Best iss 101+ after salvation

Spent the last few days trying out the new changes to my 101 SwM main. Here are some of the things i noticied.

1: SwM Song of Assualt STACKS with Pom. (though song only lasts 30sec.)

2: SwM Aoe Debuffing= pain. To activiate that you need to be in 'Triad' state. To get triad state need to actively use Sforzando Sting+ the 2 single tgt debuffs. When those land the 'Triad' state is activated during which the other/new skills are available (Party mp regen, jump back, aoe debuff). You can only use one skill. Then repeat to use other. (ex: aoe debuff, do the 3 single debuff skills, then you can regen party mp. etc..etc)

i see the ppl complain about iss swm triad state.... maybe is because u need to be active? :D:D

Try reading also what that aoe debuff gives and also and try remember u are a support class that can buff/res/heal/mp recharge/debuff... what more can u ask?

Wasn't aware of that skill. To me that's an overkill. With so many items/buffs that decrease skill reuse time, this buff can be spammed. Can't thing anything better (along with PoM) for solo and group play.

After update Dominators are just one_skill_char - removing celestials and that's all (ok, will be honest now - that really still our best skill).  Yes , if you are 105lvl and will buff all clan with 5 lvl melodies - that is cute and nice. But if clan has 105lvl domi, im sure that almost every CP in that clan has also own iss\isses 105, so domi's mass buff on pvp isnt so important. New mass debufs with flag?  Also - nope. Skills in 10 second with mediocre chance on landing  doesnt help you a lot. Mass BR? Depend - i used that once at siege and just because I  was sure that all other 2 isses near me were afk, so didnt interfere with me  not before, neigher after.

( I think if that mass BR wouldnt have limit of iss - yes, that should be most OP skill at all in history of L2!) .

Also party buffs.  Sonatas now could be removed by 1 skill and all isses , exept Dominators, also buff sonatas in one skill. Welcome to fair play. (Also tell me someone, where on mobs we really could use cancel now with any profit? )

 

Olympiad - all depend also, but to be honest, Dominators are most reduced class now. Amazing short skills (both types - with flag and without flag) just in 10 sec, without cancel killing of sayhas posible just if them are 85 lvl and dont have brains and hands at all (fighting with all other classes, when they are all 5 min under full buff, is now also some kind of pervert pleasure).  And remember to enchant your new sonatas for +15 or you will be happy to rebuff them in worst moment of match.

 

OOOO! and best one! new harmonies  says to Dominators special "Hi!" . Common fight you did under wizard, which gave movement speed + CD + m def. All was enough for win in fight with  same or even far more stronger chars.

But now you shoudl make all time your hard choice - or knight (and you are turtle without CD) or warrior (ok, you could run now, but still without CD and you dont have damage by desing) or wizard (mmmm, ok, thanks about CD at least, really appreciate it)

Complaining?

Doomcryer:
- No mastery or passive for Shield!
- In the Olympics they say that only light Armor PvP lends in him, Heavy love say that it is a waste, inviable if one day wants to be hero. (So they're talking)
- There are no Defensive buffs like the ISS DE / E
- Neither has strong offensive Buff like POM
- They say that ISS DE and Doomcryer together are strong, in the same PT, do not know poque? I do not even know if Chant of Bison adds with POM.
The only weapon that seems to do well in the Doomcryer is 2h (Dual or 2h-weapon), because if you use a hand, there's the shield issue (to which it has no bonus)
-Sigil da + 300 ~ 400 pdef final (In my opinion a low value), what do you think?
- has no extra reduction of Cooldown, as has the hierophant.

What the Doomcryer is good at is:
- Freenzing Flame: But nothing seems to increase its damage (Normal or critical) and I do not even know if the M. Critical Rate influences the critical chance of this skill (although the Doomcryer's magic criticism is low).
- Higher PS Attributes of the ISS: This hardly helps in the Oly (F. Flame + Topaz + poly + angel + barriers), and in PvE group even less.

you who have more experience what can you tell me about the Doomcryer? Where is his strength (Gear, skills or whatever)

crying and moaning about shiny old days ;)

 

- yes, light set for less CD will be better. but if to be honest - for olympiad you need both sets  in same time  for all types of enemies (all depend on when you need more deff and when more need CD). but that isnt problem for doomcryer to be good on oly in DARK heavy set. problem with CD could be fixed in any different way - and not just straight as decrease of CD, but as more items with damage - like 4 lvl topaz\insanity kelbim\pvp cloak\whatever for faster kill of opponent. (my current iss is superb in heavy ^_^)

- again, iss is support class without any normal ability for 100% autonomous pvp . Say "Hello!" and make something nasty for eneminy - yes, able in case of very good gear/other class. On iss do pvp alone too hard (instead on tank) - you can kill nothing , but your mana for sefl-heal once gone and game over.

So gave up and use on olympiad what you have now  - "F. Flame + Topaz + poly + angel + barriers". That really way to glory - most classes you are able to win by dmg.  also remember - in mass pvp you will play very different game, what doesnt cross with olympiad at all. 

- about pvp, mass and no so crowdly. your role here - check sonatas on pt members\remove sonatas from enemies (we will be optimists here and will count that you wont die from first aoe after celestial)\give AT which wouldnt cross with 1-2 purges\be in polymorph\resurect ppl\try to give BR\do tactial retreats with pt. for all that you need as much deff as you can get - so here is way for heavy set and full CON (bracelet\dyes\other stuff). also in pvp (especially now, when no more exists chain of  UDs+celestials)  you wont have time for second br, so no need think for CD for that kind of skills.

-  again about olympiad - here will be chars, which you will be always able to kill with "F. Flame + Topaz + poly + angel + barriers". or which will kill you from 1-2 hits. give it and give up.

and remember - oly and pvp setups  for iss are very different. oly needs from you STR as much as possible (because your life depends on how your skills land), instead of pvp - where from you need CON\deff (you will use just chaos symphony and nobody cares about will it landed or not, also you should stay at back of pt, so debuffs as general things arent your bussiness).  (i hope no need to explaine that in our world of range-DDs you dont have chance to come so near to enemies without useless kamikadze-mission? )

- about your usefulness you in pt. IMHO: doomcryer is now most balanced class for mixed pt and in most cases for mili pt (because bison+ cryer's harmony) for both pve and pvp and without some special purposes (as example build on POM+2lvl harmony in homogeneous pt) .  you just need to get +15 on sonatas, or ppl will curse you - DDs have nasty behave to run somewhere far from you and miss re-sonata.

 

also your build all time depend on your CP's game . if CP will need - you will change class\race\sex\gear\whatever. so first get CP, which will pass for you, after depend on their need - build\rebuild char.

 

and last thing - in one of future updates (with part "Baltus Knights")  doomcryer as class will be deleted. will we get that update or not - knows just NCSoft. enjoy now.

 

PS: relax from that amount of theory and  nuances at last, try to get some fun from game on your class as you see this game for you.  a lot of ppl fail OP by desing classes and some ppl are OP on trash-classes. just need love your class, and other all will apply. or not.

Nice post Silverfish, what do you mean by doomcryer as class will be deleted ? In what next chronicle?Coz in Etina's End they are alive and kicking :)

Which type we will have - dont know. Or both creating chars system will be alive parallel (so nothing will change for already created chars, or they will get Chaos Essence for main\dual).

That doesnt mean that you should run now in panic and change class - just have info, that you are doomed. Again - doomcryer now is most useful and balanced class for most part of pts.

For me best combination for party these days

Hiero+SwM (35% skill crit rate and Skill crit dmg + trigger BR)

Hier+DC (25% skill cirt dmg and crit rate + 15% patak/Matak and +15% skill power and more or less Warrior harmony with -20% cooldown)

Hiero+OL (25% skill cirt dmg and crit rate + pvp debuff like cancel celest)

Hiero+BD (Warrior 2 for pvp is let's say good for dagger only but could be very good for Titan/Ertheia PvE single target)

I got it. It might be a bad interpretation...from kr link i understand that its 1 time issue aka only for implementation of this sistem.

Anyway, seems NcSoft wont have that sistem...so no worries here :)

Most of you are off topic...I think question was what ISS is the best seen from a live ISS player point of view not from the ones who benefit of our buffs.

Here some imputs...

1.Hierophant- now have only 2 atack skills except Chaos Symphony whixh have too much mp cost. Yes, Pom is nice now coz it came with another extra buff...I dont rly understand whats up with this 150 range and magic added to normal hits buff but hey, its NcSoft and they have misterious ways to do things. Overall, Hierophant become a very unconfortable class to play...only 2 atack skils with 5-6s cooldown, low defence, foreced to play wizard harmony and now wizard its not rly good for any melee class.

2.Doomcryer- Here we find many great improvements....class buff from toggle to pasive is best, 4 offensive skils+Chaos Symphony its something very good, powerfull buffs then other ISS-sonata...yes, less duration but after a while its not that anoying, last but most important..Cryer Harmony. I have nothing bad to say about Doomcryer...Its an ISS on steroids.

I played only those 2...I would like other fellows ISS to describe their class.

Ofc, a DD who benefit our buffs see things diferent...like Asachiara...but you as the one who active play the iss class what you feel?

Some good common sense mentioned here.

I play main Doomcryer and feel pretty content since the update.

I would echo some of the comments that for specialist CP set up well to complement specific did classes then SwS and BD can offer some OP benefits. This comes at a penalty in general PVE as class seem more fiddly to play.

I'm lvling a heiro for duo/trio box play with my titan. In my opinion this is all it's good for now.
