Shilen crystal restoration abuse

Shartu

Recommended Posts

@FireWire If I made this crystal lv10 with exploit restoration and then I sold it to for 1 kb adena, for example. is fair that I, who have committed the crime, keep the money and who has been cheated be left with a lower level crystal? With this easy example you can understand why is not fair your solution.

No... that is not fair at all...

They should ban you, delete the crystal and give the adena back to buyer.. end of story.

This, it's what the cheaters can expect and any old school player knows will happen once NC figures out what happened as this stuff has happened many times before in the past.

should ask around about the Legendary Localhost player and the story of Martelx's bow ;)

What about Martelx's bow? I don't know this story.

Please, tell us more about it. Thanks.

But what about a player that made many shilen 10 with the bug and then sold them in the game for real money by Twitch payment?

A full clan, as equipped the biggest DD with that bug, and they used the same for cloaks, will they ever be banned?

"Restore items system" cant trace enchant\fail\restore way of items, so let remove this broken option from game at all or till time when you will be ready provide fair service.
For now best way will be check all existent  Shilen's Soul lvl 6 and above , and then restore them to base level that player made 2 months ago ( Shilen's soul even t 4/30/2020 )

[Updated 5/2020] If you wish to request a Consumed Item Restoration, an Item Refund, an Item Resealing, an Enchant Fail Restoration, or an Item Transfer, we may be able to help based on the eligibility criteria below.

Please note, it's important to send your request to our support team as early as possible. If too much time has passed between the in-game event you are reporting about and your request, we may not be able to assist.

Please make sure to familiarize yourself with the below Restoration Tokens system, and read the eligibility criteria for your request before you create it.

Restoration Tokens:

  • Each NCSOFT account is granted 3 Lineage II restoration tokens twice per calendar year (3 tokens on January 1st, and 3 tokens on July 1st). These tokens do not carry over. When you receive your new tokens, all unused tokens are removed from your account. Tokens can be used for any request falling into the below restoration categories.
  • Each item or item stack restored, resealed or transferred uses 1 restoration token. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you know how many restoration tokens will be used, and how many will remain on your account before making any changes to it.
  • If an item is not eligible for a restoration, the NCSOFT Support Team will let you know in response to your request.
  • The NCSOFT Support Team reserves the right to make exceptions depending on the context of the request, and the standing of the requester's account.
  • The NCSOFT Support Team reserves the right to deny a restoration/resealing/transfer request, even if the item was eligible to be restored/resealed/transferred in the past.

Eligibility:

  • Consumed Items Restoration:
    • The item was consumed no longer than 7 days before you created your request.
    • You have enough restoration tokens on your account (one for each item or item stack).
    • Certain consumables are not eligible to be restored. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you know if your item is eligible to be restored in response to your request.
  • Item Refund:

    • The item was purchased from NPCs using but not limited to Adena and Event currencies.
    • The item must not be broken, consumed or altered.

    • Certain items are not eligible for refund. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you you know if your item is eligible to be refunded in response to your request
  • Item Resealing:
    • The item was unsealed no longer than 7 days before you created your request.
    • You have enough restoration tokens on your account (one for each item).
    • Certain items are not eligible to be resealed. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you know if your item is eligible to be resealed in response to your request.
  • Enchant Fail Restoration:
    • The item enchant failed no longer than 7 days before you created your request.
    • The item has not been restored by the NCSOFT Support Team in the last 90 days.
    • The item will be restored to its previous state but any costs associated with upgrading/compounding will not be restored (Adena/Soul Crystals).

    • You have enough restoration tokens on your account (one for each item).
    • Certain items are not eligible to be restored. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you know if your item is eligible to be reversed in response to your request.
  • Item Transfer:
    • The item was obtained no longer than 90 days before you created your request.
    • The characters must be on the same account.
    • You have enough restoration tokens on your account (one for each item).
    • Certain items are not eligible to be transferred. The NCSOFT Support Team will let you know if your item is eligible to be transferred in response to your request.

It's still clear that we are facing a system flaw exploiting by some smart players, and they are, in fact not so many. In the database each item has its own  identity , so can be found. Once again the gm will not warn all players in time and hours of this,  it must arrange their business well, and again in their bad faith, and their permanent blur, it's not said that you don't pass it from one account to another or on another weapon. It becomes necessary once again, and for all to be more precise and transparent in your actions and so establish a charter on all the penalties imposed for all abuses, and applicable to all, because all its abuses are repetitive, unhealthy, ruins the game, after all you are responsible for all this, so stop often making the players look like the culprits of your faults and errors so you have to do what is necessary for the good of.

Thanks!

Please turn off " Restore items system" temporarily to fix it and warning peoples that dont buy / sell / use Shilen's Soul lvl 10 . That item ruin this game and it cant be made without exploit " Restore tokens system " . Then delete that item from game  .

I just want to say STOP MAKING THE SHILEN CRYSTALs AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT WE BUY FROM THE STORE SO bleep HARD TO ENCHANT. There will always be cheaters, but having a 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000001 chance of success on everything that we buy is only going to make more cheaters, not more happy players.

This is not the only abuse of restoration system.
Let's show the real situation and the level of abuse going on, you need to launch a full internal investigation because what is going on right now is really bad as of this moment.

There are players who have blown up multiple times various items and they know they can just go to this system and request for specific GM's.
What you need to do is find out specific GM's who have repeatedly been asked to handle very specific restores and players, start with taking action here.

While you are at it also have a look at GM's who have a playable in-game character.
Look up their character(s) and check which clans or groups they are part of.
Now verify this against their ticket history and you will come to the shocking discovery that similar tickets have a totally different outcome depending on which group the player making the ticket belongs to.
In-game friend & enemy status actually has a very big impact on the outcome of these tickets which is very unfortunate.

Sadly it does not stop here.
Now this is a rumor i have not been able to verify myself entirely since it involves elements i will never touch (RMT).
There have been several high level very geared characters which have traded hands, it's not just one it's several.
As of this day these players go untouched, personally i don't really care much about it since the new owners usually are friendly and kind.
What however disturbs me is that i hear recently a mention that one of the GM's might be involved in this.
The characters are cleansed, sometimes renamed if they are not too high profile and no trace is left about their existence.
I have seen this particular incident happen with a few characters disappearing and a new name showing up.
Normally i would say this was the result of a ordinary name change, however name changes leave a few significant footprints, one of which that the name changed character remains in your friend list with the new name and another being that the name changes only happen on Wednesdays.
This could possibly be the harassment system - name change policy being abused to quickly launder characters outside of the normal system of name changes plus on top of that this way it does not cost them any additional money which is charged for a name change.

@Juji Good luck with your investigations to all these things.

Account Sharing

  •

Follow

Account sharing is a violation of the Lineage II User Agreement and an account can be closed for it if it’s found to have been shared.

Not every violation of the rules will lead to an account closure. Just because an account is shared does not mean the account will be blocked, and if a shared account is not blocked at a particular time, it does not mean the sharing is allowed.

The rule is there to protect the account holder, not to punish. The rule is also there as an supplement to other more serious rules – for example, account sharing cannot be used as an excuse for some other rule being broken.

The great majority of account thefts – that is to say, “hacked accounts” – happen to account owners who have previously shared their accounts and failed to secure them afterward.

You, as the account owner, are responsible for the security of your game account. Sharing your account information may lead to unintended consequences for your account that customer service agents may not be able to reverse. Further, if someone else who knows your account information provides it to someone else, support staff cannot intervene.

The only time it is ever acceptable to allow someone other than the account owner to play the account is when the account owner’s child under the age of 18 is allowed to play, and then only when the owner is present.

To sum up:

  • Keep your login information secret, and change your password often. Read the PlaySmart page for advice on this, and the Security Post for more details.
  • There is no reason that support staff will consider legitimate to allow another player to use your account.
  •  If you choose to share your account information, or have ever shared it, you should immediately change your password and PIN.

The sale of account has always been a prohibited thing, but unfortunately difficult to control, and impossible to prove
even if the seller revokes its decision, the buyer may change the access to the account.

Thanks !

@Chanix that's a nice spin you try to put up here but not how it goes in reality

anyone can report a player for bought account, this will be investigated by NC including the player that did the reporting to counter false accusations and any & all acounts found to have changed IP/Country/Paypal/CreditCard etc. or gone from fluent English to only Greek/Portuguese etc. will be banned

account sale is banneable and the seller & buyer will have all accounts associated banned, go read the eula.

the caveat here is that NC doesn't bother on their own to go after these kind of issues, only after a report is made will they bring down the banhammer

The buyer or seller of the account can change city or country, change pc, change credit card (everybody has the right to do it and can do it) how to prove that it's the same person who owns the account, so it will be the word of one against the other, and I'm not the police, it's not the role of the players to do justice here, what bothers me is their way of doing it, and that it's up to us to denounce his people o.O O.o,  they just have to do their job right from the start, I'm not here for that.

Thanks !

At Shilen's Soul event , people spent arroud $ 1k to get Shilen's Soul Crytal Lv6 .
Lv 6 up to Lv 7 is 35 % chance
Lv 7 up to Lv 8 is 30 % chance
Lv 8 up to Lv 9 is 15 % chance
Lv 9 up to Lv 10 is 10 % chance
https://l2wiki.com/Shillien's_Soul
So need about 634 + Shilen's Soul Crytal lvl 6 to make one Shilen's Soul Lv 10 ( or arround $ 634.000 ) . But someone can get Shilen's Soul Lv 10 free now by " abused the token policy " .
Do you known how many Shilen's Soul lv 10 made on Naia server ? Juji ?
You ask people  report but " no action at all " .
Players feel so bad coz spent $ for that event .
Can you fixed this problem ? Juji ?

I think you don't know the forum rules. No naming calling mate, why don't you just open a support ticket?

Please, edit your post and remove player name or they will close this thread, which is very useful for all L2 community.
