifact boxes.
  19. I am the opposite of you with 106 Wynn main, but 108 Feoh dual. I haven't played that character much in months. It was fun when I first created him many years ago, but I got bored with both classes.
  20. Yes, but this is more the exception than the rule. Give just about any class top gear and it will seem like they are competitive PVE. But it's an illusion. If you think your Wynn is awesome, put that same equipment on a same level pure DD. They will kill faster than your Wynn, especially as you increase to higher levels.
  21. 1. Only replace the tattoos that you currently have if the Exalted Dyes offer better stats. For example, if you have three +5 STR, +1 DEX dyes, then you don't need to replace them with the Exalted Dyes that are +3 STR, or whatever. The point of Exalted equipment is to help the people who are not rich and can't really afford to upgrade stuff any other way. 2. Click on one of your tattoos and you will get the Engrave Symbol Window. You will see Symbol Effect and Seal Effect on this window. Symbol Effect depends on what type of tattoos you have and can boost your stats like HP/MP/CP, P. Def/M.Def, P. Atk/M. Atk, etc. Hover over Seal Effect to see what the extra boosts are from your dyes, including any special dyes that might have which increase P.Skill power or whatever. Using the Dye Powder activates and replenishes those extra boosts. When you click on the powder you will see your gauge increase. The gauge reduces as you hunt, so you may want to keep extra in your inventory, if you can afford it.
  22. @Arscher Minor clarification here: After the change, you will have the base racial statistics of whatever race/class you change to. So if you change from a Human to a Dark Elf, you will have a Dark Elf's STR, DEX, INT, etc.
  23. Never mind @mixa, I've spent over 50K USD over the last fiscal year. There are plenty of people who contribute to NCSoft's bottom line positively without exploiting the game. Certainly much more of us than there are of this coterie of "elite" spenders that you champion. No, we're not in the top clans (by choice), and you don't see us on siege fields, or ruining world chat with vomitous garbage all day making the game worse for others. I don't care how much someone spends, it doesn't give them license to blatantly ignore the rules. If you willingly tell the EULA to bleep off, and if you and your clan are repeatedly looking for exploits, then the hammer should drop 10,000 times more harsh than you think you deserve. Banning people who lack honor and integrity for 30 days would teach them to stop now and in the future. And don't worry, the lights won't go off. There are more than enough of us silent "big" spenders to keep the game running. The universe doesn't revolve around wealthy cheaters. They only want you to think that it does.
