xRipSaWx1 Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 Dear respected well educated and godly beeings (GM's), Somehow I noticed that when I bring my ubergeared character into battle to do some hardcore PvE, I somehow die for no reason with my CP still beeing full. I'm a lv.105 tyrr dread, plenty of buffs, plenty of Freya Ice Roses and other extras and mobs drop like flypaper.. Wait no.. I dont even feel their presence while farming them. When i'm not touching my keyboard, mouse or whatever but pay attention to my monitor.. I'm at 100% HP all the time.. No matter how many mobs.. they are simply not powerfull enough to even make mosquitobites on me. The vampiric power is insane on me char! But.. than this happens: - I walk away from my pc to take a sh*t... - 20min later when i'm done I return to my PC and see my character dead like a trampeled caterpillar. My CP still full, and the dmg report saying me the max dmg the mobs did on me was 1k a hit while I have 90k+ hp. - I calculate the total dmg done on me, based on the dmg report, and it only shows +/- 30k dmg in total. - I check if my Spirit Ores ran out, no.. not run out so I still have all my selfbuffs - I check if my Freya Ice Roses (automated) are run out... No.. I still have 100+ of them so this aint the problem either. - I check if my ubercool awesomeness Dragon Weap 1-day ran out... No.. it didn't. - I respawn my character unbuffed, and check if mobs can kill me now while I watch the screen.. No.. they simply can't.. So NCSoft, please be so kind to explain to me how my character dies always when I leave my PC for a moment.. Are you spying on me and trying to annoy me or what? Kind regards, Me. xRipSaWx1 Posted August 24, 2020 Author Share Posted August 24, 2020 @bentorero Wrong. No skills used, just the auto-attack button. The only skill I use is the mass aggro which is on macro. All the buffs are automated, all the roses, potions, etc etc are automated. For HOURS I can watch my screen and even when I do the Homunculus HP feed I simply are unable to die.. Your macro stopped running. That's why you died. It happened to me. One minute you're killing everything that moves, but then inexplicably the system hiccups and your toon just stands there not doing anything even though your macro is still green lighted. If that lasts for longer than 15 seconds and you're fighting 8 -10 mobs, you usually die if your heal pots are off. Check your damage log and you won't see anyone PK you, it was just the mobs and they didn't hit you with any crits or other special damage, just normal attacks. I'm a tyrr dread and hitting mobs with regular melee hits leeches me huge amounts of HP from mobs (vampiric). Everything else I do is just click the auto-attack button with auto-pickup etc etc.. that's it.. No attack macro's whatsoever, all buffs automated as well as everything else like freya roses, dragon xp bottles, etc. I tried again doing this with a large group of mobs (25+) in Beleth and guess what happened? They didnt even take 1% of my HP.. So, this means something is wrong with the auto-attack button NCSoft provided us with. It's also not my internet connection since I have a 1GB up/down fibre connection with near to zero latency etc. @Juji Could you have a look into this? Cuz it's really annoying me. Is just a GM killing you... or maybe a god of L2 who is punishing ur toon for a sacred reason far away from our knowledge. or maybe... just maybe... your toon die for the obvious reason: ur failing making a macro with just autoattack + provoke Take a look if u are using mouse/keyboard macro + ingame macro or use all ur skills without kill mobs and when you are in a "normal" state, kill mobs and pay attention if you can handle. But auto attack ("Auto Next Target") is the macro that I'm referring to. No separate macro or skills needed. My hunch is that stopped working and your character was standing there taking damage, not doing anything. Can you really leave your character for 10-20 minutes, or however long it takes for you to use the bathroom, and not take any damage at all? If so, you're probably hunting in too low an area anyway. Degus Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 (edited) Change auto target to close, you targeted a mob from another group that is trying to reset, so your grp beat you to death while you targeted a mob that ya couldn't kill. maybe? 2nd thought. FoW has a dragon in the grp that has farther range then my archer, a few times it has killed me while out of range of me being able targeting him. Lean Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 Maybe another tyrr or Tank just agro all mobs around to you until you get dead, this already happen to me, they keep runing around agro all mobs to me until you end up dead. Fumb Posted August 24, 2020 Share Posted August 24, 2020 If damage is done and you don't regen you keep fighting a while and then you die. For example a monster or maybe even a player cuts your hp down below the point you can regen it, then you play along, long enough for that damage to not be on your damage logs, but your hp is still low a couple a mob crits later and your toast.
