How do you expect changes in the game?

First of all, it's going to be quite a read and will most likely p*ss off lots of people, but I just think it has to be said.

Just like any game Lineage manages to pull off new and interesting updates, sales promotions, events and so on. Yes, lots of recent game "changes" were not very rewarding but instead ended up affecting bigger audience negatively. 

Sure, some things get implemented, some things get nerfed - it is what is it. Just like any other free-to-play game Lineage orients towards micro transaction and earning profit as it goes. But here is a catch....

Every player negatively affected seem to either overreact and quit or continue doing same as always - keep supporting the game and keep spending their money, then complaining and issuing negative feedback. How do you people expect to bring major game imbalances and faults by continuing spending hundreds if not thousands dollars a month? 

With latest Dragon Shirt event I kept seeing both in my clan and global chat immeasurable disappointment and complaining over fail enchanting and so on. But wait a minute... you already know game is not perfect, especially the way endgame is designed where nothing can't be achieved without swiping a fortune away from your credit card. But you STILL keep doing it? Why in the world NCSoft should care or bring any changes if they have a stable income and cash flow from naive people who keep doing same and same "mistakes" all over again and keep spending USD and supporting the broken system? The point is - people either quit or keep spending money and then crying about it over and over again. How about you make a change and stop supporting the game "p2w mechanics" and wait, just WAIT until biggest game issues are noticed and hopefully fixed. You already spent hundreds of days farming, waiting a month or two without spending a single $ should not be a problem, especially when you realize you are pouring your money into an empty bucket.

Anyhow, the moral of this story is:

NCSoft does not care if you quit or cry as long as you keep spending your juicy money within every single "event with sales tag" they deliver. Open your eyes people and start the change yourself and stop swiping your credit card, wasting your money and waiting for some magic to happen. As long as people buy - they will sell. Once major game issues are ACTUALLY brought into daylight - nothing will happen.

Where exactly do I state I am an official representative of people and NCSOFT? Forums are made to create discussions and allow you to express your issues/concerns/thoughts. As well like LordDragnil said, don't talk if you have nothing constructive to say as all of your posts is just blaming people for "crying" over something. Great idea! I will keep spending my hard earned money with NCsoft because I support their game and company. I’ve had nothing but great customer service from them. My only concern and complaint is that certain players refuse to “act their wage” and  want to compete with the “big wallets” without spending “big wallet money”…. always demanding for compensation, acting entitled, and continuously harassing the NCstaff that makes this game so great. Truly an embarrassment to the gaming community when players try and manipulate the player base to not buy ncoin, protest the staff and event coordinators by suggesting players buy from the  marketplace (which is clearly ran by Russian RMT’ers who shouldn’t even be on ncwest in the first place) all while shamelessly begging for handouts…. Oh well.. back to buying ncoin.

I will speak for myself on this issue. I have been spending 1-2 grand a month for well over a year now after coming back to this game from classic.

I have also been pretty vocal about my unhappiness with the state of the game and the ncstore the last few months. 

I keep spending because I haven't fully decided to quit. I'm still weighing that option. Spending and not spending in this game isn't a flip of a switch if you are end game and competitive. If you skip 1 item event, 1 xp event, you fall back and the choice to quit has basically been made then.

I understand your confusion on this.

However, I see myself as a paying customer who voices their opinion about a service I am unhappy about. I am fully aware I can stop spending. I am considering that in its fullest form right now. If things don't change, they will push me to not spend and move on. But I have the right to voice my unhappiness, especially as a paying customer. This is the only way we have to get changes outside of not spending, which all spenders fully understand.

If Ncsoft doesn't want to listen to our posts, they change nothing, I will move on and it will be their loss. I can find a new game rather easily, they cant find new people willing to spend 1-2 grand a month on their game anymore.

 

Edit: and no, I won't play essence or a remastered L2 where we start over with cool graphics and the same company running it. I would quit.

Please, distinguish "supporting" from "benefiting" when spending money on L2, these are quite a different things.If you would like to support the game, make a purchase to NCSoft, without the benefiting, otherwise this is largely a hypocritical.You either support L2 or you exploit the system for your own benefit.

Who is manipulating the community? I simply state that people should STOP supporting "P2W SYSTEM" and rather hope for change in that where the game mechanics do not surround about one and only thing = REAL MONEY. Buy prestige packs, buy some boosts sure, but spending hundreds of dollars just do buy a weapon is a legit meme in a game. People who say that the game is running smooth, are clearly lying ore they're brain can not process the in game world properly, this is not a game that is worth  spending money, this is just gambling not gaming, spending  xxx money and getting nothing 000 that is not money spending that is wasted  money, there are better way to spend  money  if you want to support a good  cause, here spending  moneys  only suport addiction to gambling. 

And NCSOFT doesn't do this game justice, this is not a game with a proper dev team that constantly improve the gameplay and game updates, they do not even check the game after maintenance if they installed the right updates, and rmt wtf 1 ore 2 months i got constant pm to buy from www.... and nothing happened, someone just log in and give permanent ban until no more spam, and to pay money for this? Ore to support this

this game really requires some teamwork.  most of the friends i have that try to play this game solo w/multiple boxes just dont get nearly as far as those that work closely with others.  and ofc, everyone cant be the top 1%...the 20 thousand dollar plus toons.  I know everyone thinks they can be the best in video games...but this isnt one of them.  so if cant enjoy it for what it is...cut losses and find something new.  I quit 5 yrs ago and it wasnt the money spent as a reason.  It was the 3rd party programs.  dont think that anything has changed.  on the bright side, it is possible to make alot of adena...some make trillions of adena during events...especially during the events where you oe weapons and turn in for rewards.

I CHOOSE to SPEND with ncsoft because I have expendable income. If my investment becomes worthless idgaf… because as soon as that money was spent it was gone anyways..  that is a choice made by myself…

Yeah, it's an open space for discussion, some1 saying he doesn't like something and getting answers like

Look, at the end of the day you claim you “purged” this game but you’re so addicted that you come here to grovel on the forums. Get some help buddy there’s more to life than being a forum warrior. Say what you want about me, at least I play the game and I have discussions about the game that I currently play. Why are you here? just another loser that is upset that the game doesn’t work in their favor. I started this game 15 years ago and the best advice my CL at the time gave me was “if you can’t afford to win, level up in real life and come back when you’re ready to compete.”  Best constructive advice I ever got. Came back to game 2 and 1/2 years ago and have enjoyed every moment while your salty tears continue to flood these forums.

I have given them easy to implement solutions to the game that might not even require coding changes just ticking different switches as we have seen by their missteps we know its possible.  I no longer play this game for the game i play it to hang out with my friends in place where yes I spend some money im not in the 1k a month club but i do spend some as my hobby.   I don't go to bar etc much anymore things like that this is a hobby where I bs with my friends and have fun as a group sometimes running l2 in background as play other games.

  Can we all just accept the fact its completely clear no matter how much NCSoft thinks are suggestions are great and easy implement they are not allowed for whatever reason?  Nothing we do or say will change and one day the lights we go out here just like they did with Ulitma, Everqquest Star Wars Galazies, City of Heros, and Lineage 1.  Sun will set one day and everyone will move on.

And Asheron's Call and a few others, played them all before starting Lineage ][ Open Beta... I tried to play them again, over the years(until they shut-down) but just couldn't get into any of them again, after L2.
